Previously on Chapter 46

"You did it, Ced..." I said. "I did it... I win..." he said, smiling happily. I grin at him and he pulls me closer. I lean my head against his chest, smiling happily that he won.

-Nightmare and Comfort-

Y/N P.O.V

We head back to the school ground. Cedric have his arm around my shoulder as we walk along the school corridor. I wrap my arm around his waist loosely. He turns to looks at me and smile.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I said. "You're beautiful..." he said. I blush at his comment. He let out a chuckle at my reaction. "And cute too" he said again. "Okay... stop!" I whined. He just chuckled and place a soft kiss on the side of my head.

We make our way to the Dining Hall as it now dinner time. Cedric place a tender kiss on my cheek, then head over to the Hufflepuff table. I smile as I watch him instantly getting engrossed in talking with his friends, mostly them congratulating him on winning the 2nd task. He turns to me and wink. I blush and make my way over to the Gryffindor table and take a seat next to Harry.

"Hey guys..." I said. "Hey, Y/N" Hermione said with a smile. "Hey..." Harry said. "Hello" Ron said. I start to scoop up some f/f into my plate and start to eat. I can feel eyes on me. I turn my head across the table to see Draco looking at me. Looking at him right now reminds me of our brief exchange back at the Ball.

Can't you see? I love you, Y/N! Why can't you just look at me! His voice echoed in my head. I just snap out of it and looks away from him. I look down at my food, feeling my appetite have vanish. I let out a sigh and stand up.

"You're done already?" Ron said. "Yeah, I'm already full... we still have an hour and a half before curfew... so I'll take a walk around... see you guys back at the common room..." I said. They nod their heads. I just smile at them and head out of the Dining Hall.

I stop by a tree I've always been sitting around and sit down. I lean my back against the tree and stare into the distance. The twinkling stars of the night makes the water in the lake looks more beautiful.

I hear footsteps coming closer towards me. I turn my head to see the least person I want to see. "Draco..." I said. He stops once he's standing in front of me.

"Y/N..." he said. I look away from him. "Why are you here?" I said. "I found this place first..." he said. I let out a sigh. Typical Draco... of course he'd claim this place.

"Then you can have it... I'm leaving... goodnight" I said. I stand up and was about to walk away. But before I could take a step away, I feel a hand grab mine.

"You don't have to leave..." he said. "Look... I'm not going to lie. You're the last person I want to see right now. So I'm going..." I said. He just turns me around and keeps his hands on my shoulders.

"Draco... let go" I said. "No" he said. He take a step forward, making me step backwards. I feel the tree on my back, letting me know I can't back away any further.

"Move away!" I said, in a stern voice. "No..." he said. "Draco... you can't be doing this. I'm with Cedric..." I said. "I know... but I don't care..." he said. He leans closer to me. No... this is wrong.

I use all my strength and push him away. I run away, ignoring his yell for me to come back. I already have a boyfriend. I don't wanna betray Cedric. I love him.

After a while of running I finally reach Gryffindor house. I say the password and head inside. I head straight to my room and lay down. I let out a sigh as I stare at the ceiling. I turn to my side and let myself drift off to sleep.

Dream

I'm in a place. It looks like a tomb. Why am I here? I look around the place. Then my eyes landed on two figure.

Cedric and Harry. They're looking at a certain way. I turn to where they're looking to see a man. Peter Pettigrew, holding a small figure. Who looked like he's dying. Who is he? Why is Peter holding him and why does Harry looks so scared?

I try to say something, but my voice is gone. "Who are you and what do you want?" Cedric said, with his wand pointed at the man. But the man just keep his eyes on Harry.

"Kill him now!" The small figure said. Peter points his wand at Cedric. "Avada Kedavra!" He said. I watch as Cedric's body got hit by the spell and got thrown back.

He lay on his back, I watch as the light leaves his eyes. I scream but no sound came out.

End of Dream

"No!!!" I screamed, sitting up. I breathe heavily as I realize I'm in my room. That was only a dream. No... it was a nightmare. I watched Cedric die.

The door to my room opens to reveal Hermione. She have a concern look on her face. "Are you okay, Y/N? I heard you scream..." she said. I just nod my head. "I just have a nightmare... I'm okay..." I said. "You wanna talk about it?" She said. I shake my head. She nods her head and walks over to me, engulfing me in an embrace.

"Calm down, okay? Try to get some sleep... it's still night time" she said. I just nod my head. She pulls away and smile at me. Then she turns around and leave my room.

The Next Day

I speed walk down the hall, desperate to see Cedric. I need to see him. I need his comfort. The nightmare I had last night really shaken me.

I enter the Dining Hall, eyes instantly look over to the Hufflepuff table trying to look for my boyfriend. It didn't take long for me to spot him, he's sitting with his friends and laugh along with them. I feel
instant relief spreading through me, knowing he's alright.

One of his friend nudge Cedric and points at me. He turns to look at me. A smile appear on his face. But he frown when he notice the sadness in my face. I can feel tears starts to pool up in my left eye, as my right eye is still covered in my black eyepatch. Then I quickly start to speed walk towards him.

He stands up. "Y/N? Are you okay?" He said, I can hear the worry in his voice. I didn't answer him and run towards him. I wrap my arms around his torso. He stumbles a little, but manage to steady himself. I start to cry, which confuses him even more.

Cedric P.O.V

My friend nudge me. I turn to look at him and he just points at a certain direction. I turn my head to see my girlfriend. I smile at the sight of her. She's not smiling back, instead I can see her eyes become teary as she looks at me.

I stand up and ask if she's okay, as she speed walk towards me. Then she starts to run and wrap her arms around my torso. This makes me confuse, but I wrap my arms around her anyway. She seems very upset about something... but what?

I notice everyone staring at us. I pull away slightly and scoop her up in my arms. She wraps her arms around my neck. She bury her face in the crook of my neck, still crying.

I walk out of the Dining Hall. I take her to the garden and take a seat on the bench. I keep Y/N in my arms. I caress her hair softly, trying my best to calm her down.

"Are you going to tell me what's wrong?" I said, once she calmed down. She pulls away slightly and I can see her puffy and teary eye. The sight made my heart clenches.

"I... had a nightmare..." she said. "What's it about?" I said. "You..." she said. I furrow my eyebrows and ask her to tell me. I stay silent as she told me what she saw in her nightmare. Which is about me getting killed by an unknown figure.

By the end of it, she starts to cry again. I just pull her closer. She leans her head on my chest. "It's okay... it's just a nightmare. I'm going to be fine..." I said. She just stay silent and continue to cry softly. All I can do right now is try my best to calm her down.
