Astrid's POV

We had just finished painting Stormfly when the sun stood up. She was now a purple and yellow nadder.

"We should probably get inside before anyone comes out" Dad said. I nodded.

"Yeah, and you guys need your sleep" I said. I smiled at my parents, and the we walked in to our house.

I was sitting on my bed, sharpening my axe with a stone. I looked out of the window and saw the sun shine.

Normally, this would be my average morning, but this time, something was missing, It felt like a big hole inside of my heart.

I tried shaking it off, but it wouldn't work.

I got tired of sharpening my axe, so I decided to just look out of the window. I climbed out of the window and sat on the roof.

As I was watching the clouds, I saw something black shoot through them.

"Hiccup" I whispered. I quickly got back into my room and went back to looking out of my window.

Hiccup and Toothless landed in front of the Meade hall. And in front of the doors of the Meade hall, stood Stoick.

Hiccup was talking to him, and Stoick nodded. When they began walking towards my house, I decided to find a hiding spot.

"Where to hide, where to hide" I said to myself.

I climbed out of the window and jumped off the roof. I hid behind our neighbor's house.

Even though I was outside, I could hear them talking.

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Hofferson, have you seen your daughter lately?" Stoick asked. I couldn't see what they were doing so, I just continued listening.

"No, we haven't seen her in over 7 months" My mother said.

"Did you get a dragon?" Stoick asked randomly.

"Yes, that's my dear husband's new dragon, Nightkiller" My mother said casually, like she had been practicing.

"Okay then, I'm sorry I bothered you, thank you for the help!" Stoick said.

I saw Hiccup and Stoick leave my house.

"What do we do now dad? They haven't seen her in 7 months!" Hiccup said to his dad.

"Let's just ask the other villagers if they have seen her" Stoick said as they continued to my neighbors house.

When they were at my neighbors front door, I decided to get back up on the roof and crawl in by the window.

When I came inside my house, I went downstairs.

"Thanks, mom" I said.

"Anything for you Astrid" My mom said smiling.
