Flare
1:
The sky was heated up by the sizzling sun blazing hot up above. The heat was tiring, and quite uncomfortable for a young eevee with slightly fluffy fur, but another eevee sitting next to them with royal blue eyes quite liked the warmth.
Everything at the moment was perfect, the blue eyed eevee, Flare, was sitting next to his best friend Asriel, basking in the summer heat of Kalos.
Asriel sat up, and yawned. "How are you not sweating? It's scorching in this area!" Asriel said, standing up. "Ima sit over there, it's too hot here" said the fluffier eevee, with a gesture of his head to a shady area, underneath the treehouse they've built. Flare stretched out. "Suit yourself"
The pale brown fur of the eevee looked almost golden, when touching the sunlight. Flare loved the sun, he loved warmth, he loved friends. His thoughts then dragged on to things he was grateful for, as he was a luckier eevee to live like this.
As a few hours past, and the sun sets. The two eevees were in the treehouse, playing Imaginative games, until a dark eevee with a red glint in his eyes walked over.
"Asriel! Come down here, we have to go back", the eevee yelled down from below the treehouse. Asriel's fur puffed up, and he sighed." Sorry Flare. I gotta go back early, because apparently Eclipse said so" Said the fluffier eevee, rolling his eyes.
"Oh, alright! See ya tomorrow" Flare said, patting down his scruff. "Mhm" Asriel hummed, and clumsily climbed down the ladder to the treehouse in a regal way. Down below, the dark colored eevee watched in silence, with an emotionless expression..
Flare shuddered, remembering the last interaction with Asriel's brother. He's so emotionaless, and... Intimidating.. Pretty much the opposite of his friend Asriel. It would be impossible to tell those two were brothers at first glance to anyone.
The eevee with royal blue eyes lay down in the middle of the treehouse, the light of the moon shining through the small building to land on Flare's face. He looked at the stars.
Though, the night was nice, Flare prefered the morning.. After all, theres no sun at night, which means no natural warmth. That's why Flare either wants to evolve into an espeon or a flareon when he grows up. If he evolves into either one, he'll feel warmth all the time.
He sighed happily, thinking of how cool he would look evolving into either one, but then remembered that he has to go back home.. The eevee stood up, and climbed down the ladder, accidentally getting a splinter on his paw pad from the wooden ladder.
Flare winced, and tried to take the small piece of wood out of his paw before he started walking again.
2:
Years later
The treehouse was even BIGGER than before! Flare was very happy with the change, as his tail wagged from side to side.
Asriel woke him back to reality, by tapping his shoulder softly. "Flare, Flare, Flare, Flare" Asriel repeated over and over again, waiting for Flare to say something.
"What?"
"... Hi..." Asriel said before laughing
Flare shook his scruff. "... Asriel.. What is it? Really?".
The other eevee looked around sheepishly. "I have a GREAT idea!!" he said, standing up, with wide eyes. Flare cocked his head to the side, in a curious way.
"How about when we get older, or more independent.... We make a BIG treehouse... And invite other eevees to be there!!" Said Asriel, making such a bold statement.
Flare tilted his ears. "Uh.. Why would we do that?"
"Beeeecauseeee.... It's fun! And I want other kits to have fun, and go through something similar to our great childhood!!" The other eevee exclaimed, his fur standing up.
"Just imagine it! Giant treehouse! And a bunch of eevees roaming it! And us being in charge, and taking care of them! OH, and most of all.... ACTIVITIES.." He said, bursting with euphoria.
Flare gave him a weird look. "Wouldn't that be... Too much to handle?-" "Yeah buuttt... We can handle it!" Asriel said, inturupting Flare's whole speech. "We can handle anything Flare!"
The blue eyed eevee looked at the ground.. He wanted to talk about all the reasons why that would go wrong, but there would be no point in arguing. After all, after several weeks or months, Asriel would forget about the whole thing.
"Ok... Sounds fun.." he said in a less enthusiastic tone that Asriel didn't pay attention to. Asriel smiled brightly, and started to walk away.
"....Where are you going?" Flare asked.
"I'm going to do.. Something!" Asriel replied, before leaving Flare alone by himself.

As the days pass, Asriel has been gone longer and longer. Flare would usually just wait in the treehouse whenever the other eevee was gone, but this time he decided to explore. The young fox Pokemon was walking through a small town hoping to find anything interesting to do, until he noticed an eevee that almost looked exactly like him, besides the color of the eyes. The eye color was a warm shade of purple, with yellow highlights that looked like a small spark.
Flare was quite curious of this eevee look-a-like, so he walked up to them.
The eevee was on a large Boulder near the dark green forest, holding their guard down, looking at the grey cloudy sky. They held a formal composure, holding a perfect posture. "Hello!" Flare said in a friendly matter to the eevee.
The other eevee didn't flinch, they just looked down upon Flare, yet he did it like they were equals.
"Hello" the other eevee said, swishing their tail. "So.. I'm sorry for asking this out of the blue, but, what's you name?" Flare asked. The pokemon paused for a moment, looking quite hesitant, for some reason. "I'm Spark.. Spark'Gazer" he said as soft as the wind."woooaahhh... That's a cool name!" Flare said to Spark, as he sat down.
"Is that all you wanted to ask me?" Spark'Gazer asked, his ear flicking. "I think so..? Well, I just wanted to talk to you for a bit, since we look kinda the same" Flare said, tilting his head.
Spark didn't react to that information. "I see.. Well, I am going to be on my way, I have some business to attend to" said Spark.
"O-oh.. Ok, bye!" Flare said to Spark, seeing him walk off into the deep forest.
Flare saw no need to stay in town anymore, so he walked back to the treehouse.
4:
"This is Sunny!" Asriel said excitedly to Flare. "Hello!" the small eevee greeted, their face full of joy.
Flare slightly tilted his head. He never seen this eevee in this life, and he wondered why he has never met her before until now. "..Hi.." he said, before trailing off. "Asriel, is this your sister?" he asked. Asriel have him a confused look. "No? This is going to be someone who will help us take care of the future treehouse!
Flare mentally palmed his face. "He's not serious, is he?". Flare looked up at Asriel's excited face, and he sighed, knowing he was in fact serious. "Do we.. Really have to prepare now? We're not even 15 years old yet, too far from being old enough to do this" Flare said, trying not to sound annoyed.
Asriel's smile faded. "Oh, uh, im sorry- I'm just... Sooooo excited" he said. Sunny looked slightly uncomfortable. "Uh, If this is not my conversation, do I just.. Leave?-" she asked. "Oh, oh yes yes. You can leave. We'll talk about the treehouse tomorrow!" he said happily. Sunny just nodded, and walked away.
Flare watched Sunny walk off, and he shook his scruff. "Is she the only one that will help us in the future?" He asked. "Oh no, I want to find all kinds of eevee that evolve into all kinds of eeveeloutions! It'll be great!" Asriel exclaimed. "But what about-" Flare was about to say, but he kept his mouth shut. Surely Asriel will forget about this plan.
