The old, the classic, the popular. Vanilla Ice Cream!

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Out of 5)

What I like: I love the texture and flavour of it. The sweetness is also pretty great! It's really creamy and goes well with a lot of things. You can also add toppings of almost any sort! It also is a classic and really, not many people can bring themselves to hate it.

What I dislike: I have the sweetest sweet tooth of anyone I know (Really it's a miracle that I've never had a cavity) and I just like really sweet things. Sometimes I just want something that will put me on a sugar high for weeks. Vanilla is more mellow but I still love it!

Fun facts!:

- Vanilla ice cream was actually not  the first flavour of ice cream. In the 4th century B.C., the Roman emperor Nero had servants go to the mountains to collect snow that was used to make a frozen dessert flavoured with honey, nuts, and fruit toppings.

- The use of vanilla started in Mexico! In the 1500s, when Spanish Conquistadors were exploring present-day Mexico, they came across Mesoamerican (the native people of the time) people who used vanilla in their drinks and foods. The Spanish brought the vanilla bean back to Spain and vanilla eventually spread throughout Europe.

- Thomas Jefferson brought back the recipe for vanilla ice cream to the United States from France in the 1780s. The original colour was brown back then.
