"You hit hard kid!" a deep voice chuckled, patting a very embarrassed Uzumaki. Teruya groaned, trying to break free of the seal but it was a fruitless attempt.
"Jiraiya-sama could you please let me go??" the teen pleaded, squirming around. Jiraiya was carrying Teruya not bridal style but rather how you would carry a bag of rice. Very "manly".
Kurama "tsk-ed" in disappointment, angering the blond even more. His cheeks flared up, accenting the whiskers on his face.
When was he going to learn?
"...and if you actually get caught, act dumb. That's one thing you're good at."
Shikamaru's voice rang in the blond's head. He sighed. He was a dumb guy sometimes and he accepted that but even he had grown up! He wasn't so foolish either!
Being the number one most unpredictable ninja wasn't easy . In his mind's workshop, he was always thinking of strange ideas and inspirational speeches which would come in handy later when the fight a very strong enemy, and in return they would help him. The powers of an Uzumaki are not to be underestimated.
But seems like some Uzumakis are just born dumb. Gosh its not like he didn't receive proper education or something right? Teruya was feeling guilty now. Why did he not listen during class?
Dammit.
As they were walking, they came across 3 hotsprings but Jiraiya didn't even stop by one. What happened to his perverted tendencies to peek at young women taking baths?
Jiraiya who was getting a suspicious look from Teruya just huffed.
I mean sure he was a pervert and Jiraiya knew that but he didn't know that his reputation for being a pervert exceeded him being one of the Legendary Sannin. Damn, seems like he's gonna have to stay in Konoha for a while.
"So why have you brought me back to Konoha?" Teruya asked, knowing the answer. He didn't want to handle another story on how Jiraiya saved-
"Jiraiya-sama?!" a voice exclaimed very much surprised at the figure standing right infront of them.
Teruya gave an exasperated look to the man who had interrupted them.
Jiraiya laughed.
"Yes Jiraiya the Gallant has returned to Konoha!" he declared, his voice going a few pitches up when he catches sight of another blond person.
"Minato!"
"Jiraiya...sensei?" the owner of the blond hair replied.
And what was Teruya doing? Trying to hide himself and his very much pitiful state.
Minato glanced at the person on Jiraiya's and immediately guessed the only other blond haired person he knew.
"Teruya-san?"
The time traveler looked up from the ground to find himself face to face with another pair of blue eyes. He gasped a bit at the closeness.
"Yeah..." He looked away, feeling shy. Being close to a father who hadn't even lived to raise the Jinchuriki was sad yet he felt happiness spread through his entire being.
Or was it adrenaline?
"Oh yeah Teruya-san, the Sandaime gave us a mission, or rather gave you a mission."
Teruya's heartbeat spiked.
This was not the Kannabi bridge mission was it? He never mentioned anything about the missions and the names of people but if it was, then so be it.
"So what is it?" he asked in a low voice almost sounding like a growl.
"We shall discuss this in a better environment." Minato replied in a serious tone. Teruya nodded.
'Now should be a good time.'
The Sannin's grip on him was getting weaker by the conversation so using that, he used a shunshin to escape bus grasps.
Jiraiya, startled by his sudden movement yelped in surprise, immediately searching for the young teen only to find him before his blond haired student.
"Forgive me but it was getting too hot in there." Teruya replied cheekily, still standing behind the slightly taller male.
Jiraiya was about to reply but was interrupted by the shadows of Konoha.
"The Sandaime has requested you to meet at the Hokage's office."
Jiraiya had a pout on his face which strangely did not look ugly on him before waving his hand dismissively.
"Boy word sure does travel fast around here." he whistled, not taking his eyes off the ANBU. He looked to Minato.
"Don't let go of the kid."
With that, he left at the blink of an eye.
Both the students sweat-dropped.
"He's still the same." they mumbled at the same time. Teruya gasped, clamping his mouth with his hand not so discreetly with a Minato with a surprised (Pikachu face. Okayy jk lol.) expression on his face.
Minato opened his mouth to ask doubts about the things not adding up but then he was very conveniently interrupted by a blur of gold.
With a flash of Red.
