Chapter 2
It's been a few days.
Sakura was already up and running around, happy and excited. Tamao kept a close watch on his younger sister.
The humans came and grabbed her. Tamao bit one of the humans, who proceeded to throw him into the wall.
When the humans left, Tamao remained alone. Alone and scared. Cold. Even colder. Why was the room getting so cold?
He watched as a glaceon walked in front of the glass. It made some sense. Two humans were staring at him. An older boy, and a younger girl. The young girl nodded when the humans- scientists asked her something.
After a brief moment, they walked away, where they came from.
Tamao wondered what was going to happen. He heard cheering down the hall, then Sakura was put back into the glass cage. She didn't seem injured.
"What happened?" Tamao asked her. "I hurt, then I no hurt." Sakura squeaked. Tamao knew what this meant. Sakura had learnt Moonlight, meaning she was already a breeding candidate.
Tamao growled under his breath, knowing the scientists would try their hardest to make sure she wouldn't forget Moonlight.
Tamao on the other hand wanted her to forget it. He didn't want her to become like their mother on the other end of the room- constantly bred, never getting a break from bearing kids.
The scientists grabbed Tamao, putting on the muzzle, then dragging him elsewhere. Somewhere new. He was pulled past many different eevee's, some hybrids, some seemingly purebred, and others that were evolved.
It was strange, being dragged instead of carried. Tamao tried to fight it, but he was too weak. Too weak.
He was brought into a room, then tied down. Blood was drawn from him, and the scientists placed it in a machine. Something was appearing on the screen, but Tamao couldn't read it. "See!? Purebred! That'll make him worth more!" One of the scientists said. "I thought he was crossed with the Lunatone?" The other asked. The first shook his head. "No, we wanted the Lunatone to be there for the next breeding session, but the kits were stillborn. As for Project S-M429's sister, S-M431, she is also purebred. Father's being the same since he had decent results." The first one explained.
Tamao didn't understand. The second scientist nodded, and they grabbed Tamao, taking him into the 'training' room. They injured him, more than usual. He cried out in pain, pleading for help, but they didn't stop. They wanted him to use Moonlight, but when he didn't use it, they took him back to Sakura.
When he was placed down, Sakura came running over. The humans left the two siblings to interact.
Tamao closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He was still shaky, yet he knew he wouldn't be left with a scar. Tamao attacked the wall and kept doing that until he didn't have any energy. He helped Sakura forget Moonlight as well, not wanting her to remember it for the sake of safety.
When the humans came by, Tamao had Sakura stop, and watch as they passed.
It may have only been a few days since she was born, but Tamao was still teaching her everything he knew.
When the humans fully passed, he went back to having her forget Moonlight. It was surprisingly easy.
She was also too worn out, so they piled up and went to sleep- or at least, Sakura did. When she fell asleep, Tamao went back to training. Truth be told, he already knew Moonlight, but he just refused to use it.
Tamao kept attacking the wall until he physically collapsed from exhaustion. He felt bad for his mother, who was in the opposite cage to Tamao and Sakura. But Tamao didn't care. He wanted to make sure he was strong enough in case the humans dragged him again, and he wanted to make sure he was strong enough to protect his younger sister- who was already bigger than him.
That was his problem. He was small. Tamao knew it, and he already hated himself for it. If he were bigger, things like this wouldn't be a problem. Tamao walked over to Sakura, and laid down, not wanting her to wonder why he was away from her.
"S-M429 is too close to his sister. Should we take S-M431 away?" One asked. Another shook their head. "No. S-M429 will be used for the first ever fusion between human and pokemon, there is no point. Besides, they're bonded, if we were to separate them, they could gain depression then die. I've watched something like that happen before with Miltank. It could happen with eevee as well." The other answered. The first one nodded, then the third one piped up. "What will we do if S-M431 were to forget Moonlight?" "We keep her for breeding. We already know she has Moonlight in her genes. That could be like dying red hair brown, you'll still have red hair, it's just hidden." The second answered. "What about pairing? Will we pair her with another purebred? Or perhaps a mutt?" The first asked. "We pair her with anyone that has known Moonlight. Best for a purebred though since they go for a lot. However, if we get a mutt that is close to being a new pokemon on its own, and it has Moonlight, then we will pair her with that pokemon." The second responded.
