Hey guys,  I thought I would try to write an Eponine/Enjolras fanfiction...hopefully it's good, but I make no promises lol :)

Eponine's POV

"Eponine, you have to find that girl for me!" my heart drops hearing Marius say that. I have known him much longer and have loved him ever since I saw him. How could he love someone he saw for the first time seconds ago! Life has been so unfair to me. I go from well off to dirt poor, my parents started to treat me harshly and the man I love loves another woman.

I can't believe Marius didn't notice I like him; he is so oblivious. I would die for that man and he is too busy being love sick over a girl who he doesn't even know the name of!

I try to contain my anger and sadness and all of the other emotions trapped inside of me. I put on a fake smile and respond to Marius. "What will you give me M'sier; to find this girl for you?" I try not to sound bitter, but I can't help but feel, but hopefully not sound resentful when I say it.

I happen to know who the girl is who he's talking about; her name is Cosette. My sister, Azelma and I used to have to spend time with her as children while her mother was working.

A few years ago, a man came and gave my parents money to take her away.

"I would give anything, name your price 'Ponine, just find her. Please." I see Marius turn to fish money out of his pocket.

"I don't want money, M'sier. I'll find her."

"Oh, thank you Eponine! I don't think I'll be able to live until I find her." As he leaves, I look sadly at him as he turns the corner.

It took me a while, but I finally found where Cosette lives. I stand in front of the abaisses cafe. I hear cheers and laughter coming from the building.

I take a deep breathe and enter the building. I gradually head up the stairs. I see men gathering around Marius and another man. I can't really see the other man's face, but I can see Marius's clearly. He has the same look in his eye that he did when he saw Cosette earlier today.

The group said some last words about the revolution before they started to move around the room. I see Marius and the other man clearly now.

Something about the man caught my eye. Was it his intense stare with those piercing eyes? I could only see a bit of his face, but I couldn't stop staring and wondering.

I finally look away when Marius comes running towards me. He has a hopefull smile on his face. I into his eyes and I forget about everything else in my life.

"Did you find her 'Ponine?" he says. Suddenly my bright, happy world turns into a dark, lonely one again. Of course; he was only excited to see me only because I found Cosette.

I nod my head slightly before rushing out the door; I try not to look at him so my heart doesn't break.