His eyes widened. He flipped his head to his right only to find the Uzumaki missing.
He could only give a light laughter of nervousness.
"I'm sorry Jiraiya-sensei."

Teruya panted as he gasped for air, taking in a huge breath before he sighed. Ugghh and that's why you should never get yourself sealed with Minato's jutsu.
It was getting dark already, the sun dripping down to the base of the mountains. The sun casting long shadows over the village as the insects slowly started singing. The perfect scenery.
Uhhh atleast for someone...?
"Shit why the hell does tou-san have to be the fucking Yellow Flash of Konoha." the Jinchuriki murmured, antagonizing over the time wasted playing hide and seek with the two power houses of Konoha.
"But I always seems to be running away." He said out loud, letting go of a frustrated sigh. It was like Kurama said. Running wouldn't do you good, anywhere. He couldn't be acting alike a child now.
But, it just seems so difficult.
He bent his legs more pulling it over his hands to sit more comfortably. The grass he was sitting on was fresh and had a healthy glow to it. It reminded him of the things that would be destroyed during the war. Ahhh, what peace and tranquility. But it's going to be obvious in every other cliché book that this silence has to be interrupted by a disturbing element.
A shrill cry was heard throughout the entire forest, startling Teruya from his meditation. He wipped out a kunai from his pocket and prepared some hand seals just incase it was an enemy attack.
He dashed to the source of the noise to find himself face-to-face with a ninja. And not any other Ninja.
It was an enemy nin.
From the Hidden Mist.
Teruya's eyes widened. What the hell was an enemy nin doing here? Are they here to spy on Konoha? And what was she in doing in their grasps?
Rin tried hard, struggling to get rid of the iron clad grip on her neck. She couldn't breathe. And she was slowly losing the oxygen in her brain when suddenly, a memory jabbed at her.
"You're a pretty valuable person considering that you're a medic chunnin." Teruya stated in his "I-know-everything" voice which kinda irked Obito but he couldn't say anything. Of course to Obito, Rin was his number one priority.
Minato just observed as the jounin was teaching "his" students. Seems like Teruya was a seasoned shinobi. He was so young...yet he has already faced the horrors of this cruel world of shinobis.
Kakashi just listened which was surprising. He still hadn't fully trusted the ninja because of the lack of information about him but one thing he could say was that he was strong.
"So if you're captured by enemy nin, they would most likely make sure you're immobilized so that you wouldn't be able to call for help. So one thing I'd recommend is learning how to escape from grips. Like for example," Teruya got up and made a bunshin before transforming it into Rin.
Obito's eyes sparkled. Why had he not thought of it before?
He brought his arms over the side, the bunshin's body following the movement. Now, the "Rin" was stuck in a practical rearheadlock. A headlock most people would use since people didn't know about it much. A side lock as much easier to learn and escape from.
Teruya looked up to the audience and surprisingly, he had the attention of all four ninjas Even Kakashi. Interesting...
"So now what would you do?" Teruya asked first. Obito lifted his hands wanting to answer.
"Yes Obito-kun."
"Wouldn't you just force your way out or something?" he said, looking proud of his answer. Kakashi's face twisted into one of annoyance.
"That's a foolish thing to do Obito." Kakashi cut off, glaring at the raven head. Obito was about to snap when Teruya interrupted the fight that was going to start.
"And what do you suggest we do Kakashi-kun?" he asked, giving him a knowing smile. Of course Kakashi was going to answer in the most "Kakashi" way ever.
"I'd first make sure that my air-path doesn't get blocked." he remarked, not looking at Obito. The Uchiha's face flushed. And of knowing him, he had mumbled something under the lines of "I knew that"
Kakashi just sighed.
"That's correct! Good job Silver." the Uzumaki teased, earning a glare from the young Hatake.
"So first of all, turn your head to the side where your attacker is attacking you, and in this case," he gestured to the bunshin, "you'd have to turn left."
The "Rin" had done the same.
"Then tuck your hands to the inside of your attackers arms under your chin."
Rins opened her eyes once again. How could she forget what Teruya-san had taught her many times already?
