"Wait! What did you just say, Ussop? I think I heard it wrongly... Could you please repeat what you just said?" asked the blonde cook.

The other man with tanner skin trembled under the blonde cook icy cold stare. He gulped before finally found his voice once more.

"L-Luffy is getting married..." Ussop said shakily.

"And with WHO?!" This time, the blonde cook couldn't hold his cool anymore. He stood from his working desk, leaving his work that looks totally unimportant now, and walked closer to the ravenette. His long pale hands easily trapped the quivering man, making him unable to make any escape attempt. "Spill it out, Ussop..." hissed the blonde cook.

The head gardener heart thumped like crazy. He couldn't distinguished whether his heart race because of his fear or just because the man he had admired for a long time already suddenly got so close to him. Well... It doesn't really matter though. Ussop just wanted to escape from this situation... SOON...

"K-King R-Roronoa..." said the tanned boy after struggling so hard. Sanji's expression immediately changed from angry to pure horror.

"WHAT?! THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG HERE!" The blonde cook shouted stomping out of the kitchen. Why? How could? Is there something wrong with our country that King Shanks will let that filthy king to marry his precious son? Those questions swarmed on his mind as he walked toward the third prince room.

A pair of strong and firm hand stopped the blonde cook on his track, "Wait, Sanji!" Ussop's voice was trembling yet his hand's grip was firm.

Sanji looked back and found his face distance with the gardener was dangerously close that Sanji could hear Ussop's loud heart beat clearly. "What do you want, Ussop?"

The tanned boy gulped nervously before opening his mouth, "W-Well... You better not ask Luffy about this, Sanji... He has been feeling down since he heard this news from his father." Sanji growled, his eyes glare blade toward the gardener telling him to back off. But Ussop stubbornly stopped Sanji on his track.

"Okay. I won't." Sanji sighed, "But I'll just ask the other..." Sanji added on his mind.

Ussop looked at the blonde cook with worried gaze. "Don't approach that neighbor king to Sanji. He is dangerous..." Ussop added in the end before unwillingly let Sanji go.

Sanji nodded to his friend. Even without Ussop telling him, he had known how dangerous people from that country were. And he absolutely needed to know why, just why, King Shanks let Luffy married that man...

Ussop black eyes followed Sanji's back that slowly getting smaller and smaller as he walked away. It hurt him so much to see his friend hurts expression. But seeing Sanji's was the worst of all. It stabbed his heart just as hard as when he saw her dying mother. Ussop reached out his hand and realized just how weak he was, just how small his existence was for the blonde cook.

Unlike Luffy that everyone love so much, that Sanji care so much, Ussop was no one... It wasn't like Ussop hate Luffy or anything, he love Luffy just as much as the other, or even more as the third prince was the one who changed his life. Just sometime he felt the world was so unfair...

If only he was stronger, he could help Sanji...

"Luffy... Come on... Open the door..." Nami knocked the door while slowly trying to persuade Luffy to let her inside. "I bring your favorite food, Luffy..." Nami added.

Nothing. Not even a groan or shout or... anything...

It was strange. The third prince would never ever reject foods. "Luffy... If you don't open the door on the third count, I'll open the door with force..." Nami said but still no reply at all. So she started counting and prepared herself to kick the door. Hopefully, Franky wouldn't questioned her too much when she asked him to fix the door later.

The door opened with a loud bang. Nami's caramel eyes immediately scanned the room just to find nothing. Just like what she thought.

"MONKEY D. LUFFY!!!!"

"Achoo!" Luffy rub his nose and tighten his jacket. Since he had never slipped out this early in the morning he didn't expect the wind would be this cold. The sound of wave slapping the cliff calmed his raging mind. The conversation yesterday afternoon was still fresh in his memory. Although he barely heard what his Father said to him after that shocking order, Luffy somehow could hear that he and that old man will go back to this 'Samurai Kingdom' at the end of this week, and that's meant 2 days from now on.

"Why..." Luffy sighed. He looked up and saw the vast blue sea. It had been his dream to travel around the world, with his own ship and his own crew. And they would go exploring every inches of the world, finding all the treasures hidden by the earth. Long time ago he and Ussop and Chopper even tried to build their own ship, or it should be called raft remembering how small the size were. Luffy still had the drawing back in his room, deep inside his messy wardrobe. Well, would be kind of hard to search for it now though...

