"Dieeeego! Taaackle! Wheeere arre yoooouuu?" Shira asked loudly, looking for the two sabers. Shira was up and she noticed that Diego and Tackle had been gone way too long to be out hunting. Shira had asked yhe Hers if they had seen them but the Herd had no idea....or they were pretending they had no idea.

She had tracked down their scent and she was at the spot where the two boys were talking about getting her birthday present...but she doesn't know that.

She bent down and sniffed the ground, her stomach growled. She hadn't eaten anything since this morning. "I wouldn't mind getting food myself but I really want Diego and Tackle. Especially on my birthday" she added a little worried about her family as she kept looking.

"Growl!" She lifted her head up suddenly and her ears twitched at that sound. It was a cub growl. "Growl!" Her head turn to where that second growl came from and she spotted around the corner with some. The cub turned around and ran off but Shira knew for sure that he saw her.

"Hmm. Ok something's going on" she said suscpious and annoyed. She ran after him and when she got around the corner, there was this cave. Shira stared at confused "ok there's no way they woke up early to hunt" she told herself as she entered the cave.

"Tackle? Taaackle?" She called out, her voice echoing in the cave. She ventured deeper in the cave, it started getting dark but good thing she has night vision. "Tackle? Diego?" She asked her eyes scanned for any tracks. Her ears twitched at some trampling sound in the snow. She looked down and saw her paw on the snow but she also small saber cub tracks and more bigger tracks.

"That's gotta be them" she said as she follwed the snowy tracks deeper in the caravans. Her ears twitched for any sound and "Whoa!" She suddenly slipped and fell somewhere downhill.

Shira was now sliding down a snowy slope all of a sudden and she hadn't seen it coming. "WHOOOOA!" She yelled spooked and surprised as she slid down and she had her eyes shut the whole time, feeling the air rush through her fur. Shira finally got off the slide and landed back on the snowy ground.

"She's here!" Tackle's voice echoed and Shira's eyes popped open when she heard it. She let out growl as she got on her paws. "Tackle! Diego! If this is a prank, I'm gonna rip you both in half and..." she said angrily but then she paused when her eyes saw what was in the caravans.

Gems. The cave was completely covered in beautiful shimmering gems illumnating the cave so bright you don't even need a torch to find your way.

"Wow" Shira said amazed, her aqua green eyes looked around curious like she was a cub again. She didn't notice Diego and Tackle came out of their hiding spot behind a rock and were now behind her.

"Surprise!" They both said, their voice echoing in the cave and Shira turned around spotting them, she stared at them surprised. "Happy Birthday Shira!" They both said happy and beaming. Shira smiled huge and chuckled at the surprise. Tackle ran up to his mom and rubbed against her paw. Diego walked uo and nuzzled his mate's face, purring.

"Awww you both remember" she said happy, her eyes sparkling. "Obviously. Why did you think we were gone all morning?" Diego asked her jokingly, Shira laughed at what he said and her laughter made Diego happy to hear that laughter from her.

Tackle left her and ran off. He got behind a rock and carried something in his mouth and ran back to Shira. He set it down in front of her paw "Happy birthday mom" he told her and Shira's eyes widen and sparkled at what it was.

It was a vine bracelet with smaller gems. Diego smiled at the look on her face "It was actually Tackle's idea" he told her and they explained everything...

Flashback

"Dad I have an idea" Tackle told him in an inside voice. "Crash and Eddie found this cave full of crystals and a snowy slide. Me, Vibe and Ferry got lost in there and it was awesome!" the moment Diego said that Shira liked the snow and that she hated when Tackle pulled her earrings, it remined Tackle about the cave. "Here's the plan. We both know mom won't sit still for long so you'll meet me at the cave and I'll lead mom to the cave"...

Flashback ended

"So that's why you two were so late with the the hunt. I knew something was off" she told them smirking at them. Her stomach then let out a growl that echoed the cave "But I wished there were food" she complained annoyed but Diego had that covered "Don't worry we didn't forget that" he went to the rock they were hiding and pulled out their prey which was an ox.

She beamed excited but then she felt Tackle put the bracelet on her paw "Happy birthday mom" he told her hugging her front paw. Diego walked over and Shira pulled him into a hug, surprising him but he returned the hug "Thank you so much my softies" she told them sweetly before they went to eat their food and had fun in the cave.
