Ellie and Peaches stood before a tree, the mama mammoth holding her baby's little trunk. "Ok, baby. Today, I gonna teach you how to climb trees alright. You're part possum. So, we gotta teach you how to be a possum" Ellie explained as Peaches smiled big and excited. She had seen her mom do it before, and it looked really fun.

"Watch this" Ellie told her, letting go of her daughter's tiny fuzzy trunk as she started climbing up the tree. Peaches watch curiously as her mother vanished into the green leaves of the tree. "Mommy?" She called out to her, approaching the tree curiously. 'Where did she go?' She thought in her head, ears perking for any sound.

"BOO!"

Suddenly, Ellie's face appeared upside down. Peaches squealed in surprise, falling on her rear. She laughed, happy to see her mom in a funny position. Ellie chuckled at her daughter's reaction as she hung upside down.

"Mommy! You look so silly like that!" Peaches commented, leaning her head to the side to look at her the mom the same direction as her. "Now, it's not easy. But since you're still small, you're not heavy, so we shouldn't worry about the branch breaking" her mom explained to her, picking her up with her trunk.

Ellie lifted her baby up in the air to show her something. "You see my tail? See how I have it wrapped around the branch really tight? You want to have a good grip on the branch so you don't fall too early" she explained, trying to show Peaches where her tail was positioned, showing how it had a firm hold on the branch.

She set the smaller mammoth down gently and climbed off the branch, doing a back flip before landing. "Wow. My mommy is so strong" Peaches said in awe, amazed at how a large creature like her mom could hold onto a tree without breaking it.

"Alright. Now it's your turn" Ellie said, picking her up. Peaches was now facing the large tree branch her mom somehow managed to hold onto. "I'm gonna turn you around, and then you'll be upside down. So, get your little tail ready" the female mammoth explained, already doing that.

The baby mammoth giggled as she found herself seeing things upside down. It made her giggle more at finding her mom looking at her in the opposite direction vertically. Ellie chuckled warmly at how cute her daughter looked in this position.

"Now. Curl your tail around the branch" her daughter heard the instructions her mom gave her and sticking her tongue out, she tried wrapping her tiny little tail around the branch. Peaches smiled big to see she had a grasp on it. But once Ellie slowly let her go, the baby mammoth slipped off the branch. She waved hers legs in panic but her mom caught her in time, her trunk barely leaving her daughter.

"Aw. It didn't work" Peaches pouted, disappointed. "Hey" she glanced up at her mom when she heard Ellie spoke. The larger mammoth gave her the warmest smile. "If you fall, I'll be right there to get you back up" she assured her child, pulling her close into a hug. It made Peaches feel better as she returned the hug.

Ellie pressed a kiss on Peaches's fuzzy forehead, knowing the feeling. It wasn't easy for her to be trained in the ways of the possum. Especially due to being larger and heavier. She had her doubts. But her mom and brothers gave her the support she needed to probably be the first possum mammoth. Now, here she was  teaching her daughter these lessons and giving her the support she needed when she doubted herself.

They tried a few more times. Peaches would get upset but Ellie kept supporting and urging her to try again. Then, the little baby mammoth was finally able to grasp onto the branch with her tail. "Hey! Look, mommy! I'm doing it!" Peaches shouted, excited and happy. "Yes! That's my girl! You're doing it, baby!" Ellie cheered for her proudly but her eyes widen when Peaches let go of the branch by accident.

Luckily, she had quick reflexes and caught her baby. But Peaches just laughed it off, happy she learned to climb. Ellie smiled lovingly at her daughter, glad to be witnessing this proud moment. Now she had to explain this to Manny.
