An Enemy In McMahon - Hell In A Cell War!

Author's Side-Note: There will a time longer time gap between the aftermath of the last chapter and the Hell In A Cell paper-view in this chapter, but hopefully the chapter will make up for that. Also...Destroyer is finally going to encounter Vince McMahon. I wonder how that will go...? *smirks*

Warning: There will be a lot more swearing in this chapter, and will involve a lot of violence and mentions of blood in this one more than a few times, among other things. (I'm not sure if this qualifies as a Mature thing for the story, and if anyone knows if I need to change the story to Mature afterwards, please let me know immediately)

Time Scale: 8 Days After Clash of Champions 2019 - Location: WWE Monday Night Raw - Backstage.

It was chaos backstage as soon as "The King of Destruction" managed to get backstage. On one hand, a lot of the locker room were cheering Destroyer, much to his own surprise, after shooting his shoot promo on WWE, Brock Lesnar, and Vince McMahon himself, especially a number of those who were never given a chance to shine on the main roster, or shine much in the case of some; like EC3 and Cesaro.

However...there was a number of people who either didn't like what he said or the actions he took in that promo, OR who didn't agree with him and thought he was being egotistical, which was Destroyer wasn't.

He managed to avoid running into anybody working backstage, not because he was worried about getting into trouble, but because he wanted to see how long it took before he would be found.

The fun was in the wait in this case.

He managed to make his way to the locker rooms though, just as Rollins had arrived with an ice pack on his head and Becky at his side. He saw Destroyer walking over to them and slowly put a hand out in front of him.

"Look, Destroyer..." he began, but Destroyer said simply "I don't blame you, Colby. But I want to know who told you to say that."

He soon got his answer...but not from Seth.

"WHERE IS THAT SON OF A BITCH!?!" the three of them heard down the corridor, and Destroyer soon smirked darkly very briefly as he put the pieces together. He adopted a very serious look on his face as they saw the owner of the voice begin to approach...Vince McMahon...

Destroyer simply crossed his arms across his chest, glasses on, looked at Vince completely unimpressed and un-bothered by his presence.

What happened next could be heard on the other end of the building, and even by any fans in the arena that could hear what Vince had to say.

"Listen here you over-hyped piece of shit!! What the hell do you think you're playing at!?! You made the company and the show look bad because of your little shoot promo stunt! And if you think that I will put up with your shit then you've got another thing coming! I'll make sure that, as soon as you've lost that belt, YOU'RE FIRED!!!"

Seth and Becky, as well as anyone who heard, were completely surprised by what was saying...everyone, that is, except for the one being shouted at, who quite literally yawned out of boredom...and also gave Vince the one-gun salute as this happened!

It was what he had to say next, what occurred afterwards, and also what else was said afterwards that REALLY got Vince's blood boiling, and his soul shaking:

"Oh I'm sorry, are you done? Because I swear that you're only here right now to bore me to death with your half-baked threats and childish 'Oh, I need to remain relevant in the company I'm killing!' manner!"

He got right in Vince's face and then lowered his glasses and glared at him, his eyes seemingly shaking the soul of the old man, and, rather weirdly and conveniently, the lights in the locker room started to not work properly.

"Listen old man, and listen well...I don't give a crap who you are, or that you're somehow still in charge of this company: YOU...don't own me, or my contract...Hunter does! And, if you bothered to get your specs out and read the small print: Hunter said I could do and say what I want, when I want, and that the only way I go is if HE chooses!

"And as for you bullshit excuse about me 'making the company and/or show look bad': did you not fucking hear the reactions that were given out there in that segment!? Or are you really as death as you are backwards in understanding the audience!? If ANYTHING, I just helped get your ratings and get more interest in your next fucking paper-view!"

He then showed the title around his waist and said as he shoved it harshly into his face: "YOU are the one that is killing this goddamn business! The fans are feed up with your booking, they don't like your idea of 'good shit', and I can damn well promise that you that there others in the back are fed up of your OUT OF DATE SHIT!!!"

If it was possible for the earth to shake when Destroyer shouted that out, then "The King of Destruction" no doubt would have been able to do that given the chance. What was more scarier was that Destroyer looked now more like someone who was about to snap and kill people if provoked longer...and his next words, spoken in the same dark and eerie voice that he had spoken when addressing Rollins in the ring early, only made it worse for Vince.

"Get...Out...Of My Sight...NOW!!!"

Vince, despite his scared shit-less demeanour, responded by attempting to hit an unflinching Destroyer who was seeing this with no concern at all...only to be stopped by Rollins who grabbed his arm and pushed him out of the way.

