Shira paced back and forth in her den while Tackle watched her anxiously, both of them worried. Diego went out hunting last night and didn't return. The Herd went out looking for him in the morning but still nothing.

Shira huffed fustrated but her face showed worry "Where could he be?" She asked herself concerned. It wasn't like Diego to not return from a hunt, even if he came empty handed. Tackle turned away from his mom to the outside of the den. The cub stood up and walked outside.

Shira's ears perked at sudden running and she turned around and saw that Tackle had darted off to find his father. Shira rolled her eyes annoyed "Just like me when it comes to running off" she told herself annoyed as she chased after him.

Tackle ran fast, stopping a few times to sniff the ground and air to find his dad's scent. Doing that had given Shira time to catch up to him and she spotted the cub. "Tackle slow down. We'll find him" she told him but the cub didn't pay attention and instead found something else. His ears perk up when he caught a scent.

"Hey mom. I smell dad" he told her excited and she stared at him surprised but she was relieve that they finally got something. Tackle started following the scent with Shira behind him. Along the way, Tackle stopped and his face showed surprise as he gasped. "Tackle. What is it?" She asked him worried. Tackle turned to his mom frowning "I smell Ramous" he told her serious and Shira growled, now making sense why her mate never returned. This was one of Ramous's plans.

The two crept catiously and alert and their ears twitched when they heard grunting like someone was struggling. The sound was coming from some bushes and the two peeked through the bushes.

Ramous was lying down next to a large pit and inside it can be heard the grunting. Ramous chuckled amused, unaware of the two sabers spying on him. Diego was trapped in a pit with no way out, a trap set to lure Tackle. Diego kept jumping, climbing and clawing to get out but to no avail. Ramous smirked amused while Diego growled at him.

"So that's why he didn't return. Ramous trapped him" Shira said angry. Tackle turned to his mom "Probably one of his plans to catch me" he explained to her. "And Ramous is guarding it" Shira added, looking back at the rouge watching over the trap.

"Hey mom" her ears twitched at her cub's voice as she turned to look at him. "I have an idea. But it's risky" he told her serious. She smirked at him, already figuring out his plan "Don't worry. You've outrun and outsmart him numerous times. So what's the plan kid?" She asked him as they both smirked at eachother and the cub explained his plan.

"Hey dad? Daaaad?" Tackle called out and stepped out of the bushes, catching the rouge's attention. Ramous's ears twitched at recognizing that voice and he turned around smirking. Tackle gasped surprised to see the rouge as he stood up...that was actually part of the plan.

"I knew you would've come looking for your dad once he was gone too long" Ramous told him confident. Inside the pit, Diego could hear everything and his face showed worry when his cub showed up. "Gotta get out of here" Diego told himself as he tried once again to climb up. "Pssst. Hey" his ears twitched at a whisper and he turned around and looked up. He smiled at seeing Shira standing over the pit with a smirk.

"I should've known you were up to this. Guess you realized catching me wasn't gonna work for you" Tackle taunted and Ramous growled at him, annoyed. Tackle smirked at him. Being chased by this saber had helped him know how to mess with Ramous.

Meanwhile, Diego crouched down and jumped up again, latching his claws to the dirt wall. Shira caught him by the scruff of his fur and tried to pull him up despite him being heavy.

"What did you say?" Ramous asked him snarling as Tackle stepped back, ready to run and lure him away. "I guess you got tired chasing me huh? Am I too fast for you?" Tackle kept taunting as Ramous got more irritated and was about to start the chase. But then his ears twitched at something small falling behind him.

He turned around and spotted Shira trying to pull Diego out who was halfway out. But when Diego put his paw on the edge of the pit, it crumbled and dirt fell. That's what made the noise.

"What?! Ramous snarled angrily, realizing the plan and he turned around. Tackle gasped when he crouched, ready to pounce on his parents. The cub leaped up and jumped on Ramous's head, blocking his view.

"Hey!" Ramous snapped as he struggled to shake the cub off, swatting his paws at him. Shira quickly pulled Diego up and he was finally out of the pit.

Ramous moved and his foot slipped on the edge of the pit. The saber slipped in and clung to the edge. Tackle quickly jumped and Ramous swatted his paw at him to catch him but failed. His claws slided off the dirt and he fell inside the pit.

Ramous groaned as he shook his head and looked up angrily at the family of sabers. "Outsmarted once again Ramous. You were pretty close I'll give you that" Diego teased him as his cub and mate chuckled. Ramous snarled and tried climbing out but no avail.

The family walked away from the edge "Thanks you two" he thanked them as Shira and Tackle smiled while Ramous's fustrated roars echoed from the pit.