"Where are we going, Luffy??" A tiny brown haired boy trailed behind 2 taller boys.

The boy with straw hat on his head turned back and gave the tiny boy a big smile, "Don't you want to see the sea, Chopper?"

Chopper almost choke to death. "What?! Seriously, Luffy, that isn't a funny joke!" But the ravenette boy in front of him kept smiling, not laughing. Well, it kinda meant that Luffy was serious this time. "But, Luffy, you know that I we shouldn't go near the sea, right? Especially without adult around us..."

Luffy pouted, "But, you know that today would be the last time I could go swimming, right, Chopper? I wouldn't want to miss this chance..." Chopper wanted to complain more, but Luffy cut him short, "And we even had Ussop with us... He is the best swimmer. And he is not part of the curse thing, so sea doesn't hate him, or something like that... Just chill out, Chopper..."

"But, Luffy..."

"Maybe we should just go home like what Chopper say, Luffy?" The tanned boy said in a shaky voice. Seems like Luffy had forced both of the poor guys to join him.

"Ussop... You had promised me before... True warrior don't back out of his own words... Or you are not a true warrior, Ussop? You are afraid?"

Ussop gulped. "W-who said that I'm afraid? I'm the greatest warrior!" Ussop claimed. "Let's go! Cpatain Ussop will lead you!!"

Luffy laughed, "I'm the captain, Ussop, not you!" The black haired boy said encircling his arms around both his best friend's shoulder. "Now let's go!"

It didn't take that long for the three little boys to sneak out of the castle's gate, as they were too small to be spotted and the fact that the three of them know perfectly where the soldiers were just made it even easier.

"Ahh... Can't believe I won't be able to play inside the sea anymore after this..." Luffy screamed before jumping into the sea once again. His red shirt was already soaked thorough and even letting out a salty smell of the sea.

Chopper, still looked a bit worried, keeping a close watch on Luffy's safety while Ussop kept gasping every time he saw the ravenette dived into the sea.

"L-Luffy... Can't we do something less dangerous?" Ussop finally mustered up all his courage to call out to the young prince.

"Hah?"

Ussop gulped, but he couldn't risk coming back to the castle without the prince with him, "C-can we design our ship? Yeah! Our ship!" Ussop took out some papers and crayon that somehow he put into his bag randomly this morning.

Luffy looked hyped up with the idea that he immediately ran out from the sea and joined both of his friends.

"What are you drawing, Luffy?" The brown haired boy tried to take a sneak peak toward the prince's drawing, but Luffy's hands successfully made Chopper's attempt fail.

Luffy shook his head, "Nuh-uh... Wait 'till I finish then I'll show you, Chopper!" Luffy took another crayon and started scribbling once again. He was so excited. It wasn't a secret anymore, especially toward his friends, that Luffy's biggest dream was to travel all around the world with his own ship and his loyal crews. But, no matter how hard he showed his resolution toward his Father, Shanks would always laughed and ruffled Luffy's messy hair while saying how small Luffy were for the world.

Just wait, Shanks! I'll absolutely be a super great man that you will ask to be part of my crews one day, Luffy thought.

"I'm finished!" Ussop shouted showing off his neat and beautiful drawing of a big ship with hundreds of canon on the side of the ship. Luffy laughed. That ship was exactly Ussop's ship. With his sniping ability even in young age, for sure Ussop gonna be the best in the world when he got older, and that kind of ship would surely need someone like Ussop to lead it.

"It's great, right, Luffy? I'll shoot down all the enemy's ship and sunken them down the sea!" Ussop laughed, slightly letting his nose hang a bit higher in the air.

Luffy looked toward the still quiet caramel haired boy who tried hard to hide his drawing. Well, Luffy didn't miss the chance to snatch away the drawing from the little boy though.

"Luffy! Give it back..." whined Chopper, but Luffy ignored it and started observing the ship that Chopper drew.

It wasn't as neat as Ussop's, but it didn't lose in prettiness. In fact, Chopper ship was even prettier than Ussop's. It had the feeling of gracefulness with the mast in cherry blossom design. "It's pretty, Chopper!" Luffy said with a smile as he gave back Chopper drawing.

