Time Scale: 1 Day After Clash of Champions 2019 - Location: WWE Clash of Champions 2019

The night after Clash of Champions was full of buzz for a number of superstars in the back, and everyone was wondering what could happen next after everything that happened the previous night.

Destroyer was currently waiting backstage being checked on as a precaution for the night prior. Fortunately, he was more-or-less okay, apart from the occasional stinging pain that didn't last that long, though he was only doing a promo and/or a beat-down tonight to prepare for his upcoming title rematch at Hell In A Cell against Rollins.

That title rematch was pretty much decided before he had even arrived, but both parties were fine with it after Heyman discussed it with Destroyer. The plan was for there to be a dominant title reign for Destroyer with the Universal Championship, and Hell In A Cell was going to be the starting point, at least in terms of paper view title defenses.

Destroyer had heard rumors that the Superstar Shake-Up would possibly be returning in the build up to the paper view or in the coming month or two, but it didn't bother the "King of Destruction" much. 

As far as he was concerned, if he was going to another brand sometime soon, it would just add more spice to the title match...plus, there was the chance he would get a new look for the title too.

He eventually saw Seth arriving with Becky, and the affects of their battle the previous night at Clash of Champions was still rather obvious in Rollins's walk. He had a bit of a limp in his step, and his ribs were tapped up as well. 

The two saw the new Universal Champion and came over, partly because Seth needed to get checked up himself.

The two went over the plan for that night, since Hunter had let Destroyer into that nights plan in advance. There was one part that neither was too thrilled on, but apart from that, they were more-or-less fine with it. Eventually though, the conversation divulged into an entirely different direction...

"So...what's going on between you, Cassie and Jessie then?" Seth verbally poked, something that Becky even smirked knowingly at. Their Australian friend though seemed completely oblivious to the layers in the question asked, as his facial features that weren't hidden behind his sunglasses told.

"What do you mean?" he asked, genuinely confused without a hint of embarrassment. If he was embarrassed, it was incredibly hard to tell. Becky was the first to respond. "Oh, come on man. It's kind of obvious that they have a thing for ya. It's like you three are already a married couple as it is!" 

Destroyer merely rolled his eyes once he got what was being inferred by the duo. "Uh-huh. Sure." was all he said in response, not convinced himself. Mainly because he didn't believe it. Seth just smirked a bit. "Come on, dude, it's kind of obvious."

Destroyer just rolled his eyes again and grabbed his title as he went to find the women of said topic. "I'll believe it when I see it, Seth. Anyway, see ya in the ring later..." The two fist bumped, as did Destroyer and Becky, before Destroyer walked off.

He eventually did run into them, as they were talking with some of their girl friends in catering. Not wanting to disturb them, Destroyer walked over to a nearby table and sat down by it as he checked his phone for any messages from his family.

Given how chaotic the night prior was, and even how busy he was today whilst getting checked up on, he hadn't really had a chance to call or message his family to see how they were or their reaction to what happened at Clash of Champions...if they watched it of course...

Eventually though, his attention was taken away from his phone when Billie literally pinched it off of him with a teasing smirk on her face, and Peyton tried to help her but putting Destroyer in an attempted sleeper submission hold...though not very tightly, which the King of Destroyer assumed was the idea anyway.

"Very funny you two." he said, trying to hide his slowly growing smirk. Both just stuck their tongues out at that like little kids before Peyton ruffled his hair, messing it up a little. "Oh calm down Micky! It's just fun!" Billie said. 

Needless to say, there was a few smirks in the area by other wrestlers in catering at the scene and at the teasing, though Destroyer ignored them whilst The IIconic's didn't even notice it.

Billie had a look at his phone and saw he was checking his messages. "Checking to see if ya sisters or ya mums called?" she asked, genuinely curious, to which Destroyer simply nodded. "Yeah. I haven't checked in on them for a while...Plus, well, after last night..."

He didn't need to say anything else after that, as both Peyton and Billie nodded to that in understanding, before Billie handed Destroyer back his phone. 

As time went on, Destroyer continued to try out his regular preparations to get his body and bones working, as well as for other reasons that were either reasonable, understandable, and/or a little nuts. His straining bones were causing him a bit of pain and irritation, but otherwise he seemed to work around them, and didn't take pain killers to help.

As the show went by, Seth eventually came towards and into the ring, unable to walk properly without a glaringly obvious limp or his arm being around his waist whilst he was carrying a chair in his other hand.

The crowd was more of a mixed reaction for "The Beast Slayer", there was still a number of people who still cheered him, but it felt like the number of boos far exceeded the cheers. 

He managed to get into the ring, and prepared to speak as he grabbed a microphone before speaking, speaking the usual scripted promo that he was forced to say most weeks, only difference was in this case was that he was saying how he almost got himself killed fighting for a championship that he fought so hard to try and make worthwhile, and how the Universal Championship was his by right...added a surprising heel-like touch to it in a way...

However, Rollins's promo was soon cut short by a music that got a loud reception, both in cheers and boos at the exact same time, and belonged to the man that had ended the Reign of Rollins...

As soon as the music begins to play: "The King of Destruction" soon began to make his way towards the ring, still selling the soreness from the night prior, but otherwise looking more-or-less better off than Rollins did.

[Note: This is what he comes out in, because...well, why not?]

Soon Destroyer entered the ring, taking the title off from around his waist as he entered the ring, before throwing the title onto the mat without a care in the world, dodging a chair shot attempt from Rollins as the former "Architect" of WWE attempted to swing and hit the steel chair onto the "King of Destruction"...before Destroyer spin his body around and delivered a "Destruction Kick" straight to the forehead of Rollins, knocking him out!

He then simply looked to the chair briefly, before lifting Rollins up, setting him up for a Package Piledriver-like stance...and then he hit his version of the Package Piledriver, the "One Way To Hell", to Rollins onto the steel chair!

Destroyer slowly stood up, looking down at the unconscious form of Seth Rollins, before looking down at the title and slowly lifting it up in his hand, glancing at it for the longest time without a single word.

Eventually, he grabs the microphone that Rollins dropped onto the ground, raising the title above his head briefly before simply saying into the mic darkly "Enjoy every moment you have, Rollins...because at Hell In A Cell...your career...is MINE to end!"

He threw the mic out of the ring, before walking out of the arena and headed to the back as his music played, only stopping once to glance over his shoulder at Rollins unconscious body.

What nobody in the WWE Universe knew at the time was that Clash of Champions little battle was just the warm up...at Hell In A Cell, the real blood bath would begin!

Author's Side-Note: I hope you all liked this chapter. Next chapter will involve some match highlights, though it will be a Live Event thing, which I do hope you'll like when it occurs. Also, either during the next chapter or after if, I will start sewing the seeds for a potential romance in the story. So yeah, hopefully it will be well received.

Also, sorry if the promo Destroyer did was s***, but promo's aren't exactly my strong point in wrestling things. Anyway, apart from that, I hope you all have a really good day, and I'll see you all in the next chapter!
