The Wedding
This story was written before I figured out Elliot's timeline, like his birthday and his age relative to the movies. So while this story doesn't make chronological sense, this is part of Elliot and Newt's story.

Newt stood outside the bakery for only a moment, before he felt the familiar tug of his pant leg, coming from his only child. The feeling snapped him out of his thoughts, causing him to look down at the small toddler, who eagerly stared up at him. He let out a soft laugh before holding his hand out to the little one.
"Are you ready?" The toddler only giggled before grabbing her Dad's hand, or actually, his pointer finger. The wizard took this as a sign and walked towards the double doors. He looked down at his daughter once more, watching as her hair bounced with each step she took. She was her father's daughter, that was for sure. She had the same color and type of hair as him, which his friends thought adorable.
The two walked through the doors, just to be greeted by all the familiar faces. Newt felt the toddler's grip tighten on his finger, and instinctively reached down and picked her up, resting her on his hip. She wiggled around in her father's grip to get more comfortable, before grappling onto his suit jacket. She rested her cheek against his shoulder, looking out across the people. She wasn't yet in her dress, having been in a rush to leave in the first place. Her father excused them for a moment to get ready, knowing that the wedding would start soon. Everyone was excited, but all he felt was anxiety.
Once in the backroom, he set his daughter down on a table and took her dress out of the bag. She hadn't been paying attention, her mind clearly somewhere else as she happily kicked her legs and looked around the room. The wizard was glad that the situation was going well, as she could be quite stubborn at times. Of course, right as he thought it was going well, she started to fuss. Her face scrunched up as her dad started to slide the dress over her head. She whined and slapped her arms down to her sides, not allowing him to get her arms through the short sleeves.
"Oh- come on..." He sighed, rather frustrated. He stopped for a moment before trying to lift one of her arms up. "Ellie please, you need to put it on, only for a moment.." He tried, but she still didn't budge. She only glared up at him, not wanting to move one inch.
"Ellie." He added, rather sternly. When she heard the different tone of voice, her expression fell. She stuck out her bottom lip and whined once more, sniffling just the slightest.
"I don' wanna..." She mumbled, looking down at her sock-clad feet as she kicked them gently.
"And whys that?" Newt said softly, letting go of the dress. He had always been patient with his daughter and listened to her if she tried to express her feelings. He knew that she had a difficult time with it, not only because she was a toddler, but because of other circumstances. He had difficulty with it as well, so he knew to listen, and let her take her time.
"I don' like it..." She paused, before continuing. "Feels icky..." She pouted, letting out a small huff. Newt paused, picking out his words before speaking. "How does it feel 'icky'?" He licked over his lips before adding on to clarify for the four-year-old. "Is it the texture," the wizard paused, gently rubbing the fabric of the dress between his thumb and pointer finger to show what texture meant, before continuing on; "or in here?" He said softly before pointing to her heart. Ellie watched her dad, before reaching forward to grab his finger.
"In here..." She pointed it towards herself, then looked up at him expectantly. Newt blinked, taking a moment to process this. He let out a little breath and looked down, then back at his daughter. He was gentle as he started to take the dress off of her, smiling softly as her hair stuck up after it was pulled off of her head.
"Well, since the dress is icky, what do you want to wear?" Newt asked her softly, putting the dress down before looking at her with soft eyes. Almost instantly, Ellie smiled and lunged herself forward, grabbing ahold of her father's vest and jacket.
"I wanna dress like you!" She giggled, looking up at him happily. He only smiled and lifted her up, holding her against his side for a moment. He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead before setting her down. He pulled out his wand, smiling as the magic dressed her in a little button-up, and bow tie.
"Now how's that?" He smiled expectantly, tucking his wand away. A small creature emerged from his own jacket pocket, poking his head out to look at the toddler as well. The Bowtruckle made an approving noise, looking up at Newt. Ellie only laughed and nodded, starting to flap her hands excitedly. The wizard laughed and instantly scooped his daughter up quickly, lifting her high up into the air. She laughed loudly before gripping onto Newt as tight as she could. He held her against his hip once more, making sure Picket was set in his pocket.
"Daddy..?" The four-year-old spoke up, her voice soft. Newt only hummed and looked over at her, a small smile still on his face. However, it slowly faded when he heard her next words.
"How come you 'getta be a boy...?" She whispered, almost ashamed of her thoughts. "I wanna be a boy too..." She gripped onto his jacket tighter, scared to let go. Newt stood silently, not having a clue of what to say. He however could see her expression change, he always hated when she got upset.
"Well, it's as easy as that." He started softly, looking from the Bowtruckle in his pocket, to his only child. "If you want to be a boy, and you feel like one, then you can be one." He knew that it was more complicated than that, but for a four-year-old, there was no reason for it to be.
"Really!?" She instantly perked up, a wide smile spreading across her face.
"Really." Newt smiled, nodding. He let out a small breath, just wanting his child to be happy. "E-ellie, do you want a boy name as well?" He looked at her, scanning over her features quickly as he waited for them to answer. After a moment, they slowly nodded.
"I-i wan it to be Elliot..." They whispered. "B-but-" Their head instantly snapped up, causing their hair to flop slightly. "I wan' my middle name to be your name daddy! Please?" Newt seemed to tense, shocked by his now son's, exclamation. After a moment, he just nodded.
"Alright. As long as your happy, I'm happy." The wizard's smile grew, seeing his son's face brighten up. He laughed softly, watching as his toddler instantly hugged his side. Newt shifted them so he could properly hug him. He had never been a hugger, no... That was his brother's job. But he could never deny a hug from his son.
