Swara tries to remember her past

After reaching the resort, Swara dialed Sanskar's number but the mobile operator said it is switched off. Exasperated she tried five times but still hearing the same response, she threw the phone on the bed and went to have a shower to take in all that Vansh said.

After she came out of the shower, she saw a message from Sanskar asking for the location of the place she is in. She dialed his number after sending the location in WhatsApp. This time the phone rang, but he didn't answer increasing her frustration.

"What will he do with my location? Is he really that angry for me meeting his brother?", thought Swara again dialing his number but still there was no reply.

After 20 minutes, she got a call from the reception of the resort.

"Mam, you have a visitor?"

"Who is it?", asked Swara.

"Someone named Mr. Sanskar Maheshwari", came in the reply.

"What!", exclaimed Swara and without giving any reply, she rushed out. Finding Sanskar waiting near the reception, she went and hugged him immediately.

But before he could respond she broke the hug and started hitting him with her hand.

"What is this Sanskar? Why didn't you answer my phone? Do you even know how worried I was?", shouted Swara and Sanskar could see tiny tears forming in her eyes. Holding her hands he stopped her.

"Isshh Swara, relax. I just wanted to come here to take you back home and if I tell you, you wouldn't have let me come...do you?", asked Sanskar playing cool.

"Of course I wouldn't. I don't want to go back yet. I haven't explored anything", said Swara with a pout.

"Get your bags Swara, we are leaving tonight"

"No, I am not coming", replied Swara freeing herself from him and moving away.

"What's her room number?", asked Sanskar turning towards the receptionist but before she could respond, Swara butted in.

"Sanskar please, now that you are here, we both can have so much fun together. I will ditch my friends and we can roam around the city. Please Sanskar, let's stay", requested Swara, and looking at her pleading eyes, he didn't have the heart to reject her.

"I will be there with Swara anyway so I can take care of Vansh if he tries to contact Swara again", thought Sanskar before giving in to Swara making her squeal with happiness.

Sanskar took another room for himself and went into the resort with Swara.
They both were sitting hand in hand in her room near the window enjoying the view outside. She didn't want to probe anything about Vansh yet in a fear of Sanskar changing his mind. So, she just casually asked about his work.

"What happened to your two shootings which you said will keep you occupied this month"

"What can I do when I have a stubborn girlfriend. I had to let Aman handle it for me", replied Sanskar in a way that she wouldn't feel guilty.

"Awww so you find me stubborn", asked Swara with a pout.

"You know what Swara, you look so cute when you try to act to be angry", said Sanskar pulling her closer. They were lost in each other's eyes when the intercom rang. Swara immediately opened the door understanding it to be the dinner they have asked to be sent into her room. After feeding each other and having lots of talks, Sanskar decided to leave to his room but Swara stopped him.

"My friends haven't returned yet when they come, I will ask them to stay in your room. You can stay here with me"

"No Swara, I will be fine there. Don't worry", replied Sanskar.

"But I don't want you to go away from me", said Swara really wondering for herself that how she always craved some extra time with him even after spending hours together.

"I will be there in the room right opposite to yours. Okay? Now get to bed like a good girl", saying Sanskar took her in his arms and placed her on the bed. He took the comforter and helped her put it on herself. Caressing her hair and kissing her forehead, he wished her goodnight before leaving her room.

Swara just smiled and as soon as she closed her eyes, she got few flashes. Though she was still awake, she felt like she was seeing a dream in which a girl was sleeping on the couch wearing shorts and a crop top. She could see a man lying down on the ground and around him lay few beer bottles. Meanwhile, she found another man coming towards the girl with a blanket. She could see the man putting it over the girl and with half-opened eyes, she identified the man to be Sanskar and as he caressed her hair, she could feel the warmth that made her feel secure. Swara instantly opened her eyes and scanned the entire room but there was no Sanskar.

She just sat on her bed comprehending the recent event.

"This happened before. The girl must be me and the man on the ground must be Vansh", Swara said to herself trying to remember everything she saw. She tried hard to remember beyond it but nothing came to her mind except Sanskar's warm hand on her head before he left her room.

Giving up Swara laid back down trying to get some sleep.

The next morning, after having breakfast in the resort, Swara and Sanskar went shopping to get few casuals for Sanskar as he came to Goa empty-handed in a view to take her back.

