Ice

"Crap" I turned and started towards the door along with everyone else who heard.

Lee used her speed Chris and I following much more slowly. She was almost at the door when a half dead man grabbed her and she fell. With her speed it must have hurt.

I could hear her ankle twisting as she cursed out in pain.

I took out my gun and shot the man between the eyes, while Chris helped Lee out of the death grip.

Literally, do you know how much harder it is to move a person when their dead?

I helped Chris carry Lee quickly. Who knows when the bomb will go off?

We were running as fast and far as we could but I looked back and saw that we were still too close.

If it comes to it I would have to block off the explosion.

I can’t use my Ice thought. Learned that the hard way, I grimaced at the memory.

We kept running and were going for cover.

But it was too late.

BOOM

I heard the ware house explode behind me.

Vanessa

As soon as the boys heard me tell Ice they ran faster along with me.

I saw cover by a boulder, it wasn't as far but we didn't have much time. When I read that man's mind it showed 3 minutes till detonation.

I jumped behind the huge boulder along with the boys. Just in time as we head the boom.

Derek gathered shadows surrounding us and the boulder making things fly off of it as I felt the cold air blow my hair.

I hope you made it Ice. I thought as things finally calmed down.

I got up from my spot but saw a blue type mist spreading.

Soon enough it reached us and I felt weak. Suddenly Phil started coughing and I soon joined along with Derek.

What is this mist! I kept on coughing feeling pain in my stomach and pretty much everywhere.

Suddenly Derek put shadows up around us like a shield also clearing out the air.

I felt a little better but I was still coughing.

"Come on" Derek started walking away from the wreckage and mist.

I got up with difficulty following him Phil close behind under the shadow dome. It looks like Derek is having difficulty thought.

We walked away from the mist walking up a hill when the shadows came down and Derek collapsed on his hands and knees breathing heavily.

"What was that?" Phil asked collapsing along with him.

"I don’t know" I answered sitting down on the grass staring at the wreckage and mist bellow.

"Whatever it was it made it difficult to use my powers, let alone breath" Derek stated between breaths.

Suddenly realization dawned to me. "You don’t think......" I trailed off.

"I don’t know but we should check up on Ice and the others" Derek stood up.

Lee

Chris and Ice helped me run as far away as we could.

Never thought I'd see or hear the day where Ice is saving someone. All those rumors and lives, yet here we are.

I looked back and saw we weren't far enough, we would still be caught in the explosion, if not than stray pieces flying everywhere will.

I focused on running faster and get as far away as I could, but wasn't fast enough.

BOOM

I heard the ware house blow and out of instinct I dropped to the ground bringing Chris with me and put my arm to shield my head.

I waited for the blow or even the heat from the explosion but nothing came. Although I'm still hearing chaos.

Puzzled I opened my eyes and gasped at the sight.

Ice was facing the warehouse hands held out and her hair floating. It looked like any object coming out way was stopped and pushed away by some force.

I heard a gasp beside me to see Chris staring at Ice wide eyed. Who wouldn't, he seemed to be looking at something else thought.

I looked closer and gasped at the sight. Ice's Eyes were glowing, much more than when she uses her ice powers.

Speaking of powers how is she doing this?

Soon enough everything calmed down. "What-how......." I stuttered blinking trying to see if what I was seeing was real.

I turned my attention away from her as I saw a blue type mist coming from the ware house and spreading. What is that?

I stared puzzled as the mist came closer and soon surrounded us. After a few minutes of the mist surrounding the force field, or whatever that is, Ice looked like she was struggling.

Her eyes narrowed in concentration. It looks scary when she narrows her eyes when their glowing like that. Focus.

Suddenly she was breathing heavily. "What is this?" she breathed out.

"Ice?" I got up careful not to lean too much on my twisted ankle. "What’s wrong?" I asked her.

"Hold your breaths" she stated.

"What?” Chris and I asked.

"Hold your breaths" she repeated herself.

"why-" Chris started.

"Just do it damn it" She yelled. I did as 'asked' and inhaled deeply along with Chris.

