Tokoyami POV

" Now how are we going to do this?" It had just occurred to me that my bed was a twin bed meaning that it was way too small for me Hikari and Dāku. "I have an idea what if you two sleep in bed while I sleep on the couch,will that be fine ?"
"It' ok Toko me and Hikari will be fine" Dāku answered while Hikari nodded confidently. "Okay but I'm right down the hall so if you need me just go to me and I'll help you" with that I left towards the couch with a pillow and a blanket in hand.

I had just laid on the couch when I heard someone coming. I looked in the direction of the sound to see Shoji.
"Oh hi Shoji sorry if I startled you" I apologized.
"No it's fine I just came for a glass of water but why are you on the couch?"
"Well me and the kids couldn't all fit in my bed so I took the liberty of sleeping on the couch"
"Oh..."
"But it's fine trust me I've slept on worse" I reassure him.
"Ok but if you guys need anything I ...er I mean we are here for you"
"Thank you Shoji and have a pleasant night''
"Good night Fumikage'' he said as he went back to his room.

After my conversation with Shoji my mind started to wonder. 'Shoji has always been such a good friend to me'
I then started to think about when I first meet Shoji. It was a long time ago even before I went to U.A.
'I wonder if he remembers ?'

-Flashback-

"Happy 14th birthday Fumi !!!'' Dark shadow shouted during breakfast. "Oh yah" I had totally forgotten about my birthday but it didn't matter anyway not like I've really celebrated it before . "Oh come on Fumi let's do something fun it is your birthday after all !!!"
"Dark Shadow what could we possibly do because if you haven't noticed we're kind of broke."
"Well it is going to be Halloween tomorrow so I'm sure we can find something to do around here"
"Well.......why not we don't have anything better to do" I said while standing up
"That's the spirit come on let's go already !!"

I walked on the city sidewalks for awhile until I saw a flier on a market window.

"Look Fumikage that's perfect we should go to that"
"I don't know there will  probably be an awful lot of people there"
'What if F-f-father is there' I scared me just thinking about it
"I-i can't go back to that base-m-ment!!''
"Fumikage calm down just breathe" Dark Shadow said as dragged me to an ally because people were starting to stare.
"M-m-y name i-is Tokoyami" I was hyperventilating
"Calm yourself Fumi deep breaths "
"Toko-Tokoyami iz m-my n-na-me"
"Tokoya-ami"
"Toko-oyami"
"Tokoyami"
Slap
I felt a sharp pain on my cheek
"Fumikage listen to me your not there anymore your safe now ok ?"
"O-okay thank you Dark Shadow"
"Anything for you Fumi now enough of this let's go have fun"
"......Ok"

After my little panic attack we spent the rest of the day looking for food and supplies until it was time.
I started heading towards the park still panicking about all the bad possibilities,but Dark Shadow reassure me that it will be fine and I should loosen up.When we arrived I saw that the park was covered with little huts where people were playing games or eating all types of food. I went to the ticket stand and told the guy that was working there my age so he gave me my 10 tickets.

There where many games scattered around the park like this one game where you pick up a rubber duck from a kiddie pool and that decides what prize you get.
Or this another one where you throw darts at balloons to win all sorts of prizes.
But there was a game that caught really my attention. The point of it was you walk around chairs with numbers on them while music is playing then they call out a random number and if your sitting on the same number they call out you win a dessert of your choice.

"Fumi you should play this every proper birthday needs a cake!!"
"Well I guess I could give it a go" I went to the lady an gave here my two tickets and sat on a chair. The woman announced that the game was about to begin and turned on the music. After about a minute the music stopped and I quickly sat on the chair that was closes to me.
Number 14
"Heh what are the odds"
The lady pulled out a piece of paper from a pumpkin bowl and said "Number 14 !!!"
".........uh that would be me Miss" I said still in shock of my luck.
"Okie dokie go pick a dessert from that table over there" she said as she pointed to the table overflowing with treats.
I glanced at the large verity of baked goods until I saw a cake that caught my eye.
Most of the goods were Halloween theme but this one was a rich dark chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and on top was a frosted red robin.

After winning my cake I spent the rest of the night playing games until it started to get dark. "Welp better get going before you start acting up."
"NO I WON'T !!!"
"It's fine I already want to get back so I could eat this cake"

On the way back I noticed that 3 guys were following me, at first I thought it was just a coincidence but after awhile it was starting to get noticeably. So I started to walk faster and in response they too started to speed up. That's when I started running as fast as I can but these guys didn't seem like they wanted to slow down any time soon. I keep running until I was backed up in a corner of an ally way.

"Um do you guys need something ?" I decided to ask.
"Yah we need something !!!" his voice was rough and clearly mad "You see little birdie that cake you got there is supposed to be mine so if you give it here we won't harm any of your pretty feathers"

'Are they seriously there mad because they didn't get a cake?' I thought 'Well I definitely don't want any trouble for a dang cake, so might as well give it up'
"Don't do it Fumikage that's your prize let me out and I'll teach these wackos a lesson"
'No way I don't want 3 dead bodies in my conscience it's fine it's just a cake .'

"Hey bird brain you better make up your mind or else we'll do it for you"
"Listen I don't want any trouble so here take it"
But just when I was about to to give it to him Dark Shadow shot out of me and hit the guy in the face causing him to get a black eye. "Oh my gosh I'm sorry I er...he didn't mean it."
"You little twerp" he said as he threw a fire ball at me.
Dark shadow dodge the thing but due to the brightness shrunk a bit.
Just then Dark Shadow grabbed the other two guy and threw them to the ground hard and then gripped the throat of the main guy causing him to be lifted up in the air.
"Your quirk's one purpose is to kill anybody in your way and maybe one day ......you "
"Dark Shadow please stop!!!" I screamed
Dark shadow released the guy and then returned into me.
The guy got up left along wit the other two.
"Sorry if I scared you Fumikage"
"It's fine I just got want to get back already"

I finally made it back to the apartment. I started to climb the ladder when all of the sudden I felt a very sharp pain on my shoulder. I looked to see a fire ball sitting there and I quickly tried to put it out. That's when I felt someone grabbed my other shoulder and threw me to the floor. The guy sat on me and twisted my hand to my back immobilizing me.
The guy then started punching me back to back not even giving me a chance to fight.
"Fumikage let me out he's hurting you !!!"
But I couldn't.....
"Leave him alone!!"

Shoji POV

I was heading home from buying some groceries for my parents when I heard something in the ally way.
I saw in my horror to see some guy that seemed to be in his early twenties beating up some poor kid.
At first I thought about telling somebody but that would take too long and it was obvious that this kid didn't have a lot of time. So I didn't something I didn't want to do but I didn't have any other choice.
I turned my all Duplicate Arms into eyes and took of my mask.
"Leave him alone!!" I said in the scariest voice possible.
The guy turned around in horror and ran away from the sight of seeing me.
"Sorry if I scared you are you...... ?" I started to say but when I turned around the kid was gone.
'I hope he's ok' I thought as I cared off by day.

Oh boy this was a long one
Sorry for not updating yesterday life got in the way again but I hope I made it up to you by writing it extra long ^~^
This is probably the longest ever at 1693 words
