There were days when we used to talk to each other everyday,
Now are the days we talk to our memories which will never fade away.
There were days when we used to smile at the each other ear to ear,
Now I smile at the picture of you in my head that is stuck in there forever.
There were days when we used to hold each other's back,
Now not even our shadows are there to watch each other's every step.
There were days when we had happy talks,
Now just thinking about it makes my eyes fill up.
There were days when we held each other's hands to get back up,
Now I only hold back my tears to not fall back down,
But the day we stepped on that old road again,
That was the day I actually realised that diamonds never really break away.
