Breakfast Table
9:00 am

Ved, Sash, Jai and Adi were sitting at the breakfast table, waiting for others

Adi and Jai were talking about some political event, while Sash was reading the newspaper and Ved was reading the proposal he was supposed to present today in front of the new investors

Vansh enters fixing his wet hair, dressed in casuals and joins them

'Good morning, Bade papa, Chachu's and Baba Ved...' He wished

They greet him back and Ved looks at him suspiciously

'Baba Ved ?' he asks

'Yes the most saintly man in this planet....' Vansh bows down dramatically making Jai and Adi laugh, Sash chuckle and Ved glare at him

'And what are you...? His evil twin ?' Jai asks

'From the parallel universe..' Vansh grins

'That's my boy.. ' Adi gives him a high five...

'Ha ha ha very funny... ' Ved replies rolling his eyes

'What...? It was a compliment... You know Bro, you are the most pious, decent, well behaved 25 year old I have ever seen... ' Vansh says dreamily, looking at Ved like a fangirl

'Yeah.. The most handsome eligible bachelor in the town... ' Rudra joins them, sitting beside Ved

'Also the most learned man in the house... ' Viraj grins

'What do you guys want...?' Ved looks at them suspiciously

'Nothing..  We were just admiring your qualities bhai... ' Rudra says

'Yes Bhai...  You are my inspiration... ' Viraj smiles

'Spill it already....' Ved says in irritation

They look at each other and gesture Viraj to say it..

'Please take us to the football match...' Viraj pleads

At this Adi & Jai chuckle...

'What match..? And where ?' Ved asks

'India v/s Netherlands at IGI today... ' Rudra informs

Ved narrows his eyes at them and then close the file
'We'll see about it... ' he says

'Yaar... Why are you like this...?' Vansh whines

'I am not denying... I am just saying we'll see about it... ' Ved counters

'That's Papa's way of saying No... ' Vansh huffs

'Vansh.. I am not.... ' Ved sighs

'Don't be a spoil sport Ved, please come with us... ' Vansh pleads

'But I have a meeting.. And also Aayan.. ' Ved says but Vansh cuts him off in between

'Just finish the meeting and come with us please..  I promise to tag Aayan along... If he denies I will kidnap him... ' Vansh grins and Jai chuckles at this

'Why are you trying to please him...? I can understand for these monkeys but why you...?' Adi asks Vansh

'Because he gets the advantage of being the eldest son in the house and he never gets scolded... Also I want to watch this match with him... I want to spend some time with my older brother, It's been years we did something together, we never went out since he returned from the boarding school... ' Vansh says sadly

Ved looks at his twin apologetically and sighs

It's true, that they hardly spent time with each other, after Ved was sent to the boarding school when they were 10, and when Ved returned, because of their different career choices, they were always away from each other..

So Arjun's son's who were inseparable  from each other in the childhood, were like strangers now, because of the misunderstanding

Sash and Adi looked at each other and then at the twins, they felt bad for the brothers and so did Jai...

'Let's go brother... ' Ved smiles

Vansh gets up from the chair and runs towards Ved and hugs him tightly from behind

'Thank you kid... ' He kisses Ved's cheeks and which Ved frowns and others laugh

'Eww... ' he whines and Vansh laughs

'Wow brotherly love after a long time... ' Naina comments keeping the casserole on the table

'I love you Maa... ' Vansh hugs Naina too

'Aww... I love you too my baby... ' Naina hugs him back

'You want something from Maa as well... ' Ved chuckles and Vansh throws table cloth at him

'He is just jealous Maa.. I am your favorite naa.. That's why... ' Vansh grins and Ved rolls his eyes at him

'Both of you are my favorites...' Naina kisses Ved's head and he smiles

'And me..?' Viraj whines

'You are my most cutest baby...' Naina pulls his cheeks and he grins

'Now let me work... ' She asks Vansh to leave her

Vansh leaves his mother and goes to the living room to take the newspaper

'Where is Aayan...?' Sash asks

'He is changing... ' Ved replies

Saanjh and Sayesha take their seats, whereas Deepika was slowly walking towards the table, looking at Ananya's room's direction

When she reached the table, she collides with Vansh, who was engrossed in newspaper walking in the same direction...

