Astrid's POV

Stormfly and I were flying to Dragons Edge. I could see Dragons Edge in the horizon.

"Not too long now, Stormfly" She made a happy sound and sped up a bit.

Shortly after, we landed at the edge. I smiled.

We walked into my house. I put anyway some things, and then we left.

We walked around the Edge, hoping to find Ruff, but we didn't find her.

"Let's check the hangar" I said to Stormfly. She nodded as we began walking over there.

I heard voices as we approached the hangar. I sneaked up to the corner and peeked in through the doors.

"How do I get it to fly?" A brunette asked Hiccup,who was standing beside the pink and purple nadder that she was sitting on.

The brunette had long well, brown hair braided into a long braid hanging on her back. She was wearing a white blouse under a brown leather corset looking thing, and she was wearing a brown leather skirt that matched her corset thing.

She was wearing a pair of leather boots and her legs were bare.

I could barely see her eyes, but i could see that they were Raven gold.

"Okay, Irene, you have to tell the dragon that you want to fly first" Hiccup said. She nodded and told the dragon that she wanted to fly. The dragon flew up and she fell off. And as she fell off, she landed straight into Hiccup's arms, bridal style.

"Oops" She said. She clearly had a crush on Hiccup. I already hate her. She was basically like:

'Hi! I'm your new rival!'

I growled and walked away with my axe ready to chop off someone's head. As I walked home, I bumped into someone.

"Hey! Watch it!" I said fiercely. And then I realized who it was.

"Ruff! Finally!" I said.

"Astrid! Where have you been?" Ruffnut asked.

"I've been on Berk, with my parents" I said to her.

"Hiccup told us that you weren't there" Ruff said.

"That's because I hid away from him" I said. Ruff nodded.

"Anyways, who is that girl Hiccup is with?" I asked Ruffnut, wanting to know who my rival was.

"Oh, that's Irene, a real piece of Yak s*it if you ask me" Ruff said.

"What is she doing here?" I asked Ruff.

"She came back from Berk with Hiccup to train to become a dragon rider, but that quickly escalated to a relationship though" Ruffnut said. My jaw dropped, and I felt like someone had just chopped up my heart with my own axe.

"Relationship?" I tried swallowing a huge lump I had in my throat, but I couldn't get it down. "Do you mean a romantic relationship or?"

"Romantic relationship. I mean Hiccup is head over heels in love with this girl! He was about to give your house to her! Lucky for you, I stopped him, but he doesn't seem to care about you anymore" Ruffnut said. Okay, okay. OKAY.

"Um... Ruff... I really need to go... See you later..." I said. I ran back to my house and locked the door. Stormfly laid down on the floor and watched me as I closed the door entirely.

When I had locked the whole door, I couldn't hold it back anymore.

I leaned against the door and slid down it into a sitting position.

Then that strange feeling came, the emptiness. My eyes were watering.

I could feel a tear roll down my cheek. I hadn't felt that in years. I hadn't felt such sadness in several years.

I couldn't hold anything back. The tears began pouring down like waterfalls. Silent tears that came in waterfall sizes.

It's official, I've had my first heartbreak.
