OK SO i havent updated this book in forever but new idea

Basically the sea kingdom has two princesses— the older one is strong and smart but tyrannical and doesn't really care about her subjects, the other is kind and empathetic but couldn't possibly win in a fight against her sister.

One day the queen dies through natural causes, and the throne is automatically passed down to the older sister because... duh, she's older, and that's just how it works. The whole Burn/Blister/Blaze thing shouldn't even have realistically happened lol, Burn would've become queen by default.

Anyways, the older sister (who I should really come up with a name for) brings a lot of uncertainty throughout the kingdom because they all know how ruthless she can be. The royal funds are quite low because they were used on the SeaWing/SkyWing war that'd ended recently, so the villagers are taxed heavily, which causes a large increase of hunger because they live near the western border where there's lesser prey to be caught and now they don't have any money to buy food with.

Almost every SeaWing is clamoring for the younger princess to challenge the queen for the throne, but she refuses, knowing she couldn't possibly win, and isn't sure if she could even be a better queen anyway.

A few riots break out, but they're silenced violently by the queen's guards. Now every village is under heavy surveillance, and any sign of resistance or disapproval towards the new queen and her decisions are punished. The kingdom grows more distraught until finally the younger princess flees from the castle, fearing that her life was at great risk. She gathers supporters throughout the villages, dragons who want her to become queen instead of her tyrant of an older sister.

Soon, a large group is formed, calling themselves The Rebellion, with their main goal being to dethrone the queen and replace her with the princess.