Chopper blushed instantly with Luffy's praise meanwhile Ussop still bragging about how awesome his drawing was.

"How about yours, Luffy?" Chopper asked after he could control his red cheek. Somehow Ussop had stopped bragging and join their conversation.

Luffy looked down. The picture was almost crumpled in his hand. He opened it slowly and started observing it once again. The mast of his ship was big and strong. Except for the lamb design on the front side of the ship and an orange tree growing above the cabin, it was almost like the normal ship in their country.

"Here!" Luffy showed his picture, hoping to get any feedback from his friends. But nothing.

"Hey... Say something... Is it that bad?"

Both Chopper and Ussop shook their head. "It's awesome, Luffy! I... I think that would be great if we could all sail on that ship!" Chopper said enthusiastically.

"Yeah! With that ship I'll be the greatest Captain ever!" Ussop said.

"No... This is my ship, so I'm the Captain..." Luffy said with a big smile on his face.

"No... I'm the captain!!" Ussop grumbled.

"No... I am!"

Now the little Chopper was stuck between the 2 taller boys fight. Both still shouting that they would be the captain and if they didn't stop soon, Chopper couldn't guarantee the safety of his ear drum.

"Etto..." Chopper mumbled.

"What?!" Both the boys shouted at the caramel haired boy.

A cold sweat dripped on Chopper's cheek, "H-how about w-we try to build it? Yeah... Build it?"

Chopper gulped afraid that both his friend would beat him up for saying something stupid, he kinda doubt they would beat him, but still...

"That's..." Ussop voice sound trembling.

"But if you don't like it we can..." Chopper couldn't finish his sentence as both his friend jumped up and started running toward the opening, "Huh?"

"What are you doing Chopper?" Luffy screamed, "If we don't start now, we wouldn't be able to finish it before we are found out..." The young prince smiled brightly at the young doctor-to-be.

"Thanks Luffy..."

"Come on, Chopper! We can't lose to Ussop!" Luffy started looking around. Well, it won't be hurt to play around a bit, thought Chopper as he started to follow Luffy.

"Hey! What is that?!" Ussop scream stopped the other 2 boys from digging out a buried log.

"What is it Ussop?"Luffy asked. The tanned boy pointed out to the sea direction. At first, Luffy couldn't see anything, but after he looked closer he could see a green object floating on the sea. "What is that? Is that sea monster?"

"Wha?!" Ussop gasped trying to stop the ravenette from doing whatever he was thinking. Though, he was too late as the young prince has once again jumped into the sea.

It was kind of hard, since the green object was far from the shore and Luffy's family curse didn't help him at all. Luckily, he was the best swimmer in his family, well mostly because the fact that he hadn't really got tangled by the curse and the fact that he trained hard to swim despite knowing he wouldn't be able to do it anymore when the curse work no matter how expert he became. As he swam closer to the mysterious object, Luffy could see what he wanted to save. It wasn't a sea monster, sadly, but a boy?

Don't go near it...

Luffy's instinct told him to not swam any closer, that he only came closer to danger if he risk to continue swimming. But his curiosity is even bigger than his sense of danger. He just wanted to know. Who was that boy? What was he doing? And the fact that he had a strange bright green hair color just made all the other thing unimportant... Luffy needed to save that boy.

The boy was now in a length distance from Luffy. The ravenette could see the stranger face clearly now. The green haired boy was floating on a wooden plank, unconscious. He had a tanned skin, not as tanned as Ussop but a golden honey healthy tan. This boy must like to do outdoor activities rather than an indoor one. With a swift stroke, Luffy was right beside the green haired boy now. His hand gripped the stranger tightly.

"Oiii, Luffy!!" Luffy yelped, almost releasing the green haired boy in the process. Thankfully he could quickly reach out to the other boy's hand and putting him up on the plank once again. "I'm alright! And it's not a sea monster, it's a boy..." Luffy shouted back. Luffy looked at the unconscious boy, it would be bad if that happened once again, he had to wake this green haired boy

Luffy lightly slapped the stranger, "Oi... Wake up..." He screamed right on his ear. The stranger might get an earache later, but that would still be a lot better than being drown to death. "OIII!!! WAKE UP!!" Luffy screamed and pinched the boy's cheek instead of slapping him now.

