In the Union x Valor react story, I plan to introduce the Vanguardians in the Star Wars universe, as the Vanguard, an elite commando unit of Mandalorian warriors who are part of the Mandalore resistance and the Rebel Alliance, fighting against the Empire, the Shadow Collective, Mandalorian Imperialists, and those who threaten the safety of Mandalore.

Founded in 3 BBY in secret by Bo-Katan Kryze, the unit was made up of members from different clans of Mandalore, including Clan Kryze, Wren, Vizsla, Saxon, and Kast, who Bo-Katan herself personally handpicked. All members are known for having their armors forged with Beskar steel, and their rather violent and brutal tactics toward Imperialists and Stormtroopers.

Ethan Kryze

The son of Bo-Katan Kryze. His father was a member of the Nite Owl who perished while resisting Darth Maul. Trained by Fenn Rau, the leader of Concord Dawn's protectors, along with his mother's unit members Koska Reeves and Axe Woves, Ethan became a formidable warrior. He have sworn to support her mother on reclaiming Mandalore from Empire.

Joshua Wren

The youngest son of Alrich and Ursa Wren, and younger brother of both Sabine and Tristan Wren. During his time in the Imperial Academy, Joshua was horrified that the Empire used his sister's Arc Pulse Generator to use it against the Mandalorians, and eventually, when his sister was exiled for speaking against the Empire, he ran away. After that, he joined the Rebel Alliance, and during his time, he met Saw Gerrera, where he became his mentor.

Henry Vizsla

Henry's parents were part of Vizsla clan who were supporters of Pre Vizsla, the leader of Death Watch and the previous wielder of the Darksaber. After the Siege of Mandalore, his parents died fighting the Empire. Later on, he was mentored by Paz Vizsla, another member of the clan. During his time, Henry discovered that he was Force-sensitive due to being the descendant of Tarre Vizsla. With it, he planned to claim the Darksaber, hoping to become a Jedi and bring peace to Mandalore- and the entire galaxy.

Alice Saxon

The daughter of Gar Saxon, who was part of Darth Maul's Imperial Super Commando and later Imperial governor. During Saxon's time in Mandalore, she became disillusioned with her father's loyalty to Empire, and eventually, she betrayed her father and left Mandalore to join the Rebels. During her time, she was tasked with becoming a bodyguard for Mon Mothma.

Rachel Kast

A member of Clan Kast and a bounty hunter-turned-Rebel. During the Empire's control over Mandalore, Rachel lost her younger brother Rilo, where Rachel became known for hunting down Imperial officers and brutally executing them to avenge her brother.

A/N: Now, while I plan to add this as a chapter in Union x Valor react story, I also plan to make it a full story, chronicling the Vanguard's battle against the Empire to protect Mandalore. I also plan to add another bio regarding the Union bullies and corrupt headmasters as part of the Empire, the Union and Valor Academy students and professors as Rebels, Jedis, and other Mandalorian warriors, and many more.
