The Xantium

I sat in the seat of the jet across the isle of Sam and Mearing. My arms crossed as I stared out the window. I was trying to stay silent to not draw attention to myself because I knew Mearing and Sam both knew I knew a lot.

"If there is any more you know, anything at all about the enemy's intentions, now is the time to tell." Mearing told Sam...I'm not sure if she was talking to me as well but I wasn't about to look over and find out.

Sam sighed before speaking. "Autobots have no way of leaving this planet."

Not true Sam...not true at all.
I had a feeling that Sam was going to hate me for not stopping any of this but it wouldn't be the first time. I can't stop it anyway...it'd cause suspicious.

"And that is where you're wrong." Mearing told him almost silently.

I took a deep breath that was almost silent itself. I didn't know how all this was going to play out anymore. I couldn't stand, how am I going to run? I sure as hell was going to Chicago with Sam and Epps, there's no question about it.

"It's name is the Xantium. It brought the second wave of Autobots, and it's been under NASA 's care and study ever since. We linked it with a decommissioned shuttle to maintain military control until they're gone." She told us as the jet landed.
I shook my head slowly before turning my head slightly, spotting the watch on Sam's wrist and was glad I didn't say anything earlier. That thing would no doubt have caught what I said and Soundwave would know everything.

Mearing got out first with Sam and I right behind her, Sam helping me. I looked around with a frown once we were outside the jet and beside a black SUV. I was about to ask what we were going to do now when voices caught my attention.

"Gonna be ten thousand pounds of torque on that itsy-bitsy bolt, not nineteen!" Leadfoot called out.

I felt a ping of sadness knowing he'd die in a few years by our own kind...no. Cemetery Wind was NOTHING like us, they weren't human. Not in my eyes.

"You're gonna risk the lives of all me mates! I'll ball ya! You, there-" Roadbuster's voice was dimmed when Mearing spoke again.

"These guys are the Wreckers. They take care of the Xantium. We don't let them off the base much, 'cause they're assholes."

My eyes widened and I turned and glared at her. "Do you know them? I don't think you do, you could care less about them. I could care less about you. Stop talking." I snapped with a glare.

Mearing blinked and looked at me. "Look young lady-"

"Hey...okay. Lets just stop." Sam interrupted. "Come on, lets go see what they're doing over there." Sam slung my arm around him shoulder and began helping me over to the machine the Wreckers and technicians where walking and working on.

I searched and smiled when I spotted Epps walking beside the man Roadbuster and Leadfoot were yelling at.

"You gotta pull that, ya nancy wanker!" Roadbuster told the man.

"It's time to kill him!" Leadfoot spit everyone as he yelled. I scrunched my face up at that.

"-trying to help, you know. Just doing my job." I barely heard the man but as we got closer I could hear the words being said.

"Just calm down. Leave him alone. This is a human being." Epps tried to place peace maker but it didn't work too well, seeing as the Wreckers went back to yelling at other people.

"Epps!" Sam called before walking, while keeping me standing, over to Epps. He had stopped and was smiling, watching us walk over.

"You are ridiculous!" I heard Roadbuster yell before I focused on our conversation.

"Hey Epps." I greet with a smile.

"Is that you?"
I rolled my eyes. Do the stupid questions ever end?
"What are you doing here?"

"What up, guys?" Epps greeted, clapping hands with Sam. Of course this was the moment the watch acted up and shocked Sam, causing him to tighten his hand around Epps'.
"I retired from the Air Force. Can you let my hand go?" Epps twisted his arm down, trying to release his from Sam's. I ended up jumping away from Sam a bit as he was brought down by the motion. "What the hell was that?" He asked before giving me a side hug. He then walked off, looking up at the machine. "Now I just consult to run interference for them."

I looked up as well and hopped forward, trying to keep up. I scoffed when I heard a Wrecker shout back at Epps.

"Well, you're not helping!" Oh Leadfoot.

"No more combat and aliens shooting at my ass. I got a dream job." Epps told us before stopping again. I hopped forward until I was in front of him. Hopping was exhausting, how do kangaroos do it all the time?

"Time to get off this planet." Roadbuster said from a few feet beside us as he caught a large part that someone threw down to him before he walked off. I grimaced slightly but said nothing.

"Pre-flight checks are a go." Leadfoot announced from above.

"Kicking the Autobots out. Can you believe this is happening?" Epps asked Sam before looking at me pointedly. I looked away because I couldn't tell them that I knew because that would result in questions. With that 'watch' around Sam's wrist I can't risk it answering those questions.

"Where do you think it's taking them?" Sam asked Epps since he seemed to miss the look Epps gave me. Good.

"Any planet but here." Epps told him simply before looking up again, I didn't however miss the second sideways glance he sent me. He knew I knew something. There was no doubt about it.

I wish I didn't know anything. I really didn't want to go through getting yelled at by Sam.
