What if he came back to the past just like himself? But didn't Kurama just used it for him? No rather, wasn't Teruya the only person alive?

"Dammit where are you when I need you?"

***

"Two days. Aghhh it's in two days but I still don't have a plan. This is killing me."

Let's pause right there.

So what happened?

Well, a day went by since the Hokage informed them of their mission. Well technically, it was "information" that Hiruzen slightly scared Teruya but everything was sorted out. They had a team dinner as planned and Teruya met with the red haired Uzumaki once again which surprised Minato but as you know, all's well that ends well.

Technically this was the 4th major mission during Teruya's entire stay in Konoha. Yes, 14 days only. Weren't things going by too quickly? He still hadn't gotten to know more about the village but he was already going to be facing the mission.

Yes, the mission.

The Kannabi Bridge mission.

So what was he going to do? Save Obito? But that was going to not allow Kakashi to grow from his "follow the shinobi rules" blah blah blah state in forever and Teruya didn't want that happening in this time line.

How could he get over it without "ruining" anything?

This was going to be difficult.

He recalled watching the whole scene unfold right infront of him. Minato would go on separately to support the war while the other 3 (with Kakashi's new jounin title) go to destroy the bridge. And then Teruya, who was a variable that could change the whole outcome of the war would go along with them.

Simple...right?

Nervousness danced in the blond's stomach, his mouth going dry at the thought of the 4th Great Ninja war repeating again. Atleast, this timeline shouldn't have to suffer what he went through. His apartment, something he just casually rented was still empty. It didn't hold the essence of Uzumaki Teruya yet.

The mission was technically in 2 days but planning was going to be needed. He had thought of speaking to his teacher, one of the great Sanin, but threw that idea right out the window.

Like Shikamaru said, he was a bad actor.

Wild thoughts of possible outcomes, unfavorable scenarios, imaginary situations just popped in his brain.

Teruya...just couldn't think straight.

He sighed, sitting on the store smelling sofa and closed his eyes.

An ideal world.

Something he wanted. Something he could only dream of.

"Seems like I won't be Hokage in this lifetime." he muttered bitterly, getting up as he started to undress. A green jounin vest, a new  headband, fresh clothes and shoes that were already battered from the amount of running he had done.

As he started emptying out the contents of his vest, a loud thump caught his attention, causing him to snap out of the trance he was stuck in.

He gently brought a hand over the green book that lay there on the small coffee table, spots of red and unusual page tears.

A small smile graced his lips as he brought it closer to him, memories of the owner of the book resurfacing in his maze like mind.

"Heh, I wonder if you're going to get into those porn books again this time."

It was quite the old book now. Why did Kakashi-sensei still have that book in his pocket?

"As if you'd be able to defeat enemies like you did with us at first Kakashi-sensei." Teruya began chuckling a bit, brushing a hand over the first few pages of the book.

"I really don't know what I'm doing here sensei. It feels strange I guess?"

A short conversation. It was as if the silver haired jounin was still there, sitting infront of him and giggling while flipping through the pages of the perverse book.

Though seemingly difficult to speak to, Kakashi was a good listener. Sharing his experiences of life, though comforting people wasn't really his thing.

"What would you do if you were in my position sensei? Would you just do it like you always do cooly? Or would you have done it professionally?"

Why was this so difficult? Wasn't the whole purpose of coming here supposed to be "saving" the future?

"Why am I here, Kakashi sensei?" he choked, wiping away tears that trickled down his face, his lips feeling uncomfortable from the salty liquid.

"I don't belong here. I-I don't know anything."

"This is not easy." The rustling of the leaves and the rattling windows signaled him that it was going to rain.

Dried red soaked the last few pages of the book. He let out a small frustrated sigh.

"Why does it have to be me?"

Uhhh okayyy so I kinda like brought myself together to continues this book now. It is quite difficult to update books and have a certain plot on mind because it ain't easy.

I mean, I have a whole life outside writing books and it's getting a bit difficult for me to focus lol. I had to take some breaks here and there, checking the notifications from time to time. My exams are getting over soon so it is getting easier to update chapters now and stuff.

Well anyway, you just wasted 2 minutes of your life reading this small rant but whatever XD

So I will be continuing this book (although there are some plot holes. I will be fixing them when I have the time) so I guess I'm back?

Lol I just started this book on a whim but damnn, already 600+ reads so thank you for that as well :)

Any questions, just ask. Well anyway.

Bye.