Even Michael was surprised by what Rollins did, but maintain his cold glare on Vince, before the latter person ran away both mad yet scared as well.

Michael then looked over to Rollins, and before he could say a word: Rollins responded with "He had it coming. And what you said was true. There is few that will argue with that."

Becky nodded in agreement. "You got that right! It's about time somebody slapped Vince back to reality!"

"The King of Destruction" remained silent for a bit...before soon lifting his fist up for a fist bump at Rollins and Becky, which both responded to with a fist bump of their own in Shield-like fashion, unknowingly to Destroyer.

What none of the three knew that time was that a bond had been formed that night by the three, and Destroyer had started a movement backstage that would, over time, change the face of WWE...

Time Scale: 21 Days After Clash of Champions 2019 - Location: WWE Hell In A Cell 2019.

The passing few days and weeks were more-or-less an...interesting time in the locker room backstage on Raw to say the least.

Word had quickly spread after the heated confrontation between Vince and Destroyer...which honestly wasn't much of a surprise given that they were shouting so loud that practically anybody could have heard them, and very nearly did...and even leaked footage had somehow managed to make it to YouTube and social media.

To the surprise of Vince and some others backstage, as well as "The King of Destruction" himself: a lot of the workers backstage, including Hunter, Stephanie and Paul Heyman, though the latter was more obvious, were all taking Michael's side.

And it wasn't just the powers-that-be, the bookers, and numerous members of the crew either: numerous members of not only the Raw roster, but also from Smackdown, 205 Live, and both NXT brands, were all on Michael's side, and also vocalised their support.

Destroyer even smirked a bit when he found out that the topic in particular, and the segment with Rollins before hand had also caused quite interesting topics of discussion with Wrestling With Wregrets, Whatculture, and Cultaholic.

The feud between Rollins and Destroyer, on screen at least, got more heated and destructive as time went on, even involving a backstage brawl in the parking lot and locker rooms respectively.

Even despite what had happened less than a fortnight prior: the two were still able to tell a fantastic story in the coming weeks through violence!

And, despite how the Hell In A Cell paperview went in general, their match was something that fans were eagerly awaiting for....

Destroyer's Personal Observation:

Oh my f***ing god...WHAT THE F*** IS WRONG WITH THIS PAPER-VIEW!?! How does anybody f*** up this paper-view not once, but twice in two separate years!?!

2018's version suffered because of the absolutely stupid and insulting ways possible in the main event Hell in a Cell Universal Championship match, for both fans and those in the match itself, because of Brock "Bitch Boy" Lesnar's involvement in the main event, and with the match being thrown out as a no contest as a result, from what I've learned when I was watching more recent versions of this match.

And now this bloody mess of a paper-view...and just 5 days before the second WWE Draft of the year as well, and days after a whole cluster f*** of things going on, which I will get to shortly, has been bad for a number of others reasons!

1. Only 2, maybe 3 of the matches for the event were advertised: and that was mine and Seth's Hell in a Cell match, Becky's and Sasha's Raw Women's Championship Hell in a Cell match, and the tag match between Roman and Daniel against Harper and Rowan...though that one I'm not entirely sure on.

2. The non-advertises matches suffered both from a lack of any build and/or from poor booking, which was no fault of the wrestlers involved.

3. The 24/7 Championship debacle...though then again, it IS the 24/7 Championship, so it's not as if I should expect much anyway.

4. The only good matches, from what I've seen so far, where the 2 advertised matches that I mentioned.

Don't get me wrong: Charlotte vs. Bayley wasn't bad, but I think both Ashley (Charlotte) and Pamela (Bayley) both agreed that the end result was the wrong one, and the fans already knew what was coming from the get-go which took them out of the match, and the Women's Tag Team Championship match was fine but badly booked...with the exception of "The Kabuki Warrior's" heel turn perhaps.

And those are just the problems they were having with this god damn train wreck of a paper-view! It was worse 2 days ago when Smackdown made its return to Friday Nights. Want to guess why...?

Brock fucking Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship in seconds...

That wasn't even the most annoying part. After that rather insulting squash match, he got interrupted by Rey Mysterio, which wasn't a problem, who brought out someone called Cain Velasquez.

Before anyone asks: no, I had no idea who he was, or what his connection to Lesnar was. I had to listen to Michael Cole explain it, and even then I had to look up who he was and what he did on my laptop afterwards and ask Shayna who he was.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but I never encountered him before or watched much MMA or UFC stuff outside of Shayna's and Ronda's matches to both form an opinion on him or know much about him at all.

Though that one segment and the subsequent squash match caused me to already guess as to what reason Lesnar won the WWE Championship, and what their encounter with one-another means...a match at whatever that Saudi show is in October...

