The first match of the respective teams were scheduled as:
1. Kolkata Knight riders V/S Kings eleven Punjab
2. Mumbai Indians V/S Chennai super kings
3. Royal challengers Bangalore V/S Delhi daredevils
4. Sunriser Hyderabad V/S Rajasthan Royals

The first match was between Kolkata Knight riders and kings eleven Punjab in the historic Eden gardens, Kolkata where the inauguration cultural programme was also held a day before where the Trophy was disclosed. KKR won this match ..all thanks to Andrew Russell's 88 run and Kuldeep Yadav ,A left hand spinner and new comer ,as he took 2 important wickets. Manish Pandey also did well along with Chawla.

The second match was between arch rival franchise MI and CSK which a very big fan base .This match was in Wankhede, the homeground of Mumbai Indians which is also famous as the Mecca of Indian cricket. The match was a fabulous encounter between the two teams . MI won the toss and decided to bowl first and restricted CSK to 148 runs...all thanks to the Bumrah taking a hatrick and Mitch ,a three wicket haul. CSK defended this target which led to the match being drawn. But there were many positive outcomes for both the teams .
For MI- They found a new all rounder in the form of Hardik Pandya .And a new young bowler in the form of Jasprit Bumrah ( who knew that time ..that this young boy will dominate the World cricket in coming days and be a fear among batsman allover the world)
For CSK-Suresh Raina was back in form after a long time as he was recovering from an injury. And Deepak chahar took important wickets for the team .

The third match was between Royal challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils which was won by RCB all thanks to Virat and ABD who both scored brilliant centuries. Although the DD bowlers tried to restrict Virat and co. But they couldn't . The team scored 240runs in 20 overs .

The fourth match of the series was between Sunriser Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bowl. They restricted the Royals to 156 with Bhuvi taking a four wicket haul and he dismissed Smith for a duck. This match was won by Hyderabad.

Virat's pov-
The group stage matches are over. The team which are in the qualifiers are :
1. Chennai super kings
2. Mumbai Indians
3. Kolkata Knight riders
4. Royal challengers Bangalore
And the semifinals are decided to be between
1. CSK V/S RCB
2. MI V/S KKR.

In the meantime, Rohit has finally proposed Ritika and they are giving a official party after the end of IPL.

At present, I'm busy in adoring Ziva who is sleeping on my lap .And yes ,I'm in Mahi Bhai's room . Just then Mahi Bhai and Bhabhi come .Bhabhi took Ziva from my lap and made her sleep on the bed to feed her. I got busy in talking with Mahi Bhai as I was meeting him after a long time . And yes ,the day after tomorrow is the first qualifier. After sometime, my phone rang and AB was on the other side and he asked "where are you and when are you coming to the room?" I told him "I'll come soon. You should sleep because we have a morning practice session."
