Bask was in a golden age, poverty, sickness,  greed had all been conquered.  Their space program netted colonies on the moon, and the nearest planets in their system.  They had even made contact with another space fairing race.  Life was good - or so they thought.

While the Bask developed their first faster than light drive and tested it, the Sunderbans, the barrier between the Galaxy Core and the Rim, approached.  They launched the ship to explore the Sunderbans just before it enveloped their system.  And the Golden Age ended, as fire fell from the sky.

Status: Parts of this are in works. 

Planning on three sections: End of the Golden Age, Rise of the Lukadia, and The Age of Grey.  Mainly working up a history of the Lukadia, how they came to be, rose, and fell.
