Chapter 1
Its been rough lately. Oswald lost his wife, Ortensia to the deadly Ink illness. He's become dead inside and depressed. You and Mickey have done everything possible to help him. You always felt a pain in your heart when you saw his the sadness in his eyes. You had a crush on Oswald for the longest time. You were happy for him and Ortensia when they got married, but you couldn't deny you also got very jealous. You hid it very well, though, not wanting to ruing the friendship you and Oswald have had for so long. But now that Ortensia is gone, all the life just left Oswald.
You wanted to see Oswald happy again. But it just didn't seem like that would happen. You were currently sitting in the restaurant(?) Max worked at. You sighed as you rested your head on the counter. Max noticed that you looked troubled. "Are you alright?" He asked as he walked over to you. You look up at Max, putting on the best smile you could manage. "Yeah, I'm fine Max. Don't worry about me." You respond, causing Max to give you a look of suspicion.
Max decided its best not to argue and walked off to leave you in peace. Donald noticed how distressed you looked and leaned over to Mickey. "What's up with her?" He asked quietly, causing Mickey to look at you. "Oh, I think she's just worried about Oswald." Mickey responded. Donald rolled his eyes. "Honestly. She needs to stop trying so hard. You can't help everyone. Just do what you can and then leave it be." Donald said as he crossed his arms. "Donald, you know how she feels about Oswald." Mickey responded, causing Donald to sigh. "Yeah, yeah. I know." Donald responded.
You heard the door open and saw Oswald come in with his four hundred and twenty kids. You and Oswald come into contact eye to eye. You give him a small smile, but he just looks away. You sigh, feeling pain in your heart, yet again. The Bunny Children all smiled at you, waving. You smile as you wave back. They hop over to you, and one hops onto your lap. He sits down on your lap and you smile. You pet the little guy's head, causing him to smile brightly.
Oswald sat at an empty table as he watched his kids. Max brought him a coffee in which Oswald pays for. You pick up the child on your lap and stand up. You walk over to Oswald sitting across from him. "Hi, Oswald." You say, earning a wave in return. Of course, he was still your friend. He just didn't seem as close to you as before. Oswald drank his coffee as you sat with him and pet the bunny child on your lap.
You look at Oswald. "Hey, do you mind if I take the kids out to play for a while? Maybe at the park?" You asked. Oswald wrote on a board he always carried with him. 'Go ahead. Just have them home before dark.' The board said. "Of course." You say as you pick up the child on your lap and stand up. You then take the kids to the park. You let them play for a while and played with them if they wanted you to.
Soon the sun began to set. You decided you best get the kids home. "Come on, kids! Time to go!" You called. The children all followed you as you left the park. You headed to Oswald's place, knocking on the door when you arrive. Oswald opened the door. "Your kids are home." You said as the kids all ran inside. Oswald looked at you. You smiled a little. "I had fun with them. I should go now. Goodbye, Oswald." You said as you waved before walking away.
Oswald waved before closing the door, and you headed home thinking about how much fun you had today.
