Black neatly folded the paper and placed it on the table beside him. White guard stood silently beside him, ready to comfort him if needed.
"Well.. my nightmares are usually about... well my past.. how I died." He paused, as if remembering his horrific images.
"But they're not like recaps of it. It's always different. Like last time I had a nightmare, I was in Moonlit River Park running away from a giant wave of water. When it caught me, I started to drown. Just like on that day..." he trailed off and faced his head slightly towards white guard. White gently patted his head, calming Black down. He cleared his throat and continued.
"Another time, I was in Lakeside chasing survivors when suddenly the water rose up and then... there was Hastur? Or an octopus of some sort and it dragged me into the water which was suddenly... suddenly, uh, very rough, you know? Uhm. And then it rained and uh... yeah..." he coughed and bowed his head. White knelt down next to him and hugged him, rocking him back and forth.
"It's okay.. it's all over.." he whispered soothingly. Black smiled. "Thank you, White."
A few moments passed as Black stared into nothingness, thinking and remembering everything.
"I think... I'm done." He whispered.
White nodded understandingly.
