"Should we go?" Adrien appeared next to their desk after school ended.
Marinette was so frightened that she jumped up from her chair. "OH MY GOD! Adrien you scared me!"
The blonde boy laughed at her and then they got out of school.
After they started walking, Adrien wanted to start a conversation. "So, what are your hobbies?"
"Huh?!" Marinette didn't expect that they would talk on the way home. "OH, I really like d-designing and making clothes and... that's pretty much it." She blushed and looked at the ground before asking "What are yours?"
Adrien smirked, he decided to start his plan. "Well you know, it's not a hobby but... I really like Ladybug and Chat Noir." He turned to Marinette just to see her reaction, which was priceless.
She was looking at Adrien, shocked, speechless, before she managed to say "eheheheh, yeah I-I really like them t-too."
Adrien thought to himself "This is gonna work like a charm. Look at her adorable little shocked expression."
"Who do you think is better?" He asked Marinette.
She looked at Adrien, baffled, she said "Oh... Uhhh, to be honest..." She was too shocked to even act like her shy, normal self.
"Get it together Marinette, gosh!" She thought. "How hard can it be to talk about your life-long partner next to the love of your life?"
She gathered the confidence to finally say "You know what, Ladybug would destroy Chat in a battle of cool-ness." She was surprised at how much that sounded like her other persona. She liked it.
And so did Adrien. His face lit up from finally seeing Marinette as her true self.
That gave him the little push he needed to act more like Chat Noir. "Oh really? I think Chat is so much more chill than Ladybug. He would crush Ladybug with his looks." He went as far as saying "He should be a model."
"I think it's best if we leave that to you. That silly alley cat can't even do his own work!" she laughed.
When they arrived at Marinette's house, he greeted her parents.
"Uhhh, mom, dad, this is Adrien." She pointed to him with her hands.
"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng. Since Marinette is really good at chemistry, I came here to take lessons from her." He smiled at them.
Tom looked at Sabine and said "We're glad that we can help you. Make yourself at home."
"Thanks, sir." After that, they started to go up to Marinette's room.
Just then, Marinette remembered something, there were pictures of Adrien all over her walls!
Nervous, she said "OH, MOM AND DAD, WHY DON'T YOU GIVE ADRIEN SOME FOOD WHILE I GO CHECK-I MEAN TIDY MY ROOM?!" She pushed Adrien and said "Go, they'll happily give you some cookies." She tried to smile as innocently as possible.
Adrien was kind of weirded out. "O-okay?" He walked towards her parents.
Meanwhile Marinette had gone up to her room and started taking the posters off.
"Crap, Tikki! I totally forgot these existed!" She was panicking.
"Don't forget your computer background!" Tikki was also trying to help with the pictures.
Marinette had taken down the last poster when Adrien came in with a plate of cookies on his hands.
"You know I have to be in shape, right?" Adrien chuckled.
"Oh come on, one cookie won't kill you." She realized who she was speaking to and became shy again. "I-I made them." She scratched the back of her neck.
Adrien decided that it was time for a little bit of Chat to come out. "If you made them, then I'll gladly eat." He smirked and took a bite while still looking into her eyes.
Marinette had never blushed so hard in her life.
"Oh my god." Adrien said quietly.
Marinette was so nervous that he didn't like them. "Are t-they that b-bad?"
Adrien looked up with confusion. "Huh? No! They are so good!" He walked towards her. When they only had a couple of inches left between them, he said "The best cookies I've ever tasted."
He suddenly got out of his flirty mood and changed into a bit more of a cheerful one. "Anyways! What do you want to do?"
Marinette, still not able to speak, just looked at him for a while. This on and off Chat-ness made Adrien very glad that Marinette was the girl that he loved. After she realized she was staring, she said "UMMM, a-aren't we going to s-study?"
"Oh, about that..." Adrien smiled nervously. "That was just an excuse to see you."
Marinette just looked at Adrien, shocked. "W-what do you mean?"
"I will tell you what I mean." He winked. He sat down on her couch next to her and started talking about her. "Marinette... You have these beautiful blue eyes, hair dark blue as the night sky." He was looking her right in the eyes. "You have this figure that's just... ugh. But beyond those things..." He held her hands tightly in his. "You are clever, shy but confident at the same time. You are funny, witty and the best person I've ever met." Marinette didn't think getting this red was possible.
He came closer. "I-I..." He took a deep breath. This was it. The moment of truth. "I love you."
Marinette pulled her hand back hesitantly. She asked "I-is this a prank?"
"Why would it be one..." Adrien caressed Marinette's wound. "...m'lady?"
