Icestorm woke up to find that her kits were still sleeping. "They must be tired after last night." She whispered. She gazed at them warmly. "Sweet kits." She whispered. She glanced over to where Skyfeather and her kits were. Skyfeather was snoring and her kits were twitching in their sleep. Icestorm heard paw steps outside. "Who's that?" She whispered as she got out of her nest to see who it was. She peeked outside and saw that it was Coypaw and Rainpaw sneaking out of camp. "Where are you two going?" She asked. "We wanted to see where the rogues went!" Said Rainpaw excitedly. "Be quiet!" "She wasn't supposed to know!" Hissed Coypaw. "You two are not going out there without your mentors." "If you behave, you might be assigned on the patrol to search for them" said Icestorm. "I wouldn't do anything to mess up your chances of being a Warrior, if I were you." "You only have one more moon left till you become a Warrior." Said Icestorm. "Fine" mumbled Coypaw as he padded back to his nest. Rainpaw followed. A few minutes later Crystalstar walked out of her den and onto the highrock. "Let all those cats old enough to catch their own prey, join here beneath the highrock for a clan meeting." Yowled Crystalstar. Skyfeather padded out of the nursery and over to the highrock. Icestorm followed. "I do not know why we were attacked, but I am sending out patrols to find out." Said Crystalstar. "Lionheart, Adderfang, Nettleclaw, and Torncloud will be one patrol." "Lightningstrike, Stormeye, Whitefur, and Frostflight will be another." "And Dawnpelt, Falconfrost, Shadowmoon, and Icewing will be the last patrol." Said Crystalstar. "Go now and be safe" she said. "Now for the hunting patrols." "Darkclaw take Coypaw and Buzzardtail take Rainpaw." "Hunt well." Said Crystalstar as she jumped down from the highrock. "All of the remaining Warriors, stay on guard until the patrols come back." Said Crystalstar. Icestorm padded back to the nursery with Skyfeather. "Let's see what our kits are up to." Said Skyfeather. Icestorm nodded. When they walked inside the nursery, the nests were thrown everywhere and the kits were wrestling with each other. "Kits!" Exclaimed Icestorm. All of the kits stopped playing. "Since you messed up the nests, you are going to clean them up" said Skyfeather angrily. The kits nodded and started to clean up. Icestorm and Skyfeather sat down and watched their kits as they waited for the patrols to return.
