Two half-sisters live in the Sky Kingdom— the younger one is a Sky-Ice hybrid while the older sister is pure IceWing

The hybrid is named Skyfrost while the other is named Freezefall (listen, I just thought these names were cool)

Skyfrost is mainly pale orange with wing membranes that fade into gray with some darker streaks like bird feathers, while Freezefall has mostly ivory scales with some light purple and blue fades

I'll work out their backstory later but basically they're allowed to live in the palace in exchange for working as royal guards of the SkyWing princess, Cinder

Skyfrost is incredibly insecure about the fact that she's a hybrid, and it doesn't help that a lot of the dragons working at the palace tend to make fun of her (although most of them don't; Pyrrhia is generally more accepting of hybrids in this AU, but there are still some out there who dislike them)

So Skyfrost takes her job SUUUUPER seriously in an attempt to prove herself. She's extremely overprotective of Cinder, and often has to be stopped from attacking anyone who seems like they might be a threat

She's also very prejudiced against hybrids and other tribes despite being half IceWing

Also she treats Freezefall like shit and yells at her all the time, criticizing every little thing she does and basically verbally abuses her

Skyfrost is fairly popular with the palace dragons who don't have anything against hybrids, and is very respected for being a great bodyguard of Cinder

Freezefall, on the other hand (or talon), is reclusive and never talks to anyone if she can avoid it. She almost always has a neutral expression and is just kinda introverted, which causes her to be very unpopular. Dragons talk about her behind her back, and sometimes even outright insult her. They usually don't though, since the queen will punish anyone who provokes her daughter's guards. Skyfrost doesn't do anything to stop this or defend her sister, and occasionally even joins in

Years go by and Freezefall is basically at her limit, enduring so much of Skyfrost's yelling, risking her life for a princess who doesn't care about her, and spending every day with dragons who dislike her

So one night she's out on a midnight flight to clear her mind, and she meets a female SandWing named Caracal who's on the run from the Scorpion Den for reasons that I haven't decided on yet :)

They talk for a while, decide that they want to be friends, and Freezefall goes out every single night to see Caracal, and eventually they fall in love, Foeslayer and Arctic style except that they actually take the time to get to know each other before wanting to get married

But as in all forbidden romance stories, there's always gotta be that one character who tries to ruin everything, in this case: Skyfrost.

She's suspicious because her sister has been more tired than usual lately, and goes on too many "hunting expeditions" and other excuses to go out. So she follows Freezefall, and witnesses their date

Skyfrost has approximately 7 heart attacks before flying back to the palace to think about what she'd just seen

I'm not gonna reveal any more of the plot because I actually wanna write this, but I'm hoping it'll have more than 2 chapters
