"Hey warrior princess!" Shira called out to her mate as she caught up with him. Diego was carrying their cub back to their den. "Diego hold on a second. I think you're being a little bit over" she tried telling her mate as he kept walking.

Diego reached the den and set the cub down "Ok Tackle. Until we come back, you're grounded" he told his son firmly. "What?!" Tackle said surprised and Shira too.

"What? You can't keep him in the den. Besides, he'll find a way out from under our noses" she explained to her mate. The saber had quickly learn her cub was clever, which came from her side of the family, and was sneaky too.

"Look Shira. We're parents. And so far we're failing to keep the Rouges away from our son" he tried explaining to his mate. "So?" She asked him, against the idea.

"So keeping him in the den away from the danger, he'll be safe" he explained to her as the cub tried to sneak past them but the saber was faster and caught his cub by the scruff and put him back in the den, his paw on him to keep him from escaping.

"See? Right under our noses" she reminded him as he groaned irritated that she was right. "Then I guess I'll have to find someone to watch him" he said as his cub squeezed out of his paw and looked at his dad.

"Come on dad. I can help. Besides, if Peaches started adventures when she was my age, why couldn't I?" Tackle told his dad as the saber shook his head.

"Ok first off. Peaches situation was different from yours. Second, you're not strong enough to protect yourself and everytime the Rouges go after you. You'll be safe here" he explained to him as the cub looked away upset that his dad couldn't trust him.

Diego sighed, sensing his cub's emotion. He wanted to trust his son but he also wanted to protect him. "Look bud. Just try to understand that I just want to keep you safe. Once things calm down a bit, you can come along with us" Diego explained to him before he turned around and walked away.

Shira looked at her mate and back to her cub. She knew that Diego wanted to keep their kid safe. But she also saw this was too much and it was hurting their trust. She walked up to the den and nuzzled her cub to comfort him "Listen. I'll go talk to him ok. You just hang tight and wait here" she told him assuringly and her cub smiled at her as Shira followed after Diego. "Hang tight. Yipee" Tackle said sarcastically as he sat down.

Suddenly, there was a rustling, making the cub's ears perk up and he turned his head to the flower bushes near his den.

He stood up growling at whatever was coming, his ears flat. Scrat popped out of the bushes terrified with Vibe chasing him.

"Squirrel squirrel squirrel!" Vibe yelled excited as she chased him around the cub and all over the den. Scrat managed to get away and he scattered off. Vibe panted tiredly "Almost had him" she said, her tongue out as Tackle looked at her blinking.

The pup then noticed the cub and smiled at him, like that whole squirrel chase didn't happen. "Hey there Fuzzball. What's up? Wanna go help me catch that squirrel?" She offered him but the cub shook his head. "I can't. My dad grounded me so now I have to stay here until he comes back" Tackle explained upset as he sat back down.

Vibe looked at the cub in sympathy. It wasn't his fault that Ramous targeted him specifically. Her ears perked up when she remembered her idea from earlier and she smirked sneaky.

"Hey Diego keeps saying he doesn't trust Adah. What if we found a way to bring Adah back and have the two meet and once Diego sees how cool Adah is, he'll start trusting you again" Vibe explained to him as the cub looked at her.

"I don't know V. My dad seems really upset. Running off is probably gonna make it worse" he told unsure. "Oh come on. We'll be back before anyone notices we're gone. But we might wanna hurry because Talia is gonna come looking for me" Vibe told him, the last part she sounded worried, knowing her pack would be upset.

"So what do you say? Ready to go on another adventure together?" She offered him smiling and Tackle thought about it for awhile. 'On one hand, it meant I would fall into more trouble. I might even run into Ramous. But on the other hand, I can get dad's trust back' he thought in his head and then stood up and looked at the pup.

"Alright let's go find Adah" he said determined and Vibe jumped excited but unknown to the two, Kiko was watching them from the trees "hmmm" he said frowning.
