Previously on Chapter 53

Exhaustion starts to consume me. Cedric notices it. He slowly move his body to laying position. He turn to look at my Uncle. "May I stay here?" He said. In which he gets a nod in return. I just clutch his torso and close my eyes. Then I slowly drift off to sleep.

-Going to Cedric's House-

Y/N P.O.V

I decided to wear a thin scarf from now on. So no one would see the chain tattoo around my neck. I don't want them to start questioning about it.

Today, as promised with Cedric. I'll be going with him to his house, because his dad wishes to spend some time to get to know me. According to what Cedric told me... his dad adored me a lot because I saved his son's life.

I've packed my stuff since 3 days ago. Right now I'm just making sure I don't leave anything behind, I will be spending the rest of the break with Cedric's dad and the rest of his family. Then we'll go straight to Hogwarts after the break is over. Well, Uncle Macon assured me that if I ever leave anything behind I can just owled him to send it to me.

I'm standing in by the door, with my luggage in my hand. "Make sure to owl us every chance you get... okay?" My uncle said. "Of course, Uncle..." I said. He smiles at me and frown as his eyes travel down to my neck which is covered by a scarf.

I lift my hand and cover it from him. He looks back at me and smile softly. "We'll find a way out of it. I promise, okay?" he said. "I trust you, Uncle..." I said. He pulls me into a hug and I wrap my arms around his torso.

He pulls away and turns to look at Cedric. "Can I trust you that you will take care of her?" He said. "Of course... I'll never let bad things happen to her. She means everything to me. You can trust me, uncle... I give you my words..." Cedric said, wrapping an arm around my waist. Uncle Macon nods his head in satisfaction, smiling at him.

"Bye, Uncle..." I said. Then we turn around and walk away from the mansion. I call for a cab. Cedric helps me with my luggage. Then we get inside the cab. I turn my head to look at Cedric. He told the driver where to go.

Time-skip

After the cab we take the train. Now we just have to wait for the train to reach the station. I stare out the window, watching as the beautiful scenery passed by while I have my head on Cedric's shoulder. He have his arm around mine, holding me protectively.

"Baby..." Cedric said. "Yeah?" I said, pulling away to look at him. He turns to look at me. Then he glance down at the scarf around my neck. He lift his hand and place it on the scarf, pulling it off. There's only two of us... so I allow him.

His eyes held sadness as he looks at the tattoo on my neck. "Cedric..." I said, placing my hand on his cheek to make him look at me. "It's okay... I'm going to be okay..." I said. "It's all my fault... if only I never came to you... never asked you for the ball... you wouldn't end up this way" he said. I frown at what he said. He thinks it's his fault? No... if anything... I'm grateful to have him and can't imagine my life without him.

I place my finger on his lips. "Shh... don't say that. The time we shared means the a lot to me. I can't even imagine myself without any of it. You've taught me how to love again, Cedric... so don't say that okay?" I said, in a very soft tone as if I'm talking to a little baby.

He leans his forehead against mine. "I love you, Y/N..." he said. "I love you too..." I said, smiling softly at him. He leans down, placing a soft kiss on my lips. I slowly wrap my arms around his neck, running my hand through his hair softly.

He pulls away and holds me close. "I won't stop at nothing to free you from this curse. I will free you... I swear on everything I have to offer..." he said. I just stay silent and snuggle closer to his chest.

"We're almost there..." Cedric said. I turn my head to look out the window as well. I can see the station in front of us. Soon enough the train slows down. I turn to Cedric.

He smiles at me and gently wrap the scarf around my neck once again. He give me a soft peck on my lips, cheeks, and forehead. His gesture makes me giggle softly.

Soon the train came to a stop. I stand up from the seat and Cedric do the same. He pulls our trunk off the racks. I grab mine and he holds my free hand. I smile and lightly squeeze his hand. Then we walk out of the train.

"Cedric!! Y/N!!" I hear someone said. I turn my head to the sound and sigh, seeing all the reporters. I just force a smile. They continue to snap some pictures of us, as we try to make our way through.

"My... aren't you two famous?" A new voice said. I turn my head to the sound to see Amos Diggory. I let out a chuckle as we walk towards him. Cedric hugs his father.

"Hello, Mr. Diggory..." I said. "Please, dear... just call me Amos" he said. "Okay... Amos" I said. He smiles at me. "Now come on... let's head home. I'm sure the two of you are tired from the long journey..." he said. We just nod our heads and follow him. He leads us to his car.

I take a seat in the back seat, while Cedric sits with his dad in the passenger's seat. "Are you all set?" He said, looking at me through the rearview mirror. I smile and nod my head. "Excellent!" He said. Then he starts to drive. I lean my head against the window and looks out.

I wince when the tattoo around my neck start to burn slightly. I bit my lips, trying not to make a sound. I hold my neck, trying to ease the pain. I glance at Cedric as he starts to talk with his dad.

I shut my eyes, tears stream down my cheeks a little. 'Don't make a sound, Y/N... don't make them worry about you. You're stronger than this...' I keep saying that to myself.

Cedric P.O.V

I turn my head slightly to look at Y/N. She have her eyes close. Her hand is on her neck. Pain is written on her face. I bit my lips. She can't know I know she's hurting. She's going to feel sad.

"Is there something wrong?" My dad asked. I turn to look at him and shake my head, while faking a smile. He nods his head and focus on the road. I just turn my head to look out the window as a tear escape my eye.