Swara tried to buy him some shorts so that he could wear them for the beach but he denied them.

"Swara I am not comfortable in all these. Let me stick to my dressing style", said Sanskar taking two pairs of jeans.

"But Sanskar, they will get wet when we go into the water", Swara tried to explain.

"Doesn't matter", replied Sanskar paying the bill.

Shaking her head in denial, Swara followed him out of the store.

Having delicious seafood for lunch, they decided to go on a crocodile boat trip. After buying the tickets, they got into a boat along with the other tourists. Swara and Sanskar took their seats and were looking around as the boat stood still waiting to be filled.

As more passengers came in and the boat started moving into the waters. In the crowd, Swara spotted Vansh and at the same time, even Vansh saw them and waved at them. He and Kathy walked up to them while Sanskar was getting agitated not wanting to have a conversation with his brother.

"Hey, Sanskar, Good to see you man", saying which Vansh came forward to hug Sanskar but he moved away.

"Swara, let's go on top. I think the view would be great from there", suggested Sanskar turning towards Swara totally ignoring Vansh.

Understanding that he is not welcome, Vansh took his leave.

"Okay, I understand. Have a great time guys. Hope to see you around", saying Vansh and Kathy moved away from there.

Swara and Sanskar were watching out to see if they can spot any crocodiles though they were lost in their own thoughts. Sanskar was thinking of ways to keep Swara away from Vansh while Swara was thinking of ways to unite the brothers.

"Sanskar, I know you are upset with Vansh for stealing money from you, but he is your brother and your only family...you need to forgive him", said Swara not liking Sanskar's ignorance of his own blood.

"Swara, I am not someone who values money above relations. Yes, stealing is wrong but he has all right on my money so I am not upset with him for that. I can forgive him for breaking my trust but he tried to break something more valuable to me", replied Sanskar looking straight.

"What is it Sanskar?", asked Swara not understanding the reason behind his pain which was clearly visible in his eyes.

"You", said Sanskar turning towards Swara. And looking at her confused face, he continued.

"He broke your heart Swara, for that, I could never forgive him", said Sanskar sitting down in his seat and wiping his tears hastily not wanting to break down before Swara.

"Sanskar, I am glad, I and Vansh broke up. If not I would have missed you. Trust me, I am very happy that I am with you", said Swara holding his hand.

"Really? You are happy with me?", asked Sanskar looking at Swara.

"Of course Sanskar, any girl would want to marry a man who respects her, who cares for her, and gives her that sense of security. And with you, I feel so contented and secure. I know that you could never say no to me and you will keep me happy always".

With a smile, Sanskar side hugged her. But breaking the hug, Swara held his hand.

"Now you will forgive him right", asked Swara.

"Swara, can't we just leave this topic"

"No"

Heaving a sigh, Sanskar started.

"Swara, when you and Vansh were in a relationship, I was very happy that at least for you, he will become responsible but I was wrong. I should have warned you that he has had a fling with many girls before as well but I became selfish, I wanted my brother to settle down and have a happy family", saying which Sanskar hit his hand on the wooden wall of the boat. Swara just placed her hand on his shoulder while Sanskar continued.

"Everything was going fine until you wanted to get married but he was not ready. You both used to fight a lot but eventually, you would go to him requesting him to be with you forever. You imagined your entire life with him Swara and his commitment issues started indulging a fear in you that he might leave you and you started being possessive about him which he couldn't take and he ended things between you", sighed Sanskar looking at Swara for any reaction.

Looking at her blank face, he made her look at him.

"Swara, Are you okay? Are you...are you remembering anything?"

Swara thought for some time but shook her head in denial.

"It seems familiar but I don't see it happening to me Sanskar"

Hearing Sanskar smiled.

"It's okay Swara. Do you think it matters now"

"No", saying which Swara hugged him with a smile but she broke it remembering something.

"From when did you start loving me?", asked Swara.

"Well, after your break up with Vansh, you were very depressed. I actually felt guilty for not letting you know about him before itself. I saw that genuinity in your eyes which I haven't seen in any other girl he brought home. So I thought I should help you come out of it so I was there with you when you were visiting your psychologist and I have seen you struggle and cry in pain and I think that's when I realized what I feel for you is more than a girl who lost her love. I just couldn't see you like that Swara and that's when I decided that I will be the one who would give you so much love than you could reciprocate"

"I never thought I would be blessed to get your love back. I am really the luckiest man in the world Swara for being loved by a girl who could fight with anyone to be with the man she loved"

"Stop it Sanskar, you are making me feel shy now", said Swara looking down making Sanskar admire her cuteness.

