"What happened to Seokjin?"

    "What happened that he had a heart attack or what happened that he could refuse to wake up?"the doctor asked carefully.

     "B-both," Namjoon stammered, not having imagined that the two were cause could be distinct and being more anxious than ever. "To start, what happened to him to cause him to go into cardiac arrest?"

     "It was various injuries, some of which were serious. First, a head trauma related to a violent blow he received in the face. Then an asphyxiation linked to trampling which also caused several internal injuries. This asphyxiation was coupled with a panic attack which led to a sudden acceleration of his heart rate. Ah, and he also broke his right ankle, maybe getting trampled. But it was mainly his stab wound that led to this critical condition and almost cost him his life."

     "His stab wound?" Namjoon asked blankly.

     "Yes," the doctor confirmed gravely, "your friend was stabbed."

     "But... but... How is that possible?"

     "I don't know, seomeone in your team or someone else at the scene of the tragedy must have the answer, but I will say that you must have enemies. Unless he accidentally received the stab intended for someone else."

     Namjoon realized how stupid he was. How was it possible? Simply because they hadn't taken the death threats addressed to Jin seriously. It was as simple and tragic as that. Something terrible is going to happen during the world tour, the first threatening comment on Vlive had said. And something terrible had indeed happened. The leader of BTS took his heads in his hands.

     "What did he say?" Taehyung asked in Korean, glancing at Namjoon who looked in shock. The rapper quickly translated for him and Taehyung muttered : "That's a joke, right? All that happened, the Army bomb and the crowd movement, was an accident, wasn't it? Where does this stab come from?"

     Particularly shocked himself by what he had just heard, Namjoon shook his head and motioned for him to be quiet to allow the doctor to continue, what he urged him to do.

     "Please sir, continue."

     The doctor knew that the news was getting more serious and that at some point the boys might not be able to handle these revelations but for the moment it was obvious that the BTS leader needed to know the truth, so painful be it. So he continued:

     "The blow pierced his shoulder blade and damaged certain organs in the process due to the orientation of the knife. He was successfully operated on but between the loss of blood and asphyxiation, his body is in a state of shock and particularly weak. As I said befor, his awakening now depends on him, that's why I can't tell you exactly when he will wake up."

     Namjoon was absolutely horrified by this news, but he was even more so since he sent Jungkook to join Jin. Was he also injured? How many aggressors were there at the stadium the day before? Were all BTS members targeted? Was it possible that other of his members were stabbed and are currently in the same condition as Jin, or even worse if it was possible, in the morgue?

      "No, there are no other Korean stabbing victims treated in my department since the previous night," Moreux replied to his questioning, to which Namjoon sighed in relief. "But the numerous victims of the Stade de France were distributed in many hospitals, so it is difficult to know what happened to your friends, I prefer to be honest with you."

     The doctor looked with pity on these two young men who had certainly lived the worst night of their life, had emerged from it injured, had escaped death and now had to face dark news. The two Koreans seemed to have trouble taking in the information about Jin's injuries, how were they going to receive the rest?

     "Yet, this is unfortunately not Mr. Kim's full health check and that's what makes me say he might not want to wake up. For the rest, I need to be sure that you are in a condition to listen to what I have to say to you. In fact, it would be preferable if I could speak directly to his family because it is quite worrying."

     Taehyung, who did not understand all the doctor's sentences, remained silent but Namjoon, more anxious than ever, told Moreux that he was ready to listen, adding with sincerity:

     "We are his family, please tell us everything."

     The man nodded with a mirthless smile before explaining :

     "To start, I discovered on him wounds older than those suffered during the evening of yesterday, in the process of healing but which testify to repeated violence against him in recent weeks and even months if we go back to the oldest. Were you aware of that?"

     Questioned, Namjoon wondered if he was referring to Jin's broken fingers before stopping on the terms "repeated violence", so he asked him if that was it.

     "Not only. There are many others including some even more recent."

     "More recent? But he broke his finger just before the tour. Maybe what you see are injuries he got while training on the tour?" he replied nervously, waiting for more clarification.

     "No, I'm not talking about a few bruises he might have had on the fall or muscle pain. I'm talking about physical abuse knowingly carried out by someone."

     "Ph-physical abuse?"

     "Yes. Apart from a broken finger that has already been treated and which could not be hidden from you, Mr. Kim's body has old hematoma, bite marks in various places but also burn mark and laceration marks probably caused by a whip, belt or other such object and dating back only a few days. I also found slight traces of strangulation which shows that there were several attempts to strangle him. All these marks have remained because they have not been properly cared for as and when. And... I imagine, from your expression, that you didn't know," the doctor commented.

      If he hadn't been on life support, Namjoon would probably have run out of air at that moment. For his part, Taehyung seemed empty, and Namjoon wondered if he was in shock or just didn't understand. 

     "We... I didn't know anything about that," Namjoon breathed in pain, unaware that the doctor hadn't delivered the final blow yet. "Someone d-did him all of... that... for months?! Please, tell me it's just speculation, no one could have done such a thing to Seokjin!"

     "These are not speculations. A person can hide the truth, but a carefully made medical report does not lie. Your friend has suffered a lot and nothing is invented, whatever you think. And there is one last thing you need to know."

     "Wasn't it over?" Namjoon stammered, horrified.

     "I am afraid not. If you think it will be too much for you to bear, I can keep it for the file and entrust it to another person close to Seokjin's entourage."

      Namjoon wondered if he really wanted to hear the end of this unreal list of horror that Jin would have experienced according to the doctor. But if it was real, he had to know. 

     "No, tell me."

      The doctor stared Namjoon in the eyes, as if to probe if he really thought he was ready. His leadership determination was lit in his eyes and that convinced Moreux.

     "Alright. As these injuries were disturbing and indicative of some form of violent and clear abuse, despite Mr. Kim's age, I performed a full examination. I discovered consequently an anal tear which proves that he was the victim of several forced and brutal penetrations by a genital organ but also by sharp objects in order to make him suffer. Terribly suffer."

     In shock, Namjoon's jaw dropped. He hadn't wanted to imagine anything worse than what he had already heard and fell from the clouds.

    "To be more explicit," the doctor clarified, "know that Seokjin was the victim of sexual assault."

     "You mean..." Namjoon said slowly, as if his brain was trying to process this information in vain while Taehyung's had dropped out, "You mean he was... raped?"
