I look at the face that was the same face that murdered my son. I wanted to scream, but I kept my cool.

"Well, it seems like I have a choice to make," said Treestar."Icepool, Mapleleaf, and Blazefur, please leave me, Shellfur and Roseflower to discuss.

I dip my head, and started to leave, when I realize the whole reason I came.

"Wait! Treestar! I meant to ask you if Hazelkit could have her apprentice ceremony today," I stated.

"Of Course," he replied. I dipped my head again and padded out to the nursery, when I heard a scream fill the air. I knew exactly who it came from. Nightclaw burst from the warrior's den and followed in beside me. His expression worried me.

"Is it Bluestream?" he said. I nodded. We hurried to see Briardawn scrambling towards the nursery with so many different herbs.

We pad into the nursery with Bluestream all alone. "The Pain!!!!!!" she screeched. "Hush Bluestream, its going to be ok!" I say in a soothing voice while Nightclaw pads by his mate.

"Ok, first one is coming, push!" said Briardawn. Bluestream pushes as instructed. Then, one little sack of light brown fur plops out. Briardawn hands me the sack and I start to lick. Bluestream pushes again and a smoke pelt slides out. The medicine cat apprentice hands the fur to Nightclaw who I tell to lick the fur.

"Ok, Bluestream there is one more." says Briardawn. Bluestream pushes and a lightly pink tented furball slips out and is handed to Bluestream to lick.

"Well Done Bluestream! Three healthy kits," said Briardawn as she leaves the den. "Remember to rest!" she calls to her. I look at my best friend kits and my kin.

"I'm so proud of you, Bluestream!" Nightclaw and I say in unison. She giggled as Nightclaw nudged her with him muzzle.

"They're so beautiful,"he said. I gaze upon the happy couple and realize that Blazefur was never like that to me. How could I be so stupid?! I look around the nursery to see if my kit was here and there she was. Sleeping on her own. I pad to her and nudge her and see wakes up.

"Icepool! So, when is my apprentice ceremony? "says Hazelkit. "Tonight, and you have new roommates until then," I mew.

"Let all cat old enough to swim gather below the High Ledge for a Clan meeting." I hear Treestar yell from the High Ledge.

"Come on, its your time," I say to her as we walk out of the nursery. I sat down by Bluestream, Nightclaw, and their kits (they opened their eyes seconds after they were born).

"I have two orders of business, one, RiverClan has a kit that is ready to become an apprentice. Hazelkit, please step forward." said Treestar. I nudge her forward. She scrambles forward.

"Hazelkit, you have reached the age of six moons and is ready to be apprenticed. Until you receive your warrior name, you will be called Hazelpaw. You mentor will be Smallfoot." he finished. She padded to Smallfoot and touched noses with him. I felt a wave of pride wash over me. Now that will give her something to distract her from Snowkit's death. She comes back to me and I rest my muzzle on her head while she puts her muzzle into my fur.

"I'm so proud of you," I say to her. She replies "I know." Treestar continues,

"Ok, last thing to cover, we all know about Snowkit's tragic death. We also know that one of us killed him. Well, Roseflower and Briardawn found out who it was. Mapleleaf. Now, this is against the code and downright cruel. So,myself, Shellfur and Roseflower have decided that Mapleleaf be banished from RiverClan. Warriors, if you see Mapleleaf in our territory, kill her like she is a rogue. MAPLELEAF, YOU ARE HEREBY BANISHED FROM RIVERCLAN!!"

Mapleleaf flinched and Blazefur called out, "No!! I will not let this happen! If she goes, I go!!!" Treestar stares in surprise,"Son, get out of the way!" "No!" "Then leave!!" shouts Leaffall!! "Ya!!" shouts her brother in unison. "Then, Blazefur is also banished!! GET OUT IF RIVERCLAN TERRITORY!!!" yells Treestar.