'Wooaahh... ' Vansh panics and holds Deepika's hands, preventing her from falling 

'Freaakk... I am so sorry... ' Deepika grasps his hands tightly and balances herself

'Careful both of you... ' Jai said

'It's okay Deepika... ' Vansh ruffles her hairs and instead of leaving her hand drags her towards the table and makes her sit beside him

Ved doesn't react at the scenario, which disappointed Deepika

'Good Morning Jai Uncle, Adi Uncle and Sash Uncle... ' Deepika greets the elders

'Good morning beta... ' Jai and Sash greet her

'Deepika, it's always a pleasure to have you with us beta... You joined us for breakfast after a very long time.... Anything special...?' Adi asks

'I came to pick Ananya uncle, we are visiting a friends house...' Deepika replies and Ved raises his brows at her

'For real... ' She replies to Ved's unasked question nervously

'Where is Ananya ?' Jai asks

'She is changing her clothes...' Deepika replies

'That was quite a stunt, both Ananya and Aayan pulled up this morning... I can't even think of playing with cold water in this chilling month... ' Adi shivers dramatically and Sash hits him

'Both of them are crazy....' Jai said and Ved, Vansh and Deepika control their smiles

Arjun joins everyone at the table and everyone greets him

'Good morning everyone, arre Deepika beta... After a long time... Welcome back... ' he smiles at Deepika

'Thank you uncle... ' Deepika smiles back

'See.. That's why I made you sit beside me, so that for once he smiles looking at my direction... ' Vansh whispers to Deepika at which she controls her smile

'Ahemmm... ' Ved clears his throat, startling both of them

'Don't scare us, Senior Thapar 2.0' Vansh whispers and Deepika finds it difficult to hold her laugh, so she covers her mouth with her hands and Ved glares at him

'Are you okay Deepika...?' Arjun asks Deepika coughs quickly and removes her hands from her mouth

'Yes Uncle... ' She smiles

Just then Ananya joins them for breakfast and takes seat beside Deepika and smiles at everyone

Ved looks at Ananya, and then at Arjun...
'Papa I need to talk to you after the breakfast... ' he says

'Okay... I'll be in my study... ' Arjun says

'I see you are dressed, this means you are going to your office at normal people's time...' Arjun comments looking at Vansh

'I have a meeting with my boss...' Vansh replies

'Okay.. So you actually work... ' Arjun taunts

Vansh looks at Ved, who signals him to keep quiet..

'Yes dad, I do work...' Vansh sighs

'One day, I would really like to know, what work you actually do... ' Arjun says

'Sure Dad, you just need to take out some time for me... ' Vansh replies without looking at his father

'You mean I don't... ' Arjun counters but Jai stops him

'Arjun please....' he holds his hands

Naina and Riya bring everyone's breakfast to the table and at the same time Aayan also joins them

He greets everyone, sitting beside Ved and opposite to Deepika, everyone greets him back, except Ananya, who was looking her manicured nails

'What's for the breakfast Badi Maa..?' Sayesha asks

'Your favorite Aloo parantha... ' Naina smiles

'Yeaaahhh... ' All the youngsters cheer, except Ananya who doesn't like eating spicy food

'Is it spicy Maa...?' Vansh asks excitedly

'I added extra chillies for you my kid...' Naina smiles and Vansh cheers

'Maa.. I don't... ' Ananya begins

'We know beta, you don't eat spicy food... So I made pancakes for you... ' Riya smiles at her

'Thank you Chachi... ' Ananya smiles taking her plate from Riya

'Typical... ' Aayan coughs, but everyone heard that, bracing themselves for another fight

'I watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S. as well ! If you want my attention just say it...!' Ananya glares at him

'I'd rather be invisible, then get your attention...' Aayan replies calmly, having his breakfast

'Whatever weirdo...' Ananya rolls her eyes, and start eating her breakfast..

'Isn't it Ironic Ved, the one who always blows fire from her mouth, can't even eat a chilli... ' Aayan comments and Ananya's siblings hold their smiles

'Aayan... ' Jai warns

'What do you mean by "Fire from the mouth"...' Ananya asks angrily

'Nothing Annie... ' Ved tries to control the situation

'I am talking about your Stupid, Mean and Vile words...' Aayan replies matching Ananya's tone

'Enough both of you... ' Arjun asks them to shut up and both of them glare at each other..

