Previously on Chapter 14

Bruno helps me get on the horse as well. I'm surprised the horse can carry the four of us. I let out a yelp when the horse suddenly speeds off. Man... that was close.

-Rebuilding What's Broken-

Y/N P.O.V

I hold onto Bruno's back for dear life, not wanting to fall over the horse back. It would be very painful. I know, because I fell of a horse once before... and it was very unpleasant.

After a while, we finally reach the town. We zoom passed a group of kids, they seem excited when they sees us. "They're back! They're back!" One of the kid said, while hitting a mug.

I get off the horse as they make their way closer to the house ruins. I can hear Julieta calling out for Mirabel. I saw her dad, comes towards them with bees stings all over him.

"There were bees everywhere..." he said. Mirabel place her hand on his cheek. "I'll be okay..." he said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Not if we don't have a house..." Camilo said. Felix nudges him. "What? We don't have a house! I can't say we don't have a house? What is that? Not a house. And Y/N's no where to be seen either" he said. He sounds upset as he said the last part. I feel my cheeks heated up when he mentioned my name.

Mirabel rushes towards me who's standing next to Bruno. She grabs my hands and pulls me along with her. "Mirabel!" I yelped. But she ignores me. I let out a squeak as I stumble a little. I let out a sigh of relief when I manage to steady myself.

Camilo gasp when he sees me. "Y/N..." he said. "Hola, Camilo..." I said, waving awkwardly. He shakes and rushes towards me. He pulls me into a tight hug. I just hug him back.

Look at this home
We need a new foundation
It may seem hopeless
But we'll get by just fine

Mirabel starts singing. We gather in front of her. Camilo holds my hand in his, as if he's scared I'll run off. His gesture makes me feel warm in my heart. I guess I am falling for him. But I don't know if he feels the same way.

Look at this family
A glowing constellation
So full of stars
And everyone wants to shine,
But the stars don't shine, they burn
And the constellation shift
I think it's time to learn

Abuela walks up to her, with a sad smile. She reach out and holds her hand.

And I'm sorry I held on too tight,
Just so afraid I'd lose you too

She moves aside as Bruno comes to view. Julieta and Pepa gasp at the sight of their brother. Abuela walks up to Bruno and holds his hand.

I just smile as I watch the triplets siblings reunited. I turn to look at Camilo as he looks confused.

Camilo and his brother sings. I turn to look at Bruno as he looks awkward.

Yeah, there's a lot to talk about Bruno

Bruno suddenly turns hyped as he turns to grab Pepa's hand. He spins her around to Felix and kneels down in front of her.

Pepa, I'm sorry 'bout your wedding
Didn't mean to be upsetting
That wasn't a prophecy I could just

I let out a laugh when he starts singing. He starts to sprinkle... whatever that is over Pepa and Felix. Felix pulls Pepa closer.

The triplets along with Agustin shares a hug. I smile at the sight. Bruno finally able to return home after being in hiding for such a long time.

Dolores knew that he didn't leave. Which kind of making me confused. I mean, she exposed me. She told everyone that she heard what I can do. Then what happened with Mirabel with the vision. How come she didn't say anything about this? Oh well... whatever.

The people in town and the Madrigals decides to work together in rebuilding the Casita. Of course, I wanna help as well. Actually, I offered that I can just draw the whole building, but Mirabel said no need. She wants everyone to take a part in rebuilding the house... and that's exactly what we are going to do.

"Y/N! Help me with this cabinet" I hear Mirabel calls out for me. "Coming!" I said. I rush over and help her hold it in place, while she use hammer to hit the nails.

I hold the wood, but didn't realize that one of my hand is in the way. So when Mirabel hits the nail, my hand gets pinched by the gap of the cabinet. I let out a yelp as I hold it with my free hand out of pain.

"Oh God, Y/N! I'm so sorry!" Mirabel yelled. "I-It's okay. It's just a little accident" I said. The spot where it get pinched starts to bleed. "Y/N! Oh my God, are you okay?" Someone yelled. I turn my head to see Camilo. He rushes over to me and kneels down. He gently take my hand in his.

"Stay here... I'll be right back, okay?" He said. I just nod my head. He rushes off. I turn to look at Mirabel to see her wiggling her eyebrow as she looks at me. I look at her in confusion.

"What?" I said. "Love is in the air~" she said. "Cut it out, Mirabel..." I said, rolling my eyes. "Just admit it, Y/N. You like him~" she said, in a sing-sang voice. I just roll my eyes.

"Like who?" Someone said. I turn my head to see Camilo. "Oh... we were just talking about how she likes-" Mirabel tries to talk, but I quickly cover her mouth with my uninjured hand.

"It's nothing... she was just messing around..." I said. He just hummed at what I said. He kneels down next to me. "I have to get going... I need to help the others with their work, okay?" Mirabel said. She obviously trying to leave me with Camilo alone. But if I don't let her leave... Camilo will suspect something.

Camilo gently takes my hand in his. He takes out a bottle of ointment, pouring a little amount on a cotton. He turn to look at me.

"It's going to sting a little..." he said. I just nod my head. He smiles at me and gently dap the wound with the cotton. I bit my lips at the stinging feeling. He must have notice because my hand is tensed.

"Sorry..." he said. "It's alright... this is nothing...." I said. He just smiles at me. He continues to treat my wound and wrap my arm in bandage.

"There... it's done..." he said. "Thanks, Camilo..." I said. He smiles at me. We just sit there, staring at each other.

"Alright love-birds. Y/N, you can rest because you're injured. Camilo, don't slack off. Go back to work" someone said. I turn my head to see Pepa. Camilo instantly release my hand at his mom's comment. We look away from each other, blushing deep red.

I clear my throat as I turn to look at Pepa. "Why did you call us love-birds. We're not even together..." I said. "Yet..." she winks at me and walks off. I turn to look at Camilo to see him already looking at me.

"Camilo!" Pepa yelled. "Yes, Mami. I'm coming!" He said. He turns to me and smiles softly. He gets up and walks off. Camilo didn't even like me that way. How can we be together? Wait... why am I thinking about that? I can't possibly like him, do I?? But the rapid beating of my heart told me otherwise... and I can't deny anymore... that I'm falling in love with Camilo. But will he feel the same way?
