Ice

A little while after Chris left I heard my super computer beeping. It was notifying me of something and by the beeping it was tracking something down.

When it beeps its tracking down something, an alarm is an attack and a bell is just simple information.

I sat back down on my chair, pressing a button on the remote making the white spot in front of me to turn and reveal a smaller computer.

I looked over at the data and info on this particular tracking.

"Mm interesting."

I chuckled, looks like we already have a lead. We should be able to check it out tomorrow.

I pressed the button again and the computer was replaced with the white spot on the desk in front of me.

I took several files along with a memo check out in my room also using the super computer, I linked from the office to my room.

I would say it’s about 7pm.

Mm two hours I thought as I stared through the files and the computer.

Chris

I woke up with a grunt.

I could barely sleep last night since I kept thinking about the mission.

On the bright side I got that tour yesterday so I won’t really get lost. I hope. Don’t judge this building is almost as big as the white house.

I got out of bed and got ready. After a shower I put on a dark blue shirt, black pants and a leather jacket since I look good in leather. Okay, it’s harder for bullets to penetrate. I still look good.

I got some guns, knives, and a small grenade with a big punch and my folding sword that can mold my element. What? I am going on a mission with Ice. There is nothing called overdoing with her as I heard. I am not taking any chances.

Ready to go. Good thing my leather has secret pockets and its close to winter.

I walked to the door sensing two people.

I opened the door and saw Lee and Phil both looking at me with worried eyes.

"Don’t worry guys I promise I will be coming back alive." I stated before they even said anything.

Lee raised an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah I'm not sure about that." I rubbed the back of my neck.

She sighed, "Well I guess it doesn't matter if you come backing one piece or not as long as you're alive."

I looked toward Phil who's been quiet. "Be safe bro." we did the gesture as girls call it weird.

Well I better go. I waved and went toward Ice's office. But not before winking at the girls checking me out.

Again with that receptionist! I shivered inwardly in disgust and put on a fake polite smile towards her. No way am I winking at her.

I went down the familiar creepy hallway and stopped at the door. I raised my hand to knock just as she said, "Come in."

I opened the door and walked in. I couldn’t help and check her out. She had on a violet plain tank top, black skinny jeans and a long black coat. I can’t help but gawk she has an amazing body. I would love to tap her. I think she will kill me in my sleep though.

She cleared her throat and I looked at her innocently and she shook her head muttering, "Men."

I wanted to chuckle at that but we have more important things.

"So what’s going to happen now? We can’t just go on a wild goose chase without any leads?" that question kept me awake along with the excitement for this mission.

"We have a lead." she answered.

"We do?" she nodded to me to come over and I did.

She pressed a button on the remote and a new screen came up.

I looked and saw a red dot on a map. I looked at her confused.

"This particular trail device was picked up by my computer shortly when you left." she started.

"Why this particular one?" I asked curious.

"Cause that tracker was turned on when an agent was attacked." she pointed at the smaller dot on the far side of town.

"Are we sure they’re the same people?"

"Yes I looked into it but I don’t really doubt my computer after all I build it and made the most advance programs." she answered. I think beneath that emotionless face and voice is a girl proud of herself. Or just still you know emotionless.

"How is the agent?" I asked wondering how bad their injury was.

"He died." she answered smugly and I was in shock. "At least he accomplished something." she answered in a bored tone."

"That’s all you can say!" I yelled at her.

"Well yeah now we know that the enemy is pretty much close. We have a lead and they don’t have whatever info or tools to kill higher ranks yet since that agent was a level 2." she answered smugly.

I just stared at her in shock along with the darkness around her with my special sightseeing not even a dent of pity. I turned off my sight since the darkness around her was darkening the room.

She looked at her watch. "Well we should get going. W

e have a date to the death with that red dot." she pointed at the blinking dot of where that person is now.

"Honestly I can’t believe they didn't even notice and if they did they are even bigger idiots." she shook her head and pressed the button on the remote making the wall return.

"Shall we?" she walked towards the door holding it.

I just walked out without a word.

She is going to take some getting used to.

On to the mission I guess.
