I was watching something on Tasty that involved seafood and an idea popped up

"Shira why are we going to beach?" "To get some lunch" Shira and Diego were walking to a beach that wasn't far from their den, they usually go there for some fun, walking or relaxing but it seemed that this time Shira had a different reason to go to the beach today.

Diego was confused because right now they were supposed to be hunting for food. They reached the sandy beach and stopped near a spot where at the edge there is water, Shira stared into the edge of the water her eyes looking for something while Diego stared at her weirdly "Shira we have to go hunt now before it gets dark. You know that nighttime has less prey around" the she saber ignored him and she started to pace her eyes still on the water.

"Shira are you listening to me?" Diego groaned in frustration his stomach growled in hunger as he sighed "I mean it if we don't go hunting, Shira will be food" he told himself and Shira stopped her ears perked at something and she smiled at what she found "Diego let this saber show you something new on the menu today"

Diego tilted his head confused, Shira crouched down her paw in the water all the way to her elbow and it scooped up something. She placed it on the smooth rocky surface "There lunch serve. Happy?" She asked him as Diego looked at it weirdly, he had never seen something like it before. It was all small and orange "Uuuh Shira what is this" "Shrimp" "Shrimp?" "Yeah it's seafood you know like fish" her paw swiped some closer to her "Yeah I use to eat this and all kinds of wierd seafood when I was pirate. And trust me it's delicious and way easy to hunt"

Diego looked at her and then back at the shrimp eyeing it, he sniffed the scent was really odd to him. He bit into it finding something hard and he swallowed whole only he started choking and spat it back out. Shira chuckled silently at it "I think your taste is hard...literally" "Ok first off you're eating it wrong. You have to remove the shell first like this" Shira placed her paw on the shrimp and her teeth cracked into the shell, prying it off and placing it on the side, she ate the shrimp.

"See? Not so hard" Diego looked at his shrimp and did what Shira did. He cracked the shell with his teeth and eat the shrimp, his ears perked at the softer meat in the shrimp and how taste was really good. "Mmm. Not bad. It's actually really good" Shira smirked at him as she took another shrimp but then something wierd happen. She trotted towards Diego and went around him, the brown saber eyeing her strange "Shira..." He said in a warning voice but before he can say anything else, she pushed him into the water.

Diego came out spitting water, glaring at the she saber but she lied down staring at him with a smirk "what?" "Shira..." He growled as she giggled at him and rolled on her back enjoying the warm sun on her stomach "Ok Softie now it's your turn to get some shrimp. I already got you some now you have to get some for me" she said lying down.

Diego rolled his eyes at her as he stared at the water "How do I catch the shrimp?" She groaned slapping her paw on her face "Man softie has never had seafood before" she told herself "Come on its very easy if you can see them above the surface, you just have to scoop them with your paw. If you can't see them, you might have to dive down and get them"

Diego looked at the surface and there wasn't any shrimp but he could see little orange blurs way below "Guess I'm diving" he told himself before taking a deep breath and going into the water. He swam down mop deeper and to him it was like entering a new world, there was all these shrimp swimming around him his eyes were curious like he was little cub coming out of the den for the first time.

Diego grabbed some shrimp with his paws and cracked the shell before swimming up. He came out of the surface and Shira lifted her head and upper body up when she saw Diego coming towards her, he placed the shrimp down at her paws smirking "There you go and I removed the shells" he said confident as Shira ate some of it "Not bad, good thing you're a fast learner" Diego brought his face closer to her a sneaky smile on him "I'm not just a fast learner" he grabbed Shira and pulled her into the water with him.

Shira burst out surprised at first but when Diego started laughing, she splashed some water at him and the two had a splash fight at the beach.