"Now that you know me before my accident, I wonder our meeting in the rain is just a coincidence", said Swara looking at Sanskar suddenly remembering it.

"It's planned", replied Sanskar taking his time.

"Haww, what else is planned", shouted Swara.

"Shhh Swara, except that everything happened in the spur of the moment", said Sanskar looking here and there not wanting to catch attention.

"Really"

"I swear"

Hearing which Swara smiled.

"I wonder what my mom would say when she gets to know that my ex-boyfriend and my current boyfriend are twins", chuckled Swara keeping her head on his shoulder.

"Actually Swara, she knows that I and Vansh are twins"

"What?", again shouted Swara getting up from her place. In their conversation, they didn't realize when the boat came to a halt and everyone was getting down one by one.

"You guys have put me in the dark till now. This is so unfair"

"Swara calm down. We didn't want you to relieve those sad moments again"

"Oh really, now you told me. Am I sad? No, I am angry"

"Please Swara. We are sorry but trust me we only want to see you happy", said Sanskar calming her down.

"Tell me one thing how does mom know you both"

"Actually you came to our house with your parents to talk about your wedding with Vansh so that was the first time we met but later I had to take her permission to take you to your psychologist. Luckily though she was angry with Vansh, she trusted me"

"Can't believe this much has happened and I don't know a thing"

But before she could continue they heard Vansh's voice.

"Guys, unless you are planning to go on a second trip, you must get down", saying which he waved them a bye before going away with Kathy.

Swara and Sanskar came down and went back to the resort to rest while Swara was silent all the way and Sanskar too gave her time but was always beside her till she slept.

Next morning

"Swara, Are you still upset with me?"

"No Sanskar, it's just that I am trying to remember anything from my past but I couldn't. It's so suffocating."

"Swara, for me can you just let it go. I don't want to see you struggling with yourself. I mean in search of your past, you are not living your present"

"You are right Sanskar, now I have you, and when we can make our future the best, what will I do with my past. Come let's make our future", said Swara getting up from her seat and pulling Sanskar but Sanskar stopped her.

"Can we finish our breakfast?"

"Sure", smiled Swara.

After having breakfast, they both walked down to the beach hand in hand. They settled down in a less populated place and stood there enjoying the feeling of waves splashing water onto their feet. The whole atmosphere of Goa brought them closer.

After a week's stay, Swara and Sanskar came back with so many memories. Sanskar was glad that they didn't get to see Vansh much. Swara and Sanskar's bond grew so strong in Goa that they felt very difficult to stay apart even for few hours so Sanskar spoke with her parents and they agreed only on a condition that Vansh wouldn't return in their lives. Though Sanskar readily agreed to it, Swara had other plans. She was just thinking of a way to invite Vansh to their wedding.

Swara was just waiting for Sanskar to finish his work regarding a new movie he signed. She was just sitting in the hall and scrolling her Instagram feed.

"So sorry Swara, I have to go finalize a budget for a location now. Can't postpone it", said Sanskar hurriedly walking towards her.

"It's okay Sanskar. Call me once it's done", replied Swara with a smile.

"Shall I drop you at home?", asked Sanskar.

"No, I will manage. You go ahead", replied Swara giving him a side hug. After kissing her forehead, Sanskar left in his car while Swara lazily walked out of his house. Just then Aman too came out of the house and he greeted Swara.

"Hey Swara"

"Hi Aman, are you not going with Sanskar?"

"No Swara, actually I have to go Sanskar 's old mansion to go get few things which we left in our last shooting"

Hearing mansion, Swara got excited.

"Can I come and help as well?", asked Swara and Aman reading agreed as he too didn't want to drive alone all the way.

Aman and Swara gelled well right from their first meet and soon everyone started calling them long-lost siblings. They loved to have fun, crack jokes and make noise. They have so many common interests that they never felt at a loss while having a conversation so the two-hour long drive came to an end in no time and as soon as Swara laid her eyes on the beautiful structure, She felt a gush of emotions coming back to her.
She was looking around while her mind kept dictating all about the surroundings.