"Good" she inhaled herself, suddenly the mist around us was closing in as Ice put down her hands.

I looked around trying not to let out the breath I'm holding when suddenly I started hovering above the ground.

I looked around in panicky accidently letting out the breath I was holding as I gasped. We’re flying.

I tried taking a deep breath again, but all I inhaled was the mist that made me a little weak. I breathed out and tried inhaling again, but all I got was the blue mist and I felt weaker. I began panicking breathing in and out, but I seem to get weaker and soon enough pain throughout my body started.

I felt the air clearing as we flew over the warehouse, soon enough I was breathing clear air but the pain was still there.

Suddenly we were free falling and landed in the water near the ware house. I swam to the surface taking a deep breath swimming towards the port.

I pulled myself up coughing a little. Do you know how hard it is to swim with a twisted ankle?

I played down for a while calming down.

"That was close" I heard and looked towards Ice to see her getting up.

"What was that?!" Chris exclaimed.

"Ssh" Ice held her hand up to him.

"What do you mean-" Chris started but stopped. I guess he heard it too.

'Ice are you guys alright? ‘I heard Vanessa's voice in my head.

'Yeah, it was a close one thought, I had to block the explosion' ice responded.

'You couldn't have after what happened last time-' I saw Ice grimace at her statement.

'Don’t tell me you used-'

'I did' Ice cut off Derek. What are they talking about? After that there was a moment of silence.

'that aside, there was a blue mist that came out after the explosion an when we inhaled it made us g go weak and into a coughing fit, even Derek said that it was hard for him to use his powers in that mist' Vanessa spoke again.

'We think it’s......' Derek trailed off

'The cyrum no doubt’ Ice sighed. I gasped at that, no wonder.

'I knew it' Vanessa muttered.

'now we don’t have much time, Vanessa contact the administrators for them to send the cleaning crew and some scientists to clean up and get samples, we don’t need the cyrum to spread out and bother us any further, we'll all meet up at the agency to discuss this incident' Ice commanded

'On it' Vanessa answered. Soon it was silent.

I heard Ice sigh and start towards the wreckage. I followed her and saw that she kept her distance from the mist. She raised her hands out in front of her as her eyes started glowing.

"What are you doing?" Chris asked.

"Getting a sample for myself" was all she said as she concentrated. Soon I saw some of the mist breaking off and coming towards her.

It came closer and formed a circle, soon enough Ice reached out to touch it and froze it solid. The sphere was as big as my head.

The sphere hovered a little then came down into her hands. Her closed eyes suddenly opened. "Damn it" she cursed out.

"Get to the car" she started running towards it and it looked like she was concentrating really hard. I had no choice but to follow her towards the car. What she is my ride?

She got in the car along with Chris in the passenger seat and me in the back. My ankle in really hurting. I looked and saw Ice was holding the sphere on her lap, one hand over it the other on the wheel. Should have be worried?

She started the ignition and sped out fast. Good thing I put on my seatbelt in time this time.

"Why are you driving so fast?!" Chris exclaimed as he hit the door hard when she did a sharp turn.

Ice seemed to ignore him and in great concentration.

Why is she driving so fast? And she doesn't need to concentrate on driving that much does she?

Soon enough we sped pass some of the agency's vans and made it to the building. Ice took off her seat belt quickly and started towards the building ignoring Chris calling out to her.

 Soon I saw Derek pull up and Vanessa and Phil come out.

"Lee" he hugged me. He accidentally stepped on my foot with my twisted ankle making me flinch.

"What happened" he asked as he felt me flinch.

"Tell him later where’s Ice?" Vanessa asked.

"Oh yeah, she mad dashed into the building." I answered.

"Let’s go” Derek and Vanessa ran into the building after Ice while Phil Carried me.

"Want to tell me what happened?" he asked me.

"Later" I told him as we came into the office.

We saw one of the doors in the office open. I was always curious about that particular door.  Ice said to stay out of it when she showed us the first door that had weapons.  Lots and lots of weapons.

I got out of Phil's hold and walked in.

I gasped.

"oh. my. god"
