Hiccup's POV

When we landed on Dragons Edge, the gang came rushing over to see what was going on.

"Hiccup! What happened?" Fishlegs asked.

"Astrid and Stormfly were shot down and Astrid hit her head" I said, trying to not put to many details into it.

"I'll call for Gothi" Fishlegs said as he rushed to his hut where he had a terrible terror.

I was carrying Astrid bridal style to her house, with the gang and the dragons following me.

I tried my hardest to not look down and burst into tears, and believe me, that was HARD.

I placed Astrid in her bed. I took a chair and sat down by her side.

I looked over at Ruffnut and saw that she was crying silently.

"Hiccup, you should go" Ruffnut said with a broken voice.

"Why should I leave her? I don't want to leave her! Not again! Not ever!" I said furious.

"Hiccup, I'm going to change her out of the wet clothes, and I'm pretty sure that she doesn't want you to see her naked" Ruffnut said. I got up from the chair and left Astrid's house.

I was walking around Dragons Edge, waiting for Ruffnut to finish.

I was extremely tense. And then Fishlegs came over to me.

"Hiccup! Hiccup!" Fishlegs said, panting.

"What is it Fishlegs?" I asked him.

"I just sent the terror" Fishlegs said as he was trying to catch his breath.

"Okay? Why did you tell me?" I asked him.

"Just so you would know" Fishlegs said. I nodded and Fishlegs left.

I looked over at Astrid's house and saw that Ruffnut left the house, sobbing.

I ran back into Astrid's house. I hurried up the stairs and saw her laying there. Laying there on her bed, she looked peaceful.

She had changed clothes, it was a new and dry version of the clothing she usually wore. So it was pretty much the same.

Her hair was braided in her normal way, but she didn't have a single corn of sand on her now.

"She clearly gave you a quick bath" I said as I sat down on the chair by her bedside.

Her skin was still pale with a greenish color to it. But now her eyes were closed, and her hands were folded.

"Ruff has clearly prepared you for your funeral, she clearly doesn't have any faith at all" I said as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"But I can promise you one thing Astrid, I Won't Give Up"
