Chapter 4: She's Only Memories Now

(BIG WARNING: One of the main characters dies in this chapter. Honestly, idk why I did it. Cause the character didn't deserve to die. But you know me, always love a chance to fuck shit up in a fanfic.)

(NEWEST UPDATE: I rewrote this chapter cause the first draft was TRASH.)

"I don't understand what you're talking about Hades." Annabel said quite confused

"I'm going to take from you what you love the most." Hades smiled sinisterly

"Don't worry. You'll always be able to visit her here." Hades said letting go of her hold on everyone

"Her?!" Annabel stood up shocked and concerned, then looked straight to River, "No. No you can't take her."

River's eyes were sad, "Goodbye my love."

With a flick of Hades wrist River's neck was snapped, and her body fell to the floor like a rag doll, "She's only memories now my dear."

Annabel broke, "NOOOOOOOO! Oh no, no, this is all my fault, I should of never hurt Hades. What have I done?"

Right when she thought she could lay down and die, she suddenly felt something awaken in her. Was it anger? Insanity? No. It was rage; the purest of all emotion. Rage only has one goal. To destroy.

There was only one way to best a goddess of this strength. It was to use her regeneration energy against Hades. To do that she would have to force herself to regenerate. Only few Timelords have mastered this ability. Though they say when a Timelord is at their breaking point, it is possible.

Annabel focused on the pain, on the rage, on every moment she lost something she loved so dear, on every betrayal that had her speechless, on all the horrible memories she's had to carry around throughout her everlasting life.

She looked down at her hands; they were glowing a beautiful yellow color. It had begun.

"No. No that's not possible. Timelords can not, unless..." Hades spoke in shock

Annabel turned her head to the others gracefully, and with a voice full of determination she said, "Get Misty. I'll meet you in the Tardis."

The other did as told, leaving Hades and Annabel alone. However, before The Doctor has left, she swore she saw worry in her eye.

Annabel let her regeneration energy shoot at Hades, and the Goddess fell to the floor. Annabel made the Energy come back into her body, holding off the full regeneration for now. Bell walked up to her, then knelt down, "How could you?" Was all she asked

Hades struggled, her eyes wide. Only if for a moment it was as if Hades was a mere woman. Annabel could see the pain behind her eyes, and feel the betrayal she had been through. Hades was speechless, her head hung in sorrow.

Annabel pitied the Goddess really. Then she remembered what Hades had done earlier, and the rage came back, "I will save River. I will find a way to bring her back. As for you, I'll leave you to your loneliness. You have no one now.....maybe, just maybe, one day you can make it up to me. Goodbye Hades."

Annabel got up slowly, her eyes tariling a path to River's body. She knelt down next to the woman she loved. She loved her so much. She wondered in that moment why she ever left the woman.

Bell felt a few tears fall, but she hardened her face. All the memories, times of River, when they fought, when they made love, when they adventured to a far off land, or when they just sat next to one another in a comfortable silence. She had to use these memories as fuel to go on, and forgive herself. So that's exactly what she did.

She picked up her dead wife bridal style and walked into the Tardis. Within a moment the blue box was gone, never to return to the Underworld again.