I suppose we'll get to that whole...ordeal...when we get there. But right now...well, right now: I plan on making these fans leave with something good this evening...even if it means possibly destroying myself to do so!

End of pov.

The fans were pretty angry right now with this paper-view, both those in attendance and those that were watching, or in this case still watching it, and honestly if there was anyway to at least send the fans back happy: this was the moment and match to do so.

To the surprise of many backstage: a lot of the superstars in the back at the paper-view, both those who had competed in a match that evening and even some who hadn't, yet had come anyway to watch, were all gathering in catering to watch the main event.

Among them was The IIconics, who were both watching cautiously and with concern for what was about to happen, and for what could possibly take place in this match alone.

It wasn't just them that was watching with concern though, either. Michael's family were watching the paper-view at home, and they were concerned for what was about to happen as well, and both Triple H and Paul Heyman were both watching alongside numerous others backstage with concern as well.

The only one who wasn't worried was Destroyer himself. Concerned that things might go bad or wrong at any given moment, maybe...but worried? No. Not in a million years!

He soon picked up his title and sorted out the last of his ring gear, before making his way towards the ring after hearing a knock on the door. When he got to the guerrilla, he saw that Seth, Hunter and Paul were all there waiting.

"Nervous?" Seth asked, psyching himself up as best as he could. Destroyer smirked a bit. "Are you?" was his reply, to which Rollins smirked a bit and said. "Nah. Wouldn't want you to think I'm weak." Rollins joked about.

Hunter and Paul smirked a bit respectively at their toughness and their blatant lies, but Hunter patted them both on their respective shoulders, before saying to them as he and Paul headed off. "Good luck out there you two."

Destroyer and Rollins took one last deep breath each, before Destroyer fist-bumped Rollins moments before Rollins headed out to the ring...

It's show time!

https://youtu.be/XwzTP-T0hZ4

Rollins made his entrance first, looking up at the structure itself briefly as he took everything in at first before heading into the ring. His face was completely serious, completely focused on what was to come. He didn't even wait for Destroyer to get in or for the Cell to lower before grabbing a weapon: as he grabbed a couple of steel chairs from under the ring to defend himself.

https://youtu.be/hqzKjPn7YSY

Moments after Rollins had gotten into the ring: the lights went down and the dark blood red mist began to appear along the pathway of the ring and around the ring as the gongs began to chime...and then, "The King of Destruction" himself began to enter the arena.

He stopped at the end of the ramp, looking at Rollins in the ring without so much as any remorse for what was about to happen...in kayfabe naturally. He then began to make his way into the ring, removing the title from his waist as he entered, lifting the title above his head briefly, his glare never once leaving Rollins.

After the announcements were made, during which time neither Rollins nor Destroyer made an attempt to bash the others brains out yet...even though Rollins had the means to right now in both of his hands...he got out of the ring moments before the Hell in a Cell structure began to lower down around both combatants.

As soon as the bell finally rang: Rollins, shockingly, threw one of the chairs in one of his hands onto the mat in front of Destroyer's feet, much to the surprise and confusion of fans and even Destroyer, who briefly glanced down at the chair for mere seconds before darting his eyes back at Rollins, who simply mouthed 'Pick it up!'

Destroyer let himself smirk a bit, sensing Rollins bluff a bit...but still he knelled down a bit to grab the chair...and just as Destroyer predicted: Rollins immediately swung the remaining chair in his hand at Destroyer's head violently, to which Destroyer quickly and easily rolled across the mat before it could connect; before immediately charging at Rollins and spearing him to the ground, causing Rollins to drop the chair in the process, then he began unleashing a barrage of stiff punches and elbow shots onto Rollins as they hit the ground!

Rollins was able to somehow roll his opponent off before jumping up to his feet and attempting to deliver a Superkick to Destroyer, who easily caught blocked it by grabbing "The Beastslayer's" foot with his hands, before throwing Rollins over his shoulders out of the ring to the floor with a Suplex of sorts!

He wasted very little time after that, rolling out of the ring armed with one of the chairs in hand as Rollins grimaced in slight pain, after having collided with both the Cell walls and the floor, before quickly walking over and smashing Rollins's back with harshly with the chair, causing Rollins's chest and face to scrape with the Cell walls in the process...which Destroyer followed by leaning Rollins harshly against the Cell walls with his forearm for a few seconds before smacking the chair into the back of Rollins's head and further into the Cell wall!

