Previously on Chapter 52

"Y/N... are you okay?" I said. She didn't answer. She just stare at me weakly. Then her eyes roll back and she fall limp on my arms. "Y/N... hey! Wake up!" I said, but she didn't budge. I bit my lips in worry as my eyes travel back to the weird tattoo around her neck.

What is that?

-What's Happening To Me?-

Y/N P.O.V

I open my eyes and realize I'm inside my room. I let out a soft groan of pain as my neck ache a little. I try to sit up, but someone holds my shoulder and gently push me to lay back down.

I turn my head to see Cedric. "Lay down... you just woke up..." he said. He kneels on the bed and holds my hand. "What happened?" I said, my voice sound hoarse.

Cedric reaches over and grab a glass of water. He sits on the edge of the bed and help me sit up a little to drink. I take a sip from the glass, sighing as my thirst disappear.

He place the glass back on the bedside table. He turn to look at me and gently place his hand on my head, caressing my hair softly. I just stare at him, waiting for him to tell me what actually happened.

"I don't know what happened. You suddenly collapse and start to scream... there's..." he said. "There's... what, Ced?" I asked. "There's a tattoo appeared on your neck..." he said. "Wait... what?" I said. "Hold on... let me grab a mirror for you..." he said. He grab the mirror from my dressing table and walks back to me.

I take the mirror from his hand and take a look. My eyes widened when I see there is indeed a tattoo on my neck.

"H-How..." I stuttered out. "I don't know, Y/N..." he said, looking at me with worry in his eyes.

The door to my room opens. I turn my head to see Amma. I look at her in confusion. She never step a foot in Ravenwood territory.

"Amma? You're here? I thought..." I started. She just smiles at me and sits on the bed. "Ever since what happened to your sister, Lena... a lot of things  have changed. There's no such rule anymore. I can come to the Ravenwood house anytime..." she said. "Oh..." was all I could say.

"Why are you here though?" I said. "Your uncle call me. He said you came back and something happened to you... he asked if I could check up on you..." she said. I turn to my Uncle who's standing by the door.

"What's going on uncle?" I said. "Just trust her, Y/N..." he said. I just let out a sigh and turn to Amma. She walks towards me and looks at Cedric. He got the picture and stands up. Amma took his place on the edge of the bed.

She lift her hand and place it on my neck. She closes her eyes. I can feel something emitting from her as she try to communicate with her ancestors. I furrow my eyebrow as I watch her. I can see her lips moving slightly, but no words came out.

She opens her eyes and looks at me with a serious expression. "My dear, Y/N... you've been marked" she said. "Marked? W-What do y-you m-mean m-marked??" I said, looking at her in confusion. "It means... you've been cursed. The talisman you've created to protect this boy demands a prize. Your own soul!" she said. My eyes widened at what she just said.

"You mean I'm going to die?" I asked. "No... but you will live a life full of misery" she said. "Is there a way to break it?" I asked. "Only one way... and only YOU can do it..." she said. "Well... what is it?" I said. "You have to take his life!" She said, turning to point at Cedric. Cedric's eyes widened when Amma said that.

"What??" I yelled out. "That's the only way for you to free yourself from this curse, Y/N. As you made this talisman to protect the boy. He was meant to die that night but you reverse his faith. That's why you have doomed your own life!" She said, I can tell from her eyes that she wasn't joking around.

I shake my head. "No... no way!! I'm not going kill Cedric. I can't even thought of hurting him! There has to be another way!" I said, tears starts to stream down my cheeks.

Amma give me a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry... but there isn't another way... you have to kill him if you want to free yourself. It can't be other people. If other people try to kill Cedric and succeed... both of you will lose your life's. Only YOU can do it to free yourself" she said. I keep shaking my head as heavy starts streams down my cheeks like a waterfall.

"NO!! I'm not going to do that!" I yelled out. Cedric rushes towards me. He pulls me into a hug. I clutch onto the front of his shirt desperately. I start to cry harder. Cedric just holds me tightly in his embrace. He caress my hair, trying his best to calm me down.

"Do it, Y/N..." he whispered. "W-What?" I said. He pulls away from me. "Kill me..." he said. "What are you talking about, Ced?" I said. "You have to kill me" he said. "No way! I'm not going to kill you! Let alone hurt you! I can't do that, okay! I refuse to do that. I'm stronger than I look. I can handle this curse... we can find another way to free myself!" I said.

"If you don't kill me, you'll suffer Y/N! I can't bare seeing you to be in pain. So just kill me... then you'll be free..." he said. I shake my head. "No! I'm not going to, Ced! I'm never going to kill you! I refuse to do that... and that is final!" I yelled at him, tears streams down my face once again. He lets out a sigh, knowing he can't argue with me about it.

"I love you, Cedric... I can't lose you..." I said, crying harder. "I love you too, baby... I'll help you find a way..." he whispered. I can feel him placing a soft kiss on the side of my head. I bury my face into his chest. He just holds me closer, trying his best to give me comfort.

Exhaustion starts to consume me. Cedric notices it. He slowly move his body to laying position. He turn to look at my Uncle. "May I stay here?" He said. In which he gets a nod in return. I just clutch his torso and close my eyes. Then I slowly drift off to sleep.