"Ngrhh..." The boy groaned. Luffy pinched his cheek harder and screamed louder now. "Stop screaming in my ear!" The stranger grumbled loudly. His golden beads locked with Luffy's obsidian black beads. For instance, Luffy saw the most beautiful color in the world. It were sparkling under the sunlight, like it were the sun itself. Shining brightly captivating Luffy's gaze so much that he couldn't stop gazing.

"Who are you?"

Luffy was too mesmerized that he even almost forgot his own name, "I'm Lu—!" Luffy gasped, his feet felt cold and stiff. He couldn't move them anymore now. The next moment, Luffy could only sea blue, blue everywhere...

It was dark...

It was cold...

Luffy never thought that sea was this scary.

No matter how hard he tried to move his hand to grasp upward, but he kept going down and down toward the dark abyss. Was this the end of his life?

He looked up and saw a faint green. It started going bigger and bigger. Oh yeah, he hadn't told that stranger his name. He hadn't known that stranger name himself. He hadn't built that ship with Chopper and Ussop. He hadn't sailed the sea with his nakamas. He hadn't seen the world beyond his kingdom.

Too many things he hadn't done. Would all those things be things he couldn't done now?

As he stopped struggling and letting the sea determined his fate, a pair of strong hands grabbed his own hand. It was gentle and warm, just like the sun itself. He felt his body shook violently keeping him from trying to give up. Luffy could feel his lungs screamed madly demanding for fresh oxygen instead of water.

"Breath..." A low voice whispered gently right beside Luffy's ear. His heart beat immediately accelerated and his cheek blushed furiously, luckily Luffy could take a deep breath of fresh air. The next minutes were filled by Luffy trying to satisfy his lungs and calmed his raging heart beat.

"Are you okay?" The green haired stranger asked shocking Luffy. He looked up and saw that pretty pair of golden eyes. The sea was scary, and that drowning experience sure was terrible, but that pair of warm hands and eyes saved him.

"Thank you..." Luffy said with genuine gratefulness. He smiled as big as he could to the stranger just before he lost his consciousness.

"Oi... Oi..."

Luffy groaned. That voice... It was deeper now, but he was sure it was the same voice. Where had he heard it before? It felt totally familiar but he couldn't remember where he had heart it before.

"Oi... Wake up..."

"Who are you? Do I know you?" Luffy said still half asleep.

The voice let out a crisp laugh. "Are you still not awake, kid?"

Luffy jerked up, completely awake now, "Zoro!" he yelled unconsciously and shut his mouth with both his hand immediately. This quick movement made his stance unsteady, making him slip and almost feel head first into the sea. If it were some years ago before his curse worked, he wouldn't even care to dive into the sea, but now, diving into the sea meant Luffy was searching for his final word.

The memory from that day, when his curse worked on him for the first time haunted him once again. He didn't want to experience it again. Even if his Father had robbed him off his freedom, it didn't mean he had to give up.

"Luffy!!" Zoro's yell rang on his ear. Somehow, it made his heart race uncontrollably. Like he had waited for Zoro to really call him with his name instead of 'Kid'. No... He had waited for even longer time... Yeah. He hadn't heard that green haired boy from before to call him by his name.

A pair of warm and gentle hands wrapped around his arm. Exactly the same warmth and gentleness as the boy from before. Was Zoro? Was he...

"Oi! Wake up! Luffy! Wake up!!" A violent shook accompanied by loud yell. Luffy coughed and spit some salty water that he had accidentally drank while he almost drowned.

"Z...or...o" Luffy muttered. A golden eye stared at him, worry obvious in it. Even if it was clouded with worry, it was still twinkling under the sun light, just as pretty as that of the boy from before. "Thank...*cough*you..." A big smile found its way to Luffy's face.

"Have I met you before, Zoro?" Luffy asked, his voice was trembling as he put all his effort so he could say it clearly. His energy was drained from making contact with the sea, but he couldn't afford to lose this chance. He had to make sure... He had to know whether Zoro was that boy that saved his life or not...

Whether Zoro was his first love or not...