Not content with just that though: he soon went under the ring and grabbed a couple of Kendo Sticks out...but before he could even attempt to swing them: an already dazed Rollins drove a steel chair into the waist of "The King of Destruction", winding him briefly, before then smacking Destroyer's head into the turnbuckle poll next to them head first with the steel chair!

Unbeknownst to Rollins however: that chair shot to the turnbuckle poll legitimately caused "The King of Destruction" to suffer a mild concussion, and caused havoc to his sight as well, making his vision rather blurred!

He slumped a bit onto a knee, placing a hand on the side of his head as best as he could, whilst Rollins went to the other apron and began to pull out both a steel bin, and not one but two tables from under the ring.

Destroyer managed to fight off his blurry vision long enough to make his way over to Rollins, Kendo Stick in hand, and then he began to lay into Rollins as he smashed the Kendo Stick repeatedly into the spin and lower back of Rollins with precision!

Once he got Rollins down onto a knee by the side of the Cell: he managed to walk over to where the other Kendo Stick was, a noticeable wobble in his step, before grabbing it despite his vision getting fuzzy again, and brought them back over to where Rollins was as he began to get up.

He waked Rollins over the back again with one of the Kendo Sticks, before doing the same to his chest with the other; then he pinned Rollins against the Cell wall and took a page out of "The New Days" and "The Usos" book from 2017: trapping Rollins in the cell with the Kendo Sticks into the holes of the cell wall!

Then...the more interesting weapons began to appear...

Whilst Rollins was trapped up against the Cell by the Kendo Sticks: Destroyer managed to grab a few weapons from under the ring...all of which was covered in barbed wire! Chairs, bats, a wooden plank that looked almost eerily similar to "The Monster" Abyss's weapon of choice, Janice...although in this case it was more barbed wire than nails...and, worst of all...both a table of barbed wire...and a small bag containing something in it.

What was it, you are probably wondering? Well...you'll just have to wait and see now, won't you!

Destroyer threw the bat and bag into the ring, and pushed the table into the ring from under the bottom rope, somehow, before then picking up the barbed wire chair and looking to Rollins with the look of a sadist!

Rollins tried to fight out of the Kendo Sticks's hold on him, but Destroyer made ever moment that Rollins was trapped in there worth it: smashing the head of the chair into the torso of Rollins, winding him, before smashing the barbed wire wrapped part of the chair twice into Rollins - both times into his chest area - and then he began to scrape the barbed wire part of the chair across Rollins's face, causing him to bleed in seconds as "The Kingslayer" felt the agonizingly slow scrapping of barbed wire across his face!

Fans no doubt found it hard to imagine that this was only the start of the match, so they would be even more shocked and surprised by what was to come as the match progressed!

As the match progressed: Rollins managed to escape from his tricky little predicament that Destroyer had forced him into, and then had began to use the weapons that both combatants had brought out against Destroyer, unknowingly further causing Destroyer's sight to become more blurred more often, and even managing to succeed in busting open the shoulder of Destroyer.

And as each second and minute continued to pass, the match continued to get more violent, with numerous spots that looked as gnarly as the next, or just outright looked gruesome!

Destroyer getting driven into the turnbuckle poll by Rollins whilst a chair was attached over his throat, causing Destroyer to cough up blood; Rollins getting Speared through the Cell wall, causing the fight to spill outside of the Cell in the process as one of the walls completely collapsed from the sheer impact of the Spear!

Rollins hitting Destroyer with the "Buckle Bomb" through into one of the Cells outer walls, then hitting a Pedigree onto the exposed floor afterwards; Destroyer sending Rollins crashing through 2 stacked tables inside the Cell with Running Powerbomb; and hell, both participents getting sent back first into the barbed wire covered table in the ring with a Superplex by Destroyer at one point...whilst he no longer had his protective vest on either, and was exposing his entire upper body!

The shocking part was that neither man had gone for a pin once during the entirety of the match, and by this point both men where bleeding like mad in multiple places and could barely even stand properly at times from exhaustion alone!

Both were bleeding greatly from the foreheads, with Destroyer having bladed at one time after being Curb Stomped into the steel bin on the outside of the ring minutes before "The Architect" had gotten Speared through the Hell in a Cell wall; both of their backs and chests with lit up with cuts, blood and fresh scars; and Destroyers was even bleeding from his jaw after Rollins had locked in a Cross-Face on Destroyer with assistance from the barbed wire bat earlier!

Adrenaline and the will to win alone was all that was keeping these two warriors in the match, and the crowd was loving this every second among other things, as well as being shocked by the levels of violence done and the blood that had been shed!

And yet, the worst was yet to come...

