Flashback(11 years old),Kai's Pov
The weather was wet and grey,sadness all around. It was also pouring rain as everyone surrounded the 2 caskets that held my dead parents. I was glad they were dead,not an ounce of love in them for me. They didn't care about me,only thought of me as their slave and a burden.A Mistake. Not a single ounce of sadness dwelled in my body as I watched the others cry their eyes out as I sat in the oldest oak tree just above the funeral. I spit at their grave and climbed down from the mighty tree's branches and ran away. I ran and ran,didn't have a single thought of looking back. I could here our family friend yelling my name as he looked for me. I didnt care,I was alone. I ran until my legs gave out. I collapsed in an alleyway,not knowing where I was. I was too tired and exhausted to even care. Next thing I knew,I was asleep. I must have slept for hours before I felt a hand grab me. I gasp loudly and go to scream yet they covered my mouth with their hand. I thrashed around trying to get away. They grab my hands together and held me to their chest.

"Easy,easy. I'm not gonna hurt you." A voice said.

I bit their hand hard,leaving a mark. They let go and yell in pain as I crawl back against the farest alley wall. I could see it was a young man(mid 20s) in a suit. He hiss in pain as he held his hand.

"You sure are a biter. I'm sorry,I shouldn't have grabed you like that. My name is Hazuki. I was on my way home and I saw you here,laying in the dirt and I could hear your stomach growling. Why dont you come home with me and I can have my wife cook you something?its ok,we won't hurt you. I promise. We have a daughter that's about your age and you can become friends with her. " Hazuki smiled gently as he extends his hand towards me.

I didnt know the guy,nor did I know what his plans to do with me. But my stomach and my hunger grew louder and bigger,telling me to take his hand. I grabed a disposable piece of glass and hide it behind me,in case he tries anything weird as I hesitantly grabs his hand. Hazuki had a faint smell of expensive cologne and I saw a wedding ring on his finger so maybe he wasn't lying about having a wife.

"What's your name?" He asked as he gently cups my hand in his.

"K-Kai..." I said as my stomach growled.

A blush crept onto my face as Hazuki chuckled and got to his feet. He firmly held my hand as we walked away. It only took us an hour to get to his home which was huge! Almost like a mansion yet a house size home. I was nervous to go in. Hazuki noticed this and kneels down and tried to calm me down. The door to the house slowly opened as a young woman(early 30s) stood in the door way.

"Hazu?is that you?" Asked the woman.

Hazu(ki) got to his feet and smiled as he greets the woman with a kiss. I sorta gagged at the sight for I knew nothing about love.

"Love,this is Kai. I found her laying in an alleyway and I believe she is lost. she is very hungry. Will it be ok with you if she joins us for dinner?" He asked.

The woman stared at Hazu(ki) then looked at me. I grew even more nervous as she continued to stare at me. My stomach growled very loudly,causing me to blush and tear up.

"She is quite dirty..but a bath will fix that." Said the woman as she scoops me up into her arms.
