Chapter IX

You screamed and hid your face behind your hands. You had trusted this man and now he was going to get both of you killed. Kylo, however, looked stoically ahead. "Just shut up." He said. You dared to take your hands away from your face and your jaw dropped to the floor.

A beautiful view of countless stars and planets in a black sky, hundreds of different galaxies and behind you possibly the largest aircraft you've ever seen.

"That's the ship we've just escaped from?!" You asked, but it was a rhetorical question. You'd by now realised that you'd been saved from the ocean by some of Kylo's friends, or enemies, who'd picked up his distress signal.

"Hold on tight, we're going to light speed." Kylo said and he pushed a button before you could even slightly process what he had said.

You flew across the spaceship against the backside while it climbed to incredible speed. The stars turned into stripes beside the windows and it felt like your stomach was being ripped out of your body. Shit, this was intense. Right before you could get used to the feeling a little, it stopped again. "We're safe. For now." Kylo said and turned his chair around to face you. "You feeling better?" It had been the first time since even before the rafting that he'd actually asked you a sincere question.

"Not really, but I'll be fine." You replied, hand on your stomach to keep yourself from vomiting. "You? Are you going to explain what all that fighting was about?"

Kylo shook his head. "No, that's none of your business. Make sure you're feeling better soon because we'll start your training once we board my ship."

The spark of hope that had ignited inside your head that maybe he'd care a little about you, had diminished again. "Wait, training? What kind of training?" You frowned, trying to remember if he'd ever said anything about this earlier. You couldn't recall. "I demand you tell me what is going on and what kind of training you are talking about."

Kylo's hand shot forward and your breathing stopped. "You will not demand anything. You will listen to me and follow my orders." You couldn't move anything, so you just looked into Kylo's eyes. Fine. You thought, focussing to transfer that thought to Kylo's mind. You felt his grip on your throat soften.

"Good girl." He whispered and smirked. You felt your cheeks redden. "Now, strap yourself safely into that chair, because I'll be looking for my ship and need not to be disturbed. You will go to sleep and only wake when I tell you to." He said while pointing to the chair you'd been sitting in before.

You obeyed his orders, a little scared of his strength that he'd seem to have gained since arriving in space. Still you found yourself wondering about the whole Luke incident. What had it meant? Had they known each other already? Settled an old score? Why had they left without Kylo killing him? Why had he wanted her to kill him? Was Kylo perhaps.... a psycho? Your mind was flooded with thoughts, but Kylo shot back a look at you and it shut your mind right up. It was still difficult to adjust to thinking decently with someone reading your mind all the time. It didn't take you long to fall asleep, although you wouldn't find rest in your dreams either. They were filled with laser-swords, spaceships and people being strangled, and that scared look in Luke's eyes when he saw you controlling Kylo returned more than once.

When you woke up, the view hadn't changed much. Still many stars, planets and a lot of emptiness. An occasional spaceship shot past. You laughed when you thought about how relaxed you were under these circumstances. Two weeks ago you'd been at home, only hoping to maybe visit the moon one day. Now you were in space with, let's be honest, an attractive but mysterious man, and there was something up with you, otherwise you wouldn't have made it to this place.

"Prepare for landing." Kylo said and switched some levers on the dashboard. "They're expecting us."

You wanted to ask who's they, but right before you opened your mouth, the largest creation you'd ever seen appeared in front of you. A massive building, maybe even bigger than planet earth itself. The building was entirely black, except for thousands of little windows lighting up in white, green and blue light. As your eyes got used to the darkness surrounding the huge spaceship ahead, you started to distinguish several shapes around it. The shapes of more spaceships, smaller ones, flying in and out an opening at the bottom of the spherical ship, but the small spaceships seemed to be as small as ants compared to the big thing. The airship blended with its surroundings perfectly. It made you feel a lot things at once: sadness, cold, joy, a hunger for power...

Woah, that was dark. You thought. Strange, I've never had such thoughts. Now I want to rule over this thing and maybe a planet. I'd actually... sacrifice so much for it. I'd.... kill for it. You sat in a trance for a while, feeling isolated from the world. Or the entire galaxy you were in now, at least. Kylo had noticed your thoughts, of course, and to be fair, he was secretly a little anxious. He found himself feeling even a little scared of you, scared for  you. He'd never met his match when it came to his power and control of the Force. I'd kill Kylo for it.
