🔻Prologue🔻

"Congratulations!" A genuine praise came from a middle-aged feminine voice of a doctor. "You have twins!" She added, a warm, wide smile plastered on her face as she stared at the woman who was the mother of the two, twin newborns.

"What would you like to name them?" A nurse asked, looking at the woman who was carrying both of her twin sons. The mother curved a gentle smile on her lips.

"I like to name them..." The woman thought for a while as she softly brushed her hands on her sons' heads. "I think I like to name them Api and Air." She replied, making the doctor and the nurses smile from her response.

"I love those names you have given them!" One of the nurse complimented with a wide smile. "They're also unique for me too!" She added, making the mother chuckled slightly from the nurse's comment.

"I guess, Api and Air it is..." The mother whispered to herself as she laid her eyes on her two sons, sleeping on her arms.

"Haha! You can't catch me!~" The crimson-eyed boy laughed, running for his life from his twin brother, Air.

"Api! Come back here!" The water element shouted as he gave all his energy to sprint towards his fire elemental twin brother.

The two boys had grown up so fast after the past few years and currently, they were already in their toddler years.

"Boys! Don't cause too much ruckus here, okay?" Their mother warned as she was preparing their food for lunch.

"Gotcha!~" Air exclaimed as he caught his twin brother but loses his balance because of too much speed, causing them to fall on the ground together.

The two boys paused for a moment when they look at each other and started laughing and giggling from their playfulness. They stopped after a few minutes and smiled while staring at the blue sky from above.

"Hey look! That cloud looks like a chicken!" Api exclaimed as he pointed a certain cloud that was shaped like a chicken. "And, I wished to be friends with it!~" He added, making his twin brother giggled softly.

"And that cloud looks like a whale!" Air stated, pointing at the certain cloud that was shaped like a whale. "Oh, how I wish I have a whale stuffed toy someday..." He mumbled, pouting afterwards.

The fire element glanced at his water elemental twin brother, his eyebrows furrowed. He then formed a sad smile, facing his twin brother.

"Well, maybe someday, I will buy you one...If I ever find one though..." Api softly said, smiling warmly at Air.

The water element glanced back at his fire elemental brother and raised his pinky finger up. "Promise?" He asked.

Api also raised his pinky finger up, hooking it together with his twin brother's pinky finger. "Promise." He replied, grinning.

Air smiled back at his brother. "Well, I might buy you a lot of chickens for you to be friends with." He stated, chuckling afterwards.

"Oh please do, Air!" The fire element responded, his eyes sparkling in excitement.

"That's only a joke!" The water elemental said, sticking his tongue out playfully.

"Hey! Not fair!" The red-capped boy pouted. "I was going to buy you a whale stuffed toy and that's what you're going to give to me?" Api whined, his lips quivering while looking at his twin brother with his sad, puppy eyes.

"But, you're only going to be friends with it, which that would be impossible for some reason." The blue-capped boy remarked, chuckling slightly afterwards.

"Whatever, at least I have friends, right?"

"Who are chickens..."

"Oh, shut up..."

"Boys!" Their mother called, making both of the twins turned around where their mother was. "It's time for lunch!"

The twin brothers exchanged glances, grinning from ear to ear. "I'll race you there!" Both of them said in unison as they stood up from the ground and started racing towards the house.

"I'm gonna be the first one!"

"No, you're not!~"

"Yes, I am~"

"Nope! It's going to be me!"