As the match neared the 20 minute mark: Destroyer and Rollins were born torn up and bloodied, and Destroyer was the first one up to his feet, slapping himself across the face with a crazed, blood-lust look on his face, before wiping a hand across his bloodied crimson mask of a face and rubbing it along his scarred covered chest...and then even doing something sick when he began to lick the blood off of his hands the best he could.

The words 'You sick fuck!' were chanted a lot by the fans, as they had been chanted quite a lot throughout the match, but Destroyer just basked it in before looking to his side and seeing the bag he had gotten out earlier yet never used.

Truth be told he had forgotten about the bag, which given that his head was a dazed mess at the best of times right now was understandable, but he smirked as he grabbed the back and began to open it up next to Rollins...and then, he poured the contents out onto the floor next to Rollins...

https://youtu.be/etd-b7EWZ8A

[Note: Basically go to 0:22 and you'll see what's in the bag, and just imagine that it's Destroyer who is pouring them down]

Once Destroyer had poured them onto the floor: he dragged Rollins by the hair onto his feet and shouted in his face: "TIME TO FALL ASSHOLE!!!" He then spat blood into Rollins's already bloodied face, though more as an insult than anything, before attempting to go for, what looked like, the banned Piledriver move...only for Rollins to get out of it quickly out of desperation with a low blow to Destroyer!

Staggering to his feet: Rollins then delivered a Superkick to the side of Destroyers head, before driving "The King of Destruction" face first into the thumbnail tacks with "The Pedigree"!

Not just content with hitting "The Pedigree": Rollins, now with a crazed look of his own, ran across the ring and delivered not 1, not 2, but 3 "Curb Stomps" onto Destroyer into, further smashing "The King of Destruction's" face into the tacks, before going for the first pin of the entire match!

1...2...Thre...!

At the last possible moment, Destroyer kicked out and sat up almost Undertaker-style with the look of a pissed off predator, much to the shock of Rollins and the crowd, before beginning to lay into Rollins with fists, and despite Rollins's best attempts at trying to stop him, Destroyer just couldn't be stopped!

When he did get off of Rollins, he was dazed and out of it, and Destroyer then lifted Rollins up quickly by the hair before driving him down into the tacks as well with the "One Way To Hell"!

1...2...Thr...!

Rollins, on instinct alone, kicked out, and Destroyer screamed out in frustration as he began to lose his cool! But by the way that Rollins had kicked out: this match was as good as over. Even now, Rollins was pretty much trying to crawl to the ropes just to get away: he couldn't get up, and he was completely spent after the barrage of punches and the "One Way To Hell" into the tacks...and everyone knew it too.

Destroyer though, still very pissed, grabbed all of the chairs that were out and weren't covered in barbed wire and set them up, before grabbing the barbed wire table and placing it onto the seats of the chairs.

He grabbed Rollins by the hair and pulled him up onto the top rope as he climbed the ropes too...everyone had an idea of what was going to happen now...

"STAY DOWN!!!" Destroyer practically shouted, before literally jumping off of the top turnbuckle and drove both himself and Rollins through the barbed wire table and chairs, destroying them all, with one final "One Way To Hell"!

He fell onto Rollins for the pin...

1...2...3!!!

"You're winner of this match, and STILL the WWE Universal Champion..."The King of Destruction", DESTROYER!!!"

The crowd roared at how good the matches was, as did most of the wrestlers in the back at what they had bare witnessed to. Billie and Peyton had both been stunned shocked throughout the entire match, but as soon as it was over they were out of the catering area like a rocket to go and check on Destroyer.

As for both combatants in the ring: Destroyer rolled slowly onto his back, brushing his hands across his face as he took a few moments to compose himself. The trainers and refs came in to check on both of them, but Destroyer just shrugged them off like it was nothing before slowly making it to his feet with a little help from the ropes.

He took the title from the referee that was holding the Universal Championship and raised it above his head as best as he could, his vision blurry like hell right now and his head was pounding like mad, and he wasn't sure if that was because of the concussion he had or not.

He began to slowly stumble his way out of the ring, only glancing at Rollins briefly over his shoulders before continuing to make his way out of the ring....

This battle with Rollins was over...but the war against those that opposed him? That was far from over! Who would be next to challenge "The King of Destruction's" throne....?

Author's Side-Note: This chapter took way longer than I had imagined, and a lot harder than I thought it was going to be too with the kind of match involved, but I don't regret making this chapter for anything.

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, and let me know what you thought about the match or what you think will happen now that Destroyer and Vince can't stand each other! Also, I do know that the last 2 chapters haven't had The IIconics in it as much as other previous chapters, but they will be in the next one more I promise.

Anyway, I hope you all have an amazing day, and I shall see you all in the next chapter!
