~ 7 ~
Seollim yawned, running a hand through her messy hair as she waited for the elevator.
Tomorrow they had a day off from school, so she'd decided to work overtime today, being that she could just do her homework at some time tomorrow.
She was exhausted, but it had totally been worth it.
She patted her pocket, feeling the wad of cash there, and that brought a smile to her face.
Maybe she could buy something special for her parents. Or maybe she'd just put it into her piggybank, into her college savings. Which, at the moment, was quite small.
She would have had more, but she kept taking money out to buy food. That way her parents could have a little extra money for themselves.
She'd go grocery shopping tomorrow morning, she decided. And then she'd make them all something special for dinner.
Seollim couldn't keep the smile off of her face as she mentally prepared a list, thinking of what she could treat them to.
She stepped into the elevator.
"Wait!" Sunghoon called, running into the building. "Hold it!"
Her smile brightened, seeing him, but she also felt her cheeks flush pink. She hadn't seen him since her skating lesson. And that was something she thought about often.
The door closed and she studied his face. He looked exhausted too, but happy. Really happy, and satisfied.
"Where are you coming from this late?" She asked. "I'm coming from work. Do you work as well?"
Sunghoon nodded absentmindedly, though his gaze was far away, and he didn't seem to be really paying attention to her. "Yeah, I'm also coming from work," he murmured.
"Where do you work?" Seollim asked, waving a hand in front of his face to get his attention. "You visit me at work all the time. I should visit you one day."
That got his attention, and he glanced over at her, his beautiful shining eyes swimming with apology.
"I'm afraid you can't do that," he said softly, his voice taking on a hint of sadness. "And I can't tell you where I work, at least not yet. I'm sorry."
She wrung her hands together awkwardly. "No, don't be sorry," she said slowly. "I'm sorry if I overstepped."
"You didn't," he assured her, looking away.
Seollim bit her lip, frowning at the floor. As much as she didn't want to be curious, she was. She wondered why he couldn't tell her where he worked, why she couldn't visit him. She wondered what he could possibly be doing. She wondered if-
"Hey," he said suddenly, snapping her out of her thoughts. The doors opened to their floor and he waited for her to step out before following her. "You want to learn a skating routine together this weekend?"
She could see in his eyes that this was his way of apologizing, though he didn't need to. She could see that he was trying to cheer her up, and it worked.
"I'd like that," she told him, leaving him at his door and going to hers. With one last smile, she opened the door and walked inside, closing it behind her.
Seollim leaned against the door, placing a hand over heart, feeling how hard it was beating.
"Sunghoon," she said quietly, her voice scolding even though he wasn't there. "Look at what you're doing to my heart."
