"Back off, don't touch him!"

     Yoongi's voice was harsh. Jungkook quickly withdrew his hand as if it had been burned.

    "Hyung, I'm so sorry, I didn't-" 

     "Don't move, Jungkook, I'll be right back and then we'll talk," the rapper cut before he got in motion and dragged Jin after him. 

     The eldest made no resistance, allowing himself to be pulled by the younger one, easily taking his gaze away from Jungkook.

     Yoongi led Jin to the nearest room which turned out to be Hoseok's and he woke the latter, asking him to take care of Jin who was no longer crying but had not bothered to dry his tears and was sporting an expression the young rapper had never seen him before and which alerted him, waking him completely. 

     Hoseok gently made Jin sit on his bed because it seems to be in pain and exchanged a worried look with Yoongi who silently made him understand that he was going to come back quickly and that he would explain the situation to him later. Hoseok nodded before taking a seat next to Jin.

     Then, Yoongi closed the door and walked back to Jungkook, still motionless in the hallway. He led him to his bedroom and ordered him to sit on the bed as he placed the desk chair in front of him and settled into it, eyeing Jungkook's red cheek, just slapped by Jin.

     "It's time for a talk, I think you don't mind?"

     Jungkook didn't answer but nodded to signify that he didn't object and waited.

     "I overheard your conversation," Yoongi said without trying to apologize.

     Jungkook glanced at him in alarm, trying to remember what he had said a few minutes earlier and everything he could've inadvertently revealed. He didn't remember explicitly mentioning the nightmarish night and Lee's involvement but, blinded with anger as he had been, he couldn't remember everything he had said.

     "Jungkook, you've turned into a person you're not," Yoongi told him gravely, "and even if it turns out it's my fault, I can't let you continue."

     "No! It's not your fault, "protested Jungkook, who didn't understand how Yoongi could relate to the events of a few minutes earlier. "I ... I ... hit hyung and said terrible things to him, it's all my fault ..."

     Yoongi interrupted him and explained his thought:

     "It all started with what I told you in my room last time, you started to look at Hyung differently, to be very possessive..."

    "No ..." Jungkook protested weakly but Yoongi continued bluntly:

     "... And you started to believe he was looking at you that way too. But you just realized that's not the case and it hurt you a lot..."

     "No, you are wrong ..."

     "... and I bet you if I ask Taehyung, he will think the same thing: he noticed this yesterday and that's why he behaved this way with Jin and you, isn't it? That's why it's so tense between you?"

     "No, he got it wrong, he didn't quite get it," Jungkook tried to explain in despair. Yoongi wasn't entirely wrong but it wasn't that simple. That's what he wanted to shout at him. 

     "Jungkook, you cannot continue on this path. You make hyung suffer." Yoongi had hit the  word suffer to make Jungkook react and it worked.

     "I'm telling you you're wrong !!" He cried, seeming to beg the elder to believe him.

      "SO EXPLAIN TO ME!" Yoongi exploded even louder, not careful now to keep the other members sleeping.

     But Jungkook frantically shook his head:

     "I have nothing to say, I'm sorry."

     "Jungkook... are you crying?" The rapper suddenly advised, fixing the young man's bright eyes more intently.

     "I'm not crying," the maknae harshly defended himself, trying to keep his wet eyes from showering pain on his face, "I-I promised I won't cry again. "

    Yoongi softened:

    "This story hurt you too, so why not talk about it and try to sort things out and get better?"  

     "I can't hyung, I really can't."

     The older one sighed at this deaf dialogue. He could see that Jungkook was finding it harder and harder to contain his tears and that he would reveal nothing more than what he had    managed to learn through the door that morning.

      For the moment, he felt helpless in the face of what he had just learned because he realized that he would have to solve this situation without the help of Jungkook who was, however it seemed to him, the key to resolution to all dorm problems. So he made a temporary decision that probably wouldn't be very helpful, but he didn't see another at the moment:

      "So while we wait for a solution, you will have to stick to what you said yesterday: you will stay away from Jin hyung unless he comes to you himself."

     Jungkook opened his mouth to protest but changed his mind. He knew he had no right to this and that Yoongi was undoubtedly right in wanting to keep him away from Jin. 

     So, he nodded and kept his head down. Yoongi put a comforting hand on his shoulder before leaving the room to return to Jin.