She immediately did what she had remembered. She flipped her head to the right, then grabbed the attacker's hand under her chin. Now what? The spy was caught by surprised and had immediately reacted but Rin was faster.
"Next you should tuck your chin. You could raise your shoulders or shrug them to get more space." Teruya paused as his bunshin's did as he was narrating. The others were listening closely. "You need space to escape so have your chin into the space in the crook of their elbows. That's the most important part of the whole thing alright?"
"One more thing is that it would be easier of you sink down to the ground. It would be much more difficult for the attacker to grab a hold of your neck."
Rin immediately snaked her hands into grapple hook shape and with all her might, she pulled down tucking her chin underneath their elbow. She fell to the ground with her knees digging into the ground. She winced as she could feel the tiny rocks chipping at her skin.
"And then finally, you step back."
There was visible confusion etched on Rin and Obito's face. Kakashi was also a bit confused but did not let it show on his face unlike his teammates.
"What do you mean Teruya-san?" Rin asked curiously as she inched closer to the exhibition right before her eyes. Unknown to her, doing that had her closer to the Uchiha as well which made Obito go into a blushing mess. Minato just smiled.
Maybe this was Teruya's way of having their team bond?
"Let me show you instead. I ain't really good with words so..." he trailed, rubbing the back of his neck with a nervous chuckle. The clones communicated with their eyes and nodded.
"Rin" stepped to the left side behind the leg of the captor, locking their legs. Then she kicked her leg inward at an 180 degree position which caused Teruya the loose his footing. Once she had escaped from the head-lock, she threw the attacker down to the ground.
Teruya grunted as he fell to the ground, and he poofed into thin air while the "Rin" had done the same.
"So that's how you do it alright? Don't forget."
With a sudden burst of chakra, she immediately tripped the enemy nin and gave a good kick on his groin to make sure he stayed that way. Damnn he ain't ever gonna have children after that.
The Kiri nin screamed in pain, and started screaming even louder when a second shock coursed through his body.
Poisin.
And all of this happened in under 15 seconds.
Even Teruya was amazed at her quick reaction time. Without a second to lose, he appeared right infront of her, alarming her as she pulled out another senbon but Teruya was faster.
"Rin."
The girl looked up to find blue eyes staring at her. It sent shivers down her spine. What was that look? What did you call it again? Pride? Joy?
"Teruya-san." she said softly, slowly loosening her shoulder from their previous stiffness. Teruya took the chance to quickly tie up the nin and he started scanning the area.
It would have been much better if he could go Sage mode now.
He closed his eyes and opened it once again to find 3 chakra signatures surrounding him. ANBU Teruya thought as he slowly withdrew another kunai from his pocket and handed it to Rin.
Enemies, stay calm, use this. Teruya mouthed and Rin just nodded. She took the seal and let chakra flow through. As soon as she blinked, it was as if time stopped. The moment chakra filled the seal, 3 shinobis flashed right past Teruya to Rin. But when she opened her eyes again, she found herself in their training ground.
She gasped.
Was this an escaped route?
She rose instantly and flared her chakra, alarming nearby ninjas. The first to appear was her sensei. Minato was walking in the park, with his wife. He gave up searching for the blond man. As they were walking, he felt a sudden spike of chakra near TG25, catching his attention.
Kushina had also realized this and looked to Minato who also knew what was going on.
"It's Rin."
Using a Hiraishin, he appeared instantly beside her. The brown haired girl immediately started speaking.
"It's Teruya-san. We've encountered spies from Kirigakure. There were 4 in total but now it has been reduced to three although I'm not sure if the one I took out was an ANBU or just a normal shinobi."
"Where is this happening?" Minato questioned. Rin pointed to where the sun was setting.
"A bit close to training ground 25."
Minato nodded and he vanished as quickly as he had appeared.
2 other Jounins appeared after Minato and so she explained the situation to them both. Their faces grew serious.
"We'll go inform Hokage-sama now."
And both of them had disappeared leaving a small whirlwind of leaves.
She let out a shaky breath as she dropped down to the ground. Tears welled in her eyes as her brain started registering what had happened. She was alive. And breathing.
Thank you Teruya-san for teaching me.
