"Hey Ellie!"

The she mammoth turned around, spotting her friends approaching her. Ellie smiled wide, glad to see them. Her excitement was bubbling inside but she contained herself. Ellie had big news for everyone that she couldn't wait to tell.

"We got everyone, like you asked sis!" Crash told her. "So, how are you feeling Ellie?" Manny asked his wife concerned. She had been throwing up recently and not eating much so he was worried about her. "I'm fine Manny. Don't worry" she assured him, touched by his concern for her. She found it sweet when he worried for her.

"Anyway. I got a surprise for you guys" she told them, grinning. This made the guys look at her confused yet curious. "So it turns out that me being sick ain't a bad thing. It's actually something good" she explained to them, wanting to assure her friends that she wasn't sick or anything serious.

"Oh I think we already know what it is Ellie"

Sid's voice came up, making everyone look at him in bewilderment. "You do?" They all said in surprise. "Yep. You thought you could hide it from is but I took notice the moment it was obvious" he proclaimed confidently, making Manny and Diego looked at him confused. Crash and Eddie scratched their heads, puzzled. They know that Ellie would tell them first or Manny so for her to tell Sid first is strange.

"Wow. Really Sid? I thought I was being quite sneaky about it. Do you know what it is I'm talking about?" She asked him, wanting to make sure he actually got it correct. Not that she doubted him but the sloth sometimes was clumsy in his actions and choices.

"Yeah. You've been getting fat recently. Aw it's ok Ellie. Body changes are normal" Sid commented casually, making his two friends look at him with wide eyes.

"Sid!" Manny, Diego and the possums yelled at him, irritated and it startled the sloth so much he jumped to his feet and fell on his rear. "It's no wonder why you don't have a girlfriend" Diego told him, finding that comment very offensive.

"That's my wife you're calling fat! I can tolerate that from you! But on Ellie, you're done for this time Sid!" Manny told him angrily, lifting his foot up to stomp him and Diego lifted his paw to scratch him. Even the possum brothers had their sticks out to wack him for insulting their sister.

"BOYS!"

The guys turned their heads, startled by the angry female mammoth yelling at them with a booming voice. She could see this was going downhill and decided to tell them her surprise before they tear Sid up.

"I'm pregnant!"

She finally let it out. Everyone looked at her wide eyes, and their jaws dropping. That explained a lot. Taking a breath to calm herself, Ellie gently placed her trunk on her stomach. "Me and Manny are going to have a baby" she told them warmly, smiling at them.

Everyone forgot about killing Sid for that comment and smiled at her, glad to hear. "You're pregnant! Ellie! That's great!" Manny was the first to talk, running to her to give his wife a hug. "We're gonna be parents!" He exclaimed, happy to be starting a family once again. Diego, Sid and the possums smiled, glad to see their mammoth friends overjoyed to be having a baby.
