Tackle was frozen in his place as Vibe and Ferry could watch in fear of what would happen. Ramous smiled evilly as he chuckled, happy that he was right about finding the cub and that he was close to the goal he so persistently wanted.

"Look here Kali. A cute little appetite" he told her. "Yes. So small. So lost. So vunerable" Kali said evilly. Tackle tried to run but Ramous caught the cub by pressing his paw on his firmly, Vibe saw things were going bad and she grabbed Ferry and ran to get help. Tackle stared at them as Kali took a step closer her claws out, his ears down seeing no way out ...or maybe there was.

"Wait" Ramous held his paw up to stop Kali from taking another step and she stared at her mate confused, wondering why he wouldn't take the chance now.

"I have a better idea..." he said his eyes on the cub but to Tackle's confusion he removed his paw off him "I'll give you a 10 second headstart" he explained to him. Tackle had so many questions like who was this guy and why did he let him go that easy but this wasn't the time for answers and Tackle took the chance and started running while Ramous started counting.

"10, 9, 8, 7..."

Tackle already reached the icy walls and on the snow

"6, 5, 4, 3, 2..."

Vibe and Ferry were on the ice watching from above as the cub ran

"1....here I come" Ramous said letting out a roar as he and Kali started chasing. The roar reached the Herd and Diego and Shira were up on their feet, they knew that sound belong to another saber.

Tackle ran as fast as he could and he let out a loud cub chirp for help, Diego and Shira heard it realizing that their cub was in serious danger "Tackle!" Diego said panicked as the two ran with the whole Herd following.

Tackle ran fast and he looked back and saw Ramous run after him from the corner with Kali. He gasped surprised at how quick they caught up with him, he jumped on a rock and Ramous jumped trying to pounce him but the cub leaped off the rock just in time leaving Kali to take the lead on him. She was really closing in on him and lunged at him but Tackle jumped at the icy wall and pushed himself off it giving him more speed.

Vibe and Ferry ran after the cub from above the icy wall, Vibe spotted an icy rock and with quick thinking she pushed off hoping it would slow the sabers down. Ramous saw it and increasing his speed, the rock missed but it did stop Kali in her tracks as she halted herself. She snarled at Vibe who had her ears down along with Ferry in fear and ran fast.

Tackle still kept running and turn looked back again and found Ramous still on pursuit of him. The cub was fast but for how long? He felt his heart beating fast and it started to get hard to breath, his legs and sides started hurting like he was gonna burst but Tackle knew stopping was not the best idea.

And as things couldn't get any worse, Sasha and Kwatak were on the air and watching the whole thing. Sasha aimed her bow at the path were the cub was reaching and she pulled the arrow back, her eyes focused as she chuckled wickedly before letting go.

The arrow hit the snow so deep it wasn't very visible and it was in Tackle's path, the cub tripped over the arrow and slid and rolled in the snow, his vision was shaky as all he could see was the snow. Finally, the rolling was done and Tackle laid on the snow tired and exhausted, his body aching everywhere and he could barely breath normal.

He heard an evil chuckle and barely lifting up his head, Ramous stood there making his way over slowly "Your really fast. I like that, you lasted much longer than expected" he complimented and lunged at Tackle his claws out and.....

"ROAR!"
