Harry P.O.V

Y/N looks so beautiful. I wish I asked her to the Ball. But I don't have the gut. I glance at her date to see she's going with Cedric. At least it's not Malfoy. But still... I can't stand seeing her with another guy. If only I was brave enough, she would stand by my side and not Cedric's.

-The Yule Ball: Part 2-

Y/N P.O.V

We walk towards the center of the hall and starts to dance. Lucky for me, I took dance classes. So I know what I'm doing.

I place my hand on Cedric's shoulders as he lifts me up. He place me down and twirl us around. He smile softly at me. "You're really good..." he said. I smile at him.

"Thanks... I guess all those dance classes really paid off..." I said. He just chuckles at me. Soon the song ended. We bow at each other and he place a soft kiss the back of my hand.

"I'm going to go get us some drink..." he said. I nod my head, making him smile. He leans down and place a soft kiss on my cheek. Then he walks away. I smile happily.

Cedric really is a good person. I feel happy around him. He's being patient and gentle with me, because he knows what happened to me. I can feel his love and care.

I stand there, waiting for Cedric to come back. I hear footsteps coming closer to me. I turn my head to see Draco. He looks at me with a scowl on his face. I just sigh and turns around to leave him.

He grabs my wrist, making me turn to look at him. I wait for him to say something, but he just holds my wrist and stare at me. I raise an eyebrow at him.

"Look... if you don't have anything to say. Leave me alone. I'm waiting for Cedric..." I said. "He's all you care about..." he said, in a low voice. "What are you even talking about?" I said. "You don't care about me?? I was there for you, Y/N... I was there for you longer than he ever have! You two just know each other, yet you go to him!" He said, raising his voice slightly.

"Can't you see? I love you, Y/N! Why can't you just look at me!" He yelled. "Draco..." I said, looking at him wide-eyed. He looks back at me with hurt in his eyes.

Why haven't I seen it before? The way he looks so happy when his father claimed that we're engaged. The way he always pressed that I'm his fiancé... while all I've been doing is dismissing it.

All this time... I thought that he was only trying to obey his father. But now I see the truth. He's being genuinely happy and it's because he feels something for me.

Draco take a step forward, making me step back. He lifts his hand as if he wants to cup my cheek. But before he could do so, someone push him away. I turn my head to see Cedric.

"Keep your hands off her... she's here with me... not you" he said, glaring at Draco. Draco just looks at me one last time. He turns around and leave. I can see the glistening of tears in his eyes. Wow... I feel so bad now.

Cedric turns to look at me. "Are you okay? Did he do something to you?" He said. "No..." I said, smiling at him. He smiles at me and offers his hand. I place my hand on top of his.

He leads me to the dance floor and we start to slow dance. I wrap my arms around his neck. We sway our body to the rhythm of the music. He have a soft smile on his lips as he looks at me lovingly.

"I mean it when I say I like you, Y/N... will you... give me a chance? Will you be my girlfriend?" He said, looking at me with hopeful eyes. "Cedric..." I start. "Please? Let me prove myself to you. I'm not the same as your ex... just... give me a chance, Y/N..." he pleaded. I stare into his eyes as he looks back at me. I see nothing but sincerity in his eyes.

"Okay..." I said, nodding my head. He smiles happily and gently pulls me into his embrace. I can feel a soft kiss on the side of my head. "Thank you so much, Y/N... I swear... I won't disappoint you..." he said. I just lean my head on his chest.

Time-skip

The Yule Ball finally comes to an end. Cedric place a soft kiss on the back of my hand. He smiles at me. Then he place a soft kiss on my forehead and both of my cheeks. He was about to place a kiss on my lips, but he stops.

"I wanna kiss you... but I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable..." he said. I smile at his caring act for respecting my choice. "It's okay... you may kiss me" I said. He smiles and slowly leans down. I close my eyes and soon feel a soft pressure. I gently wrap my arms around his neck as he wraps his arms around my waist.

He pulls away and smiles softly at me. "I know it's too soon to say this, but I love you... I really do..." he said in a soft voice. I smile back at him. "I love you too, Ced..." I said. The smile on his face widened. He place a peck on my lips and hugs me. I lean my head against his chest. We stay like that for a while.

"Come on... I'll walk you back to Gryffindor" he said. I nod my head. He gently holds my hand. Then we make our way towards Gryffindor house. Along the way, he would sneakily place kisses on my head and cheek. I just giggle each time.

Eventually we reach the Gryffindor house. "This is where I'll leave... because I don't wanna hear the password as it's against the rule..." he said. I just let out a giggle.

"So... I'll see you around?" He said. "See you around, Cedric..." I said. He smiles and leans down, to place a soft kiss on my forehead. "I love you..." he said. "I love you too..." I said. He smiles and wave at me. I wave back and turn to The Fat Lady painting to see her fangirling.

"Uhh..." I said, blushing softly. "Young love! Oh how adorable!!" She said. "Shh!!! Keep it down! Everyone must be sleeping!" I said. She covers her mouth as an attempt to keep quiet. I roll my eyes and say the password. She opens the door.

"You two make a lovely couple" she said, smiling at me. I blush and walk inside. I can hear her laughing, making me roll my eyes. Then I just make my way to my room.

I change into a sleeping attire, washing the make up from my face. Then I lay on my bed. I stare at the ceiling above me. I guess... I have a boyfriend now, huh? It's someone I least expected... and that person is none other than...