Naina serves breakfast to everyone and all of them start eating...

Ananya pours honey on her pancakes and Aayan smirks at her

'Hmph.. ' He makes sound to tease Ananya which is noticed by her

'Maa.. I'll have Vansh Bhai's paranthes.. ' Ananya says glaring at Aayan who smirks

Everyone stares at her shocked, as  Ananya who can't even taste spicy food, was asking for Vansh's extra spicy Paranthas

'Beta they have more chillies, wait I'll make the less spicy ones for you... ' Naina says getting up

'No Maa.. I want to eat spicy food today... ' Ananya states firmly

'Ananya... ' Deepika tries to stop her, but Ananya signals her to keep quiet

Naina looks helplessly towards Arjun, who nods at her

'Princess...Vansh eats extra spicy food, your Maa will make less spicy food for you... ' Arjun tries to convince her

'No Paa.. I want to eat Vansh Bhai's paranthe only... ' Ananya states firmly being stubborn like always..

'Hey ! They are mine... ' Vansh whines and Arjun gives him a warning look

But Ananya insists to eat spicy food at which Aayan smiles as his silent challenge was working..

They give up and serve her the spicy food, and as Ananya takes a bite of it, she finds it so spicy, that she immediately looks for water, but then her eyes land on Aayan, who was inviting her into an unannounced challenge of competing with him on eating the spicy food..

He picks up a chilli and eats it, maintaining a challenging look on his face staring at Ananya coaxing her to do the same

To everyone's shock even Ananya picks up a chilli and bites it..
It stings her taste buds, but she was not ready to give up in front of Aayan

'Annie... ' Ved looks at her horrified

'Ananya beta what are you doing... ' Naina asks worriedly

'Aayan don't eat chillies, you will fall sick beta, like last time... ' Jai says worriedly

Both of them don't reply and continue their challenge silently

After eating 4-5 chillies they so wanted to have water, but neither of them was ready to lose..

Now everyone's attention was on them

'Stop it both of you... ' Ved tries to stop them

But Aayan adds extra chilli sauce on his paranthas and Ananya copied his actions

When Aayan tasted it, he felt his mouth and throat on fire, but he wasn't ready to give up

Same was with Ananya, she was about to cry because of the burning sensation on her throat but she won't back off...

Now Ananya, adds chilli sauce, black pepper and chillies in her soup and challenges Aayan to do the same with her eyes at which Aayan giving her a challenging look mirrors her actions

'What are you guys doing...?' Deepika says worriedly

'Are you guys crazy...!' Vansh exclaims

None of them reply and have their soups which was so spicy that their eyes started watering and there was burning sensation inside their stomachs

'Bhai stop them... ' Adi says

'Naina take the soups and chillies away from them..' Arjun says looking at both of them

Naina and Riya take the soup and chillies away from them, and rush inside, to get something sweet..

As soon as their breakfast is taken away from them both of them take a deep breath and look around for water, their faces red and eyes watering

Deepika immediately pours water for them and they gulp the entire glass in one go, Ved refills their glasses and they drink it too, breathing heavily ad the food was so spicy that it gave burning sensation to their digestive system

'Are you guys crazy....?' Jai scolds them

'He started it...' Ananya says breathing heavily and pointing at Aayan

'Really...? Did I utter even a single word... ' Aayan counters drinking water

'But you challenged me... ' Ananya argues

'Shut up both of you... ' Naina comes out with ice cream bowls

Riya feeds Ananya, and Naina feeds the ice cream to Aayan...
Both of them felt a bit relieved, from the burning sensation inside their stomachs

'When will you both grow up... ' Arjun scolds and both of them look down in shame

'Don't repeat this please... It's not good for both of you... ' Naina says caressing Aayan's hair and they nod

'Maa my paranthes... ' Vansh whines and others chuckle

'I'll make more for you tomorrow...' Naina hands him bowl of fruit salad at which he frowns

Aayan and Ananya glare at each other..

This challenge was a tie !
But the bigger challenge of who apologises to whom was still on...

Let's see who wins that...
