Chapter Three
"Lord Megatron", Starscream stutters, his wings twitching with nervousness, not expecting Megatron to appear from the shadows. You smiled at your leader.
"It is good to have you back, my lord", you say with a smile. Megatron smiles at you as well, though it was malicious in nature. You shudder, though it went unnoticed.
"Shall I ready the space bridge for the army you have surely gathered during your three years in space?" Starscream asked, as Megatron walked past you.
"My army shall come", Megatron spoke, merely glancing over his shoulder at Starscream. "But my time away has yielded a more intriguing means of materializing them." He looked at a shard of purple energon in his servo. Your optics widen at it, recognizing it almost immediately, though Starscream did not catch as quickly as you did. "The solidified form of the matter the ancient texts referred to as the Blood of Unicron!"
"Unicron the Destroyer" Starscream murmurs as he walks up to his master's side, you following not far behind. "But it's said that his blood is the anti-spark!"
"Plucked from cosmic shores", Megatron grins. "Gaze upon dark energon!"
You couldn't help but stare at it in worry. You had never liked the idea of an energon that can revive the dead, but now that Megatron had it in his possession... you had no idea what he would do with it.
"Legend tells that it holds the power to revive the dead", Starscream says, studying the dark energon in Megatron's servo before glancing up at his lord and master.
"We require only a cadaver to be certain", Megatron answers. "Are one of you two willing to make the ultimate sacrifice?"
You pause, before glancing at Starscream who was laughing nervously.
"That... may not be necessary", he spoke, before a couple of vehicons arrived with Cliffjumper's body strapped down. "If I may, Lord Megatron." He gestured to a the body. "Consider it a welcome home present."
You winced before turning to Megatron. "Lord Megatron, will it be okay for me to patrol the mines while this... Autobot is used to test the dark energon?"
Megatron nods and you were quick to jump down to the bottom of the mine, and start patrolling one of the lower tunnels. After a while, you were alone, and loosened up a bit. However, it was only a little while later that you heard voices. You paused hiding behind a large box that you guessed was filled with either mining tools or energon. You listened intently and realized that it wasn't voices, it was fighting. You stood and quickly ran for the fight, and soon found the Autobots in the mine. You growled and launched yourself at the nearest one, which happened to be the yellow and black one known as Bumblebee.
"Hey, bug!" you yelled, pulling out your sword. "How bout you pick on someone worth the fight?"
Bumblebee instantly took down the last couple vehicons he was fighting, and pointed his blasters at you. You had a massive stare-down, each of you waiting to take the first move. However, when you saw the anger in his optics, you realized what they were here for. Cliffjumper. His friends had moved on, probably thinking that he could handle you on his own. You sighed, and placed your sword back on your hip. The bugs reaction was one of confusion. He lowered his guns and whirled quizzically at you. You sighed.
"Go with your friends. You'll find Cliff in the large room, though he is dead. Or at least... he's supposed to be... Megatron might have ruined that with dark energon..."
Bumblebee hesitated before transforming and catching up to his friends. You continued walking the mine but soon stopped and rested against the wall. However, when the wall shook, you were instantly up on your feet and ready to go. Your servo was soon pressed against your audio receptor, and you were calling Starscream.
"Brother, what is happening?"
"Megatron ordered me to blow the mines."
Your optics widened. "I'm still in the mine!"
"Get out of there!!" Starscream's voice was filled with worry and you instantly transformed, though it was hard to fly at full speed in the cave system. You saw a ground bridge open almost directly in front of you and you tried to stop but instead transformed and flew through it. You found yourself in the Autobot base, and your optics widened at the shocked expression of the medic as well as three squishies. You instantly got up and tried to run but was stopped by being tripped by an Autobot vehicle. Bulkhead.
Optimus leaped over me and landed on his pedes as Ratchet shut down the ground bridge. Again, you tried to get up and was successful, but you were also instantly restrained by Bulkhead grabbing your arms and holding them.
"Scrap..." you murmured before shaking your head. Now you were really stuck. You figured Starscream thought you dead, especially since you wouldn't be able to contact him while in the base.
"Cutting it a bit close", Ratchet said, turning to Optimus. "How bout Cliffjumper?"
When no one else responded, you spoke up quietly. "Starscream killed him. I was there. It's my fault. And I am terribly sorry. If I just knew-"
"Shut up!" Arcee snapped. "Why should we trust a Decepticon like you?"
You sighed and looked down to the floor. "Because Cliffjumper was the fa- my friend before the war, and I didn't want him to die... And I regret my role in allowing him to be killed by my- by Starscream."
"What is your name, young one?" Optimus asked. You look up at him quietly, before hanging your head.
"My name is (Y/N)", you say.
Arcee was instantly pointing her blasters at you and you sighed yet again. She definitely did not like you. Made you wonder if you had done something to someone she loved. You were also curious to if she knew of your name on Cybertron...
"You're the one that helped Arachnid get Tailgate", she snarled. Your face furrows in confusion. Why would you hurt your friend's brother? Besides, you only did assassinations, not kidnapping. Your processor soon remembers a rumor.
"Aw, Arcee, don't tell me you believed that rumor", you pouted before shaking your head. "I didn't help Arachnid. She's my least favorite 'con. Besides, why would I hurt my friend's brother."
Arcee glared at you until Optimus placed a servo on her shoulder. "Perhaps it would be best to find some place for our guest to stay for a while."
"I can reprogram one of the doors in the far hallway to only open from the outside", Ratchet says, gathering tools to do so. Optimus nodded. "That would be appreciated. In the meantime, we will place (Y/N) in one of the rooms in the far hallway where Bumblebee and Bulkhead will guard her."
You sigh before walking forward as Bulkhead pushes you forward. Bumblebee pulled out his blasters and aimed them at you. You didn't struggle or anything, you just walked forward until you got to a room that you would be in for the time being. Bulkhead pushed you in, where you fell to your knees. You stood and walked over to the wall across from the door. You were surprised however, when Bee walked in after you and Bulkhead closed the door. Bee acted like a guard for a few minutes before relaxing. He quietly whirled and beeped at you.
:Are you alright? Bulkhead didn't hurt you, did he?:
"Why do you care?" Your voice was low and quiet, as to not alert Bulkhead to the conversation.
:You let me go earlier when you could have easily defeated me. I wanted to return the favor by making sure you weren't injured.:
You rolled your optics. "I'm fine, bug. Now leave me be."
:Were you really friends with Cliffjumper before the war?:
"Yes."
:What was he like?:
You sighed and knew that Bumblebee was the good cop before they released the bad cop on you. "Leave me alone, bug. I won't fall for your act."
:Act?: he asked.
"The good cop act. And then Bulkhead is going to be the bad cop", you growled. "Trust me, I know how it works, that's what me and my sisters would do."
Bee let out a startled whirl as he held his servos out and shook them. :I'm not acting! I promise! I really want to know what Cliffjumper was like before the war.:
You rolled your optics again, and stayed quiet. Bumblebee let out a quiet sigh before exiting the room. You heard him softly whirl to Bulkhead before standing guard. You leaned against the wall and closed your optics, trying to rest them a little. It only lasted for a few minutes because soon the door slammed open and you were startled.
"Come on, 'con. Your new cell is awaiting you", Bulkhead growled. You nodded and followed him to the new cell. Bumblebee was behind you, no doubt pointing his blasters at your back. You didn't care. Soon, you came across an open room, and they pointed inside. There was a berth and that was about it. You guessed that you would be quite bored for the duration of your stay.
You walked inside and the door was closed almost instantly. You didn't even bother trying to open the door, just accepting the fact that you were now a prisoner of the Autobots.
